very good service in lucknow as feeling as delhi mumbai and bengalore .very happy and suggest others go for party.go with my friend and brother and enjoy the party .thanks a lot to the staff for good .
This property is one of the best Gateway properties of the Taj. Feels like home every time you visit it. The rooms are very comfortable and the food is also great. The staff goes out of their way to help you - which I have experienced many a times on my various visits. The cinema next door also offers you a chance ti catch a late night movie and walk back to the hotel.
Well positioned and expansive property. Sense of calm evident as soon as you enter. Good breakfast and as expected from Taj properties there is a sense of familiarity with staff. In terms of improvements, the TV size is horribly inadequate.
Its not in busy area but its not far away either Good internet Speed. brekfast all preparation was perfect. Be it south indian food, lucknowi food or english breakfast. and even the tea was amazing. A bit expensive when compared to competition.
The hotel is under renovation and this was not informed to us during the booking. So we were caught unaware and were given a room which was stinking of paint. It took quite a while to change the room and the new room too had a lot of construction noise coming in during the daytime. So hardly a relaxing holiday. When I complained, they insisted that we were informed during the online booking so i showed them my online booking email as well as website screenshots and it was not mentioned anywhere on the website or on the email that the hotel was undergoing renovation. I may have complained about the WiFi about 7-8 times and they kept trying to sort the issue but it totally refused to work on my phone. Service standards were high, food was very good (fantastic breakfast to say the least), the hotel is really beautiful as I've mentioned in my previous review... if only they'd informed us about the renovation and not given us a smelly room, my review would have been vastly different.
Taj Hotel is best in Lucknow in all the departments rooms, food, space, location and staff. Good gardens and very good swimming pool. I specially liked the flute played in morning in the lobby. The pool is clean with enough beds for guest for sun bathing.value for money.rated 10 on 10
The Vivanta by Taj at Gomti Nagar, Lucknow is a beautiful property. It is nicely located in a wide, spacious and well laid out part of the city. Adjacent to the Gomti River, it is within walking distance to the river front (which has been well developed), as well as Ambedkar Park, Renaissance Lucknow (A Marriott Property) & Inox Mall. The property was built in 1995, however resembles a colonial structure from it's design and architecture. Overall, it is a modest structure, medium in size and amenities. Pros: 1. Great Taj hospitality & service. 2. Good location. 3. Good breakfast spread. 4. For lunch we tried the Nihari along with Sheermal, as well as the Mutton Biryani. Enjoyed Both! 5. Great Room Service as well as In-Room Dining. 6. The swimming pool, surrounded by the gardens and the rear of the building structure is very beautiful. 7. Great sleep quality. Cons: 1. Renovation was on during our stay with drilling and banging all day. We had been informed of this at the time of booking, but not specifically regarding the high decibel levels we should expect. We felt we should have been adequately informed. A renovation can vary from a simple paint job to the construction of a tower. We expected Taj to inform us adequately of the nature of the work and then allow us to decide whether to book or not basis complete information. To that extent we were very dissatisfied. We visited on a weekend (02 nights) to relax and the constant noise on the Saturday and Monday (till we checked out) was not appreciated at all. 2. The haircut at the salon was poor. 3. The swimming pool seems to have been a fountain converted into a pool so instead of a running drain along the sides of the pool, drainage happens from the passages which seem to have held the underwater lights of the fountain. From a hygiene perspective, we felt this was not the best solution. 4. We wanted to avail the spa and couldn't since they did not have the facility for a cross massage. 5. On reservations for haircuts, we specifically requested a reminder call five minutes prior to the scheduled time. The person taking the reservations confirmed as well, but never called a single time on three separate bookings. Tips: 1. There is an open shower adjacent to the pool. The shower/changing rooms are in the salon/spa. Towels are also available from there. 2. Order ice and water to your heart's content - complimentary. 3. Definitely go for a culinary food walk through the operator Tornos. It is definitely worth the trip (only for 'liberal' foodies). Book a ride also from them to avoid hassles of the old Lucknow roads and parking. The tour includes a visit to the famed Tundey Kabab. In all, a great staycation. The fifth star was confirmed had it not been for the noise.
Taj Lucknow is an excellent property with beautiful architecture, lanscaping, plush swimming pool, a good spa and a perfectly stacked gym. You will find all the modern amenities and facilities here in this hotel. The swimming pool is quite big and located among palm trees giving a feel of real mughal era. Pool facing rooms are really a delight to stay in. The room are quite modern and with all the latest and desirable amenities like tea maker, well stacked mini bar etc. The food here is average as it always used to be an issue which I found since my continuous stay here in last 15 years or so. The hotel rooms on 2nd floor and its coffee shop is under renovation which makes it bit difficult to stay during day time. Staff here is quite helpful and courteous. Overall, a good property in Lucknow to stay with.
A perfect example of hospitality and service, very friendly and helpful staff and superb food. You wont ever face any problem staying in Taj Lucknow but if anyhow you have one, it would be resolved within minutes.
