It was a bit difficult to get to the hotel due to all the diversions in place because of the metro being built but what a treat it was to get here. Front desk were polite and courteous and even upgraded us to a club room in the main building!!! A very nice surprise. We also organised a late check out at half the price too! The room was as you'd expect from such a property. We had a view, satellite TV, good wifi, VERY comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom with all the little amenities on offer. A daily paper is provided every morning and the breakfast is top notch, a variety of continental and Indian dishes with eggs made to order. The hotel also offers a roof top pool, a massage facility and business suites. A hotel offering excellent services whatever your travel needs. Located near the station we managed to get to all the attractions fairly easily. Tundy Kababi, the Residency and the Imambaras all 10/15 minute drive from the hotel. Tuk tuk drivers are available at the entrance gate if you need them but Lucknow also offers Uber services which were also perfect. Use the wifi in the hotel lobby to book. Be warned - at the time of writing there is a lot of traffic in Lucknow due to the building of the metro. Add on more time to your journey, sometimes the traffic was hellish!!! A pleasant stay in the Golden Tulip!
2 Km from railway station & 11 Km from airport, this hotel has two wings i.e. old ( they call it heritage) & new which has restaurant at 1st floor, swimming pool at 6th & gym at 7th floor. Rates are reasonable & are negotiated at counter even if there is no booking. Staff is excellent & service is good. Hotel is neat, clean & buffet is wide spread. This hotel is opposite Tripathy sweets which is small shop but having nice sweets & farsan. Many food joints serve dahi jalebi & other snacks around hotel. Shopping areas are nearby. Metro rail construction is causing chaos but may be for the time being. World spa in hotel is good but costly. Hotel charges Rs. 1000/- extra for new wing rooms.
Although it is amongst the hustle and bustle and a lot of construction, the hotel itself is quite good. Staff are very helpful and has a good restaurant too. Had a few issues with internet but that was resolved.
This is in the centre of Lucknow so it is very easy to get everywhere. Upon check in we were told that we were originally booked in the old building but had been upgraded to the new building. Some areas just had the general lack of maintainence that everywhere in India seems to have such as the grating around the pool all broken, even the headings in the foyer in regards to what is on each floor near the lift had had lettering fall off. Attention to detail isn't a strong point in India. Breakfast was extremely disappointing for what we got. No western food only Indian. I asked for a coffee and it came 15-20 minutes later. The next morning we thought we would order room service instead which turned out to be a head ache as no on could understand the English word "cereal" even though it's right there on their own menu. It was a nice hotel. If the room service and restaurant worked on their service times it would be greati
I was here for a short stay, decent hotel, in the heart of the city (too congested though), close to the heart of the city. Couple of negatives - rooms were too small and staff though courteous, need to improve on the efficiency part...
The rooms are really nice and clean. It is located at a very convenient place and one can access a lot of places from there. The food at the hotel was really good but the staff is a bit aloof and that was sort of a dampener.
I go to lucknow frequently and stayed here for the first time. Good location. I had booked a standard room but they upgraded me to a better room. Food was good. In room dining takes longer than usual though. I had a huge load of laundry. It was delivered on time and perfectly done. (I am too choosy about my laundry). Housekeeping services were absolutely fantastic. Mr. Yusuf at the reception helped me out with some issue during the check out. Btw i checked out at 4am.
I chose this hotel mainly as it has a swimming pool. But we were very happy and pleasantly surprised at the overall good services in this hotel. It has been built on truly international standards and the complimentary breakfasts were excellent; great choice of western and Indian menus with tasty food. The swimming pool maintainence and size exceeded my expectations as one could take reasonable laps for a decent workout. There is also a good gym. The menu had a great mix of continental, chinese, Indian and local recipes on offer and the room service was prompt and courteous. Rooms were spacious and comfortable and the staff was efficient and helpful. We were there for 5 nights and again for one night to catch my flight back home and the hotel kindly allowed us to keep our luggage behind when we went to Gorakhpur . However would have liked the TV to have HD sports channels and perhaps the car service attached to the hotel should have drivers with better knowledge of the city. Missed out on seeing the La Martiniere School and Race course as they did not know about them. But yes, would like to stay there if I am in the city again....
we had to book this hotel last minute and so glad we did, it was lovely ,the staff were really kind and helpful, and the room" wow", really nice the bed was so comfortable a great bathroom and good shower, couldn't have had a nicer room for our anniversary.
Although the hotel is centrally located but to reach there one has to wade through the traffic, the rooms are really small and are not worth the price . Further it is divided into two segment and staff is really laid back and services are pathetic
