San Luca Palace Hotel

The San Luca Palace is a well situated luxury Hotel on one of the main streets of Lucca. My husband is disabled and he had a bathroom of his own to suit his needs. Our room had traditional decor and was spacious and comfortable overlooking the cobbled street below. The Hotel has outside space at the front where we could sit and have drinks. Breakfast provided us with lots of choice, all delicious from eggs and bacon to a continental breakfast with fruits and pastries. Snacks were included after 18.00 which I would look forward to. The staff were friendly, efficient and supportive of our needs. Simone the manager ordered a delightful cake for the wedding party at our request as well as transfers to and from Pisa airport. I dream of going back.

This hotel exceeded our expectations. I booked it because we were flying out of PIsa airport the next day and it seemed a good place for our last night. First of all, Lucca is beautiful. I wish that I had more than one day there. This hotel is in a great location. It is right inside the walls, so you can easily bike the walls with the free loaner bikes, or walk into the old city. The staff at reception were very helpful and kind. The room was spacious, clean, and very quiet. The best part was that the next day we simply walked three minutes to the bus stop for the direct bus to Pisa Airport.

The San Luca Palace is a delightful hotel. Service from the front desk was superb. The room was very comfortable. The hotel has an enviable location within the city walls. You shouldn't be disappointed.

We stayed here for 1 night to allow us to explore Lucca. We were incredibly well looked after, quick check-in, spacious and clean room and excellent service re maps and using bikes (complimentary) to ride around the wall and the town. We loved our stay here, grazie!

Highly recommend this lovely hotel in a prime location. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent breakfast and delivered in everything as advertised. Happily recommend to anyone travelling to Lucca and we would stay again.

This hotel was recommended by friends and it was a pleasure to experience this great walled town from this boutique hotel. It was easy to find and was a manageable distance from the railway station! The room, bedding and bathroom were perfect. The staff were brilliant, very welcoming and helpful and the aperitifs served from 6 pm were an excellent touch and professionally done. Breakfast was included and offered a good range of choices to suit everyone! Another first rate touch was the availability of free cycle use for guests. Well done! We were sorry to leave. Thank you to all the staff!

Well located, upscale, great breakfast, nice 6 o'clock wine and snack buffet...but most of all the staff went way out of their way to help us find the favorite places that the locals like to visit. The staff are extremely pleasant and friendly in every interaction. Highly recommended!

Spent three nights at this property being upsold over the phone to a Jr. Suite, which was a joke. It had a kick out of 6 feet with built in sofa , called a Jr. Suite, don't waste your money. The bed was hard an uncomfortable, the bathroom small, the shower spilled water all over the bathroom when turned on. The breakfast was decent for such a property. We drove in from Milano, so had a car and they did have a small lot to accommodate, otherwise its location is in the perimeters of Lucca and we wouldn't waste our time/ money again. One lady at front desk was nice and helpful, the rest not so much. If you go to Lucca take a 2 hour tour from tourist agency , which really shows the hidden gems/ history , otherwise you could be very disappointed. Ironically we did this on 3rd day , so the first 2 days we found Lucca , hot/ dirty, with little charm... the tour changed all that to a real Tuscan Gem . Il Giglio was the best restaurant we found there... lots of mediocre pizza joints otherwise.

This a relatively small hotel on the edge of Old Lucca - just inside the walls. The receptionist staff were friendly and welcoming every time we returned to the hotel after being out. The room was of a good size and overlooked the street. It was fantastic to actually have a shower stall instead of a shower over a bath tub which was difficult to enter and exit. Breakfast was excellent and it was close to lots of different restaurants. The hotel was only a short walk to the centre of the Old City with its many sights.

A very good small hotel in an excellent position in Lucca. Super helpful staff, good rooms, excellent breakfast - everything works! Good parking next door, although our (French) GPS stubbornly refused to find it. It helps if you have a rough idea where you are going.
