Stayed here for my 50th birthday bash. Played a nice round of golf nearby, drove to the Cincinatti open, and an easy drive to downtown Louisville for some bourbon trail tours. House was perfect to wind down and offered lots of room for sleeping arrangements.

Great for Eight!

We came with a group of 8 guys for a golf weekend and the place was perfect! We all had our own bed and everyone loved having so many bathrooms. Everyone couldn’t stop talking about how perfect the place was for us. We enjoyed a game of bags in the private back yard. The open kitchen and living area was perfect for our group to have a few drinks and huddle around the TV for a playoff game or two. The owners were responsive and great. Thank you for having us!

Fantastic Family Fun!

We had a fabulous stay at the Oak Barrel Lodge! Our group was in town for an event and had three generations staying together. There were 15 of us in total. The house was easy to find using GPS. It is very private and had its own parking lot which perfectly fit our 5 cars. The exterior is beautiful and well maintained. One note-if coming from Louisville, you may want to prepay for the toll road or program your GPS to avoid toll roads if you don’t want the added expense. It is not expensive but the payment of tolls is a little different than what we have at home. The home’s main area has an open concept kitchen, dining and living room. This worked really well for games and social activities for the family. The decor is gorgeous and well fitting with the name of the home. We loved the oak barrel feature wall. The back patio has ample seating for outside dining and games to play in down time. We thoroughly enjoyed playing corn hole and connect four while others sat at the table chatting away. The kitchen and dining area is fabulous! There is plenty of room for everyone to sit and eat. There was plenty of storage for us to put enough food for our group for the three days that we were there. It is very thoughtful that the host makes sure to have enough tableware and cutlery for a large group. The bedrooms and bedding are comfortable with ample beds. There are plenty of bathrooms and powder rooms and they are beautiful! We had a great stay! Highly recommended!

Very good overall, ideal for its purpose

Nicely remodeled, comfortable, practical place - with multiple bathrooms, some en suite, and a washer/dryer, it's especially good for larger groups and longer stays. Clear documentation, very accommodating and responsive hosts/management, no onerous unreasonable demands for checkout/cleanup. The immediate neighborhood is sort of unusual - the building is in a complex of apparently unrelated medical facilities - can make for a laugh with Uber dropoffs, and a question or two from food delivery drivers. (The small parking lot left over from whatever this building was before is very practical for multiple or large vehicles.) But walkable to a Starbucks, Walgreens, and a few other useful spots. And though it's across the river in Indiana, you can think of it as pretty much Louisville - very easy and quick in and out of Louisville and environs. Positive experience at a place where the owners/hosts/management are clearly trying to make it so. Good stuff.

Lovely, comfortable home.

This is group of 12 women (college friends) who gather yearly for a reunion. This home was perfect for this years gathering. Plenty of room, (six bathrooms!) Very clean. Great gathering spaces. Great safe parking and easy to get anywhere in Louisville, Jeffersonville, Clarksville, or New Albany. Very quiet neighborhood. Easy checkin/checkout. I would recommend this property for a group for sure!

Bourbon Trail Stay

Large house that was clean and modern. One of the AC units on main floor broke the first night and was not fixed until after we left. That was a huge invonvenience as it made the temperature in the house very cold in some areas and super hot in others. The beds are a bit hard but otherwise it was a nice place to stay.

Great Experience

Our family gathered for our son's wedding at a nearby venue. Everything was new, a bedroom for everyone, plenty of bathrooms and great gathering space. Great kitchen with plenty of seating and the private outdoor patio was nice. Parks nearby and easy access to Louisville downtown area. This is a great property for a large family! We thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Nice place but will not get entire deposit back.

Apparently a kid carved Fortnite on wall. Not deep at all!!! Charged half deposit for a 5 min fix. Pillow case dirty and neighborhood definitely not the safest. Place was nice and communication was good.

Let me tell you this property is a hidden gem 2.5 miles either way you go!! Property is well taken care of and you will not be disappointed. Enough room for our family of (8)!!
