We have stayed at dozens of VRBO properties and I have never left a bad review. I feel like I must for this house. Let me start by saying the property manager was amazing and addressed our concerns in a very timely manner. I have no issues with the owner/manager. The house, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. There were 10-20 dead ants (glad they were dead) in the home. The bathroom had hair on the floor and shower. The shower never got hot, just warm. The ceiling fans were caked with dust. The baseboards were filthy and need to be repainted. The rug in the bedroom was stained. The master bed was rattly and generally uncomfortable. The queen bed in the back bedroom was much more comfortable and that’s where we slept. The neighborhood is very run down and the neighboring properties seem abandoned. I would never walk around this neighborhood and feel safe. The noise coming from the street was extremely disruptive in the evening and in the morning. People sped by and revved their engines like they were in a street race. There was a Louisville festival that weekend that the owner said it caused the traffic. But it was also disruptive at 7 am so I blame the position of the house in relation to the street corner. We cut our trip short and left a day early because the house was so poor. I am from the Flint area so I’m not a delicate flower who gets uncomfortable in a run-down, dangerous area of town. I simply know the areas to avoid and I’d avoid this house.
