A group of girlfriends and I stayed at Club Regina, and we had a wonderful time. The staff were always willing to help. The bell boys always greeted us with a smile! The location is beautiful; although you can't swim in the water, the view is spectacular. Fair warning: the 90-minute timeshare presentation actually ended up taking 3 hours, so plan accordingly. But the perks are great! Can't wait to come back.
We had the most amazing time at club Regina. We take a vacation once a year and this year we decided to go to Cabo. We picked this resort because of the beautiful pictures, which by the way don't give the view justice. Every room faces the ocean, and at night you hear the waves Ashing against the shore. All I could say was AMAZING!! I also want to tell you the amazing staff that served us. Every time we go to Mexico and the people treat us like kings and queens. Luis, Daniel and Kariitzy. They could not do enough for us. They went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable and happy. Everyday was fun and exciting!! Thank you!!!! For all you hard work. Don and I can't wait to go back and see our new friends.
This was one of the most relaxing stays I have had in years. Staff is super friendly and want to help you have a good time. The bell staff who drove us around the resort were simply some of the nicest hardest working people I have ever met. Cannot wait to return to see them again! We hugged them when we left! No one approaches us about buying. They let us enjoy our stay without any pressure. Beautiful location! Multiple pools and multiple happy hours to choose from!
I wanted to point out that Daniel was great. His yoga class on the beach and also his water aerobics class was worth going to and I enjoyed it. He was fun and playful at Mexican bingo by the pool. He deserves 5 stars! Jesus also did a wonderful massage at the Club spa!
My wife and I and our (3) sons had a wonderful week at the Club Regina Los Cabos Raintree Resort in June '17. The people were so friendly and accommodating, the rooms were very comfortable, and we truly appreciate the hospitality. We would like to thank Juan Carlo, Humberto, Gustavo, Gilberto, Mr. Pineda, Brito, Jorge, Victoria, Monica and everyone else who helped make our stay a pleasant one. I highly recommend this resort based on the amazing people all of which provide 5-Star service, and our very accommodating. Thanks again!
We were pleasantly surprised to have a wonderful, restful and rejuvenating time at the Club Regina Los Cabos. Everywhere we went the people were truly friendly, warm and genuine. The Club and the adjoining Westin are set apart from the main tourist hotel corridor, lending to the feeling of peace and solitude which was exactly what we wanted. It added to a feeling of exclusivity but at a good price. 5 things that we really liked about the Club Regina Los Cabos: 1) Our room - amazing uninterrupted views of the ocean. We could not believe that we were able to sleep every night to the sound of the waves crashing. At this time of year (June), it is very comfortable to sleep with the windows open, ceiling fan on, AC off. The recently renovated rooms added to the luxe-feel with a well-equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds, en-suite jacuzzi and huge bathrooms. We stayed in 2244 which we loved. Tip: Bring or buy paper towels and a dish sponge. 2) The architecture - very beautiful. Was what drew us to the place several years ago when we first came. It's on an incline but with ubiquitous and easily available shuttles on demand to ferry you from place to place if you didn't feel like walking. We walked most of the time so that we could enjoy the stunning views that every spot afforded. The earth light browns and beautiful blues made the property feel cleverly part of the landscape. Loved, loved the feel. Tip: Watch the sunrise, sunset and the stars at night. Magical. 3) The food - Shockingly decent and better than the Westin next door in our opinion. It depends on what you want, but we were more interested in creative but relatively simple Mexican fare rather than non-Mexican food and that is why we preferred the offerings at the Club Regina over the Westin. Chilaquiles (roja or verde) for breakfast, tortilla soup for dinner and flan for dessert. Who can beat that? Room service is also surprisingly a good deal and we would sometimes eat with the family in the comfort of our apartment on the generous dining room table. Tip: Order room service. You will be surprised. 4) The pools - gently heated so perfect for cooler evenings. Fantastic infinity pools. Great pool service for snacks and drinks. Tip: Use the pools! 5) The people - genuine friendly smiles. A total can-do attitude. We were worried about the potential time-share hard-sell but we were able to quietly decline (we are members but were offered a plan upgrade which we were not currently interested in). Everyone - from the room service delivery folks, to the cafe barrista, the golfcart drivers and the front desk staff (like Aldo at checkout) were on point. Tip: get local tips from the numerous helpful staff. 5 tips for a great experience at the Club Regina Los Cabos: -Drink a caffe latte with cajeta (the Mexican caramel) in the lobby cafe. Delicioso! -Order room service (we never usually order room service but were pleasantly surprised by the offerings and cost here) -If you arrange transportation from the airport (we elected not to rent a car in this trip), try to ask them to stop briefly at the "La Comer" megastore which is on the way to the Club Regina. We were able to get 20 mins on the way to get water, milk, pool inflatables for the kids, yogurt, mangoes, guavas, small bananas and papaya -Use the Westin facilities for a different - still very aesthetic - vibe. Pools, gym, restaurant and bar (although we were very satisfied with our own at the Club Regina) -Go into town! San Jose del Cabo is a quick 15-20 minutes away. US$20 by taxi (good if you are going with a large group) or just 20-30 pesos on a bus on the road that comes every 10-15 minutes and takes you straight into town. We loved town for an amazing local seafood restaurant (very popular with locals - a great sign): Toro guero. Also loved the galleries, the fruit and vegetable town mercado (not the tourist one on the main highway), and the shop selling paletas near the main town church. Muchas gracias Club Regina en Los Cabos!
Club Regina has breathtaking views and sits near the Ocean. Cons - a sales representative is on site right when you arrive to discuss time share options, several phone calls during the visit to make an attempt to discuss time share options and sales staff walk around and ask your room number to check which time share or event option to sell you on. IM ON VACATION DAMMIT ! The staff expect a tip to drive you around on a golf cart because the incline to get anywhere around here is just that an incline. This resort would be very difficult for people who require special accommodations. The resort is kid friendly which is fine until you see a kid eating his food while he is in the pool and washing his hands in the pool. Does anyone have a backbone to tell him or his parents that this is not permitted. How unsanitary. A rent a car is required unless you don't mind spending $30-40 one way into town. The shuttle service from the airport here was great but there is a federal law that prohibits the shuttle to pick you up from the resort to take you back to the airport. That means unless you are smart and request a shuttle to the Westin for drop off and pick up you will be stuck paying $50.00 minimum to get back to the airport. The Westin is right next door - about 50 ft. The language barrier to communicate can be a difficult one. If you call the front desk to ask questions it may be possible that they are unable to answer it but if not the person may need to transfer you to someone else. This leads to multiple transfers and either you will be disconnected or no one knows what your talking about. The mini store is a joke - nothing but junk food oh and they only accept pesos but the upside is that they accept a major credit card. You have to do the exchange rate math on your own. The massage I got was terrible !!!! It is a lotion application that costs $75.00 for a 50 minute session. The one bedroom is wonderful. Very spacious and private. You will need to turn on the hot water for the shower on full blast for a few minutes then when the water is hot you can add the cold water to it. The kitchen is great for cooking but the nearest grocery store is 7-8 miles - again the $60.00 a day rent a car may be worth it to avoid all of this transportation mess. That is the cost of the rental when you arrive at the resort if you choose the rent a car option re - $60.00. At the airport a rental will cost $150.00 with insurance for the week. Word to the wise if you get pulled over your license will be seized and you must go to court to pay the fine in order to get your license back. There is a parking fee at the resort for the rental car of $17.00 per day. This place attempt to gouge American visitors because they must think every American has deep pockets. There are artists that come to the resort to sell things again if they know your American the price for the items will be higher. The infinity pools are nice. You are able to use the Westin pools and amenities which is great however to use the Westin gym a charge of $10.00 a day will apply. The Westin has a better everything. You have to get your towel rental from Club Regina though because the Westin will not give you one unless they think you are from Mexico or can speak Spanish. The beach is not swimmable at any time. The current can suck you right in. Westin has a lifeguard but not Club Regina. The housekeeping here is excellent and those are the people to tip which I did generously. The main dining area - terrible. The food is 1 1/2 stars and that is being generous. I ordered chicken nachos by the pool not to eat while I'm in the pool and this is a tip - order your food when they get busy or the nachos will be under cooked - who the heck can screw up tortilla chips - yes Club Regina. There are no evening activities. You can purchase an all inclusive wrist band - $70.00 a day so if your a drinker sure but I don't drink. The travelers are wonderful and you can meet very kind people. This resort is for those who want to relax without the environment of a party lifestyle. I hope this review helps.
We were there on a family vacation for 7 days. We had a suite with a bedroom plus a kitchen and a living area plus a sofa bed and a gorgeous beach front balcony. The infrastructure was world class, as was the service. There is a limited amount of restaurants on the property, and while its not all inclusive by default, you can purchase it during checkin without problem. For us it was more convenient not to, and to go outside and buy groceries. We did use the restaurants for lunch and dinner a couple of times, and the food was excellent. The staff goes out of their way to make you comfortable and are always willing to help, plus basically everyone is bilingual, so no issues with language. There are activities scheduled for grown ups and kids. There is also a pool dedicated to adults only to avoid noise and for a more private setting. You are also steps away from the Westin. The beach on this particular side of Cabo is not for swimming but provides stunning views. If you want a quieter pool you can drive 10 - 15 minutes and be in one. We did however see a pack of dolphins swim and jump in the water from our bedroom terrace as well as manta rays plus sea lions swim by as well. I also got the chance to go running in the morning and it was an unforgettable experience. Overall extremely happy and planning to return. They tell me the property is usually quiet and you don't feel it ever crowded, and it was lovely for us. A special thank you to Don Edelberto who drove us around in his cart inside the property and gave us excellent service always with a smile, plus to Jhael who did our room the entire week and made stuffed animals from towels for my daughter everyday and she LOVED them. I thought it was very thoughtful to do that for her. Thank you, it is truly and fantastic property with contemporary mexican architecture, We dont smoke but if you do, there are dedicated areas to do so.
My wife and I had a great time at Club Regina for a week. The staff at Club Regina were very friendly and professional. The bellmen were great. Jose and Andres always greeted us with a smile. Daniela and Krishna were also very helpful and courteous. Miguel in the Inizio was also super. It was our first time in Cabo and my wife fell in love with the Sea of Cortez, the views from our balcony were amazing. Both the towns of Cabo and San Jose are a short drive from Club Regina making the location very conveinient. We also felt very safe when both walking on the beaches and eating in the fine restaurants in San Jose. We met many coupes who said they had been coming there for years, now we know why. We are already planning our next visit.
The rooms are just renovated, excellent distribution for the two rooms units with all you need, just lacking some kitchen utensils. Lot of swimming pools, but strongly recommended to ask for units as close to the nearest swimming pool as possible. The views are incredible at all times. Is quiet, relaxing and you can use most of the Hotel Westin facilities all close to the club. Rent a car in the airport so you can move to San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, you will enjoy both towns and find better and cheaper food . Definitely one of the best places to vacation in Mexico. PD. is not possible that you pay in cash and they charge you again to your room, as "Rodrigo Z" comments
