Condo was very nice clean , big and had great views. The location has many advantages. It was quite location , not many people , nice pools and great view. The ocean was not swim-able but you can take nice walks. The mail issue was lack of restaurants. There are only 2 restaurants near by that belong to resort and both are extremely overpriced and horrible food. I would be ok if the prices are high if the food is great but it was terrible, bad quality not taste at all. Like paying $100 for Macdonald burger. So you have to take taxi to get to restaurants which is about $70-$100 both ways . It will add up quick. We end up going to grocery store and cook ourselves which on vacation is not that fun . Overall it was good experience but we will not return
Casa del Mar has three sections to it as far as I know. One is the boutique hotel, and the first section of condos, older ones but closer to the main hotel building and the second condo addition that is obviously newer. This property is one a favorite for it's beautiful flowers, location, staff and a very relaxed feeling. It has a peace and serenity that makes it a class of it's own! Last year we stayed in the first condo section and loved it main floor and convenient to everything about the property. We had a two bedroom and the kitchen was older. Again we loved it. This year we had a one night stay in this condo and it is a nice unit in the new Condos. Ground floor and the pool is right out the door. One thing about this location is at night the road noise was a little loud, the view was nice. Make sure you check that the internet is refreshed. We had very S..L..O...W interrupted connection. Hard when you reconfirming flights etc. We love this property overall. Great beach location, you can walk for miles on the beach and take a horse ride or buy some local goods. The Spa at Casa del Mar is wonderful. Daniel is a first class manager and if you want an amazing massage book one with Cristina. WOW!
