An unexpected delay in travel plans at 11pm forced me to search for a place to stay overnight. The Kings Lodge Motel seemed to be one of the least expensive private room with bath options in a safe neighborhood not too far from downtown Los Angeles. My requirements were simple because I only needed a place to sleep for 7 hours: bed, shower, towels, soap and shampoo. I used the air conditioning briefly to lower the temperature in the room. The guy at the front desk was friendly and helpful. If you only need an inexpensive place to shower and sleep, this place will meet your needs, but don't expect much more. I find better values using AirBnB, but my late night change in plans made that alternative impossible.

Very clean room. New beds, fresh linen, some rooms have a couch in them. The bathrooms are huge and private with enough room for your luggage, as their is a walk-in closet in each bathroom. The city view is amazing. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to get away for some piece and quiet.

Clean rooms, big private bathrooms, i had a city view room which was very nice at night. Bed was comfortable and very quiet for a friday night. Staff was friendly and didn't bother us. Cable tv and even had a sofa bed. Recommended for couples and small families.
