5/5 Excellent

"This is the second time we've stayed at this property and it's still out favorite in the area. It's easily the most stocked property we've stayed at, there's nothing we needed that wasn't available on-site. The lake view and fire pit are pitch perfect as well. Will definitely stay at again."

4/5 Good

"Spectacular Views, but Disappointing Accommodations — 4 StarsThe views from Ray’s Retreat are absolutely spectacular and easily the highlight of our stay! The upstairs living area was charming, cozy, and comfortable.Unfortunately, the downstairs primary bedroom and bathroom were disappointing. Renovations appeared unfinished, with light fixtures hanging from the ceiling, areas around the shower needing repair, poor lighting, and an unpleasant septic-like odor. The space felt dark and dungeon-like compared to the inviting upstairs. The stairs were also challenging due to my mobility limitations. On a positive note, the showers had excellent water pressure and plenty of hot water!Cleanliness was another concern. Several dishes were downright dirty, and a posted notice essentially placed responsibility for sanitizing dishes on guests. For the price of this rental, clean dishes should be a basic expectation. We also had no working Wi-Fi, and VueStay, the property management company, was unable to resolve the issue. As longtime Vrbo customers, we found this to be one of the most misleading properties we’ve experienced. The spectacular setting and cozy upstairs were wonderful, but the overall condition and management fell short of expectations. With better maintenance and cleanliness, this property could be a real gem."
