Stay here yearly for our School Reunions and never had a problem before. Don't get me wrong its a lovely place to stay and food is great as are the staff. Just need to iron out small issues. I was charged for breakfast altho I paid for in in my booking and during breakfast I told the waitress the sausage was missing from my breakfast and was told she would get it.. it never appeared which made it even worse being double charged. Don't let these small things put you off its a nice hotel with a fab pub and decent bèer
The hotel room was modern and well appointed. We had dinner at the hotel, which was also very good. The only problem I encountered was that on arrival it was explained that I had booked room only but if I wanted breakfast I could with a voucher receive a discount reducing it from £13.95 to £9.95. I replied that I would do that as I intended to stay for breakfast, and seeing a % reduction graphic on the back of the keycard assumed that was it, as you normally carried that around anyway while at the hotel. When I checked out it was stated that I required a different voucher, which was now produced from behind reception (ie not visible when you check in), and I would have to pay full price as I had already consumed the breakfast, and now could not be amended. The %discount voucher on the back of the keycard was infact a % reduction for a future stay. In addition although the breakfast was excellent, it was missing the sausage promised on the menu, which is a sad deficit of any english breakfast. Sadly I left the hotel feeling sour, despite all teh positives previously encountered.
Have been working in the area recently when I passed this Fullers pub/ hotel. Really pleased as it ticks all the boxes for me and is much better than other hotels we use in the area. Rooms are really nice (think recently refurbished) fridge, fresh milk and filter coffee etc. Restaurant is great and the bar is a traditional style. Breakfast was 1 of the best in terms of quality and service. Price is cheap for London and worth every penny. A must stay if you are looking for a pleasant overnight with good food and excellent staff
Lovely room, , with some nice touches such as the coffee cafetierre etc. It was unfortunate the Wi-Fi in the area was down, but there was signage to let you know. The staff were very welcoming and moved me to a room closer to Reception for my convenience and at their suggestion. The Car Park is small and once a few vans are parked it's tight but don't let that put you off staying here.
We were attending a function in Uxbridge and this hotel was the nearest we could find for the Saturday night. We booked a room with breakfast and were pleasantly surprised when we entered our room, we had the the Henrietta Marie room very near. Clearly a superior room with an impressive bed, TV, a number of drawers and storage space and a couple of comfortable chairs. A fridge with fresh milk, still and sparkling water and 2 bottles of London Pride (it's a fullers hotel) were also provided. Room was a little cold but we found the thermostat and it soon warmed up. Bathroom very well set out, walk in shower, a little cold and didn't find any means to warm it up but being there for only one night meant wasn't an issue. Breakfast Sunday morning was excellent and all staff are pleasant enough. Very efficient booking in and out. Would happily use again if we needed somewhere to stay in the area.
Fantastic stay would recommend. a lovely homely hotel with lovely staff and excellent food and drink. It makes you feel at home away from home. Staff are always available to meet your needs and attend to these quickly
A reasonable hotel which was in an ideal location for a funeral at Breakspear Crematorium which was a 15 minute easy drive from the Hotel. Executive room had all the expected facilities other than it had only one chair - seems to be that all hoteliers expect a double room to only have one guest A request for an additional chair was quickly dealt with.
Great little gem and certainly not what we expected! Lovely pub/hotel, good value for money and amazing food. The room were very well appointed with the most amazing bed so comfy and the linen and quilt was of excellent quality. We had no trouble sleeping and actually overslept and had to ask for a delayed departure time! The food in the pub was also very good my husband had the beef and ale pie and claimed it was the best he had ever eaten, the pie was packed with meat and the gravy it was served with had an excellent depth of flavour. My salt beef sandwich was a little disappointing as the felt that the salt beef was more slices of silverside than long slow cooked slat beef with a deep and succulent flavour. However it was quite acceptable and i am being rather picky! The staff were very friendly and helpful.
First time in here. Good to have a free parking area , defiantly an added value compared to other pubs. Enjoyed our drinks on this not very busy Monday evening , however the restaurant area was nearly full. Probably will go back to try the food. Staff are good.
The Red Lion was incredible value for an affordable rate. We were warmly greeted at the desk. The accommodations were beyond our expectations and well worth the distance from London to stay here. I would highly recommend the Red Lion to anyone wanting to visit London but enjoy a nice, quiet, and relaxing stay while you're out of the city.
