This was a terrible experience. The host falsely advertised the property as being 15 minutes from Wembley Park, it’s actually much farther, in an isolated and dodgy area. I only received the exact address after booking, and I went to check it out, I felt it was completely unsuitable for my family.
I messaged the host immediately to cancel and asked for a refund. She refused, not even a partial refund, even though she’s the owner and could have easily done so.
I reached out to Expedia to file a complaint, but they told me I had to resolve the matter directly with her since she manages the listing independently.
In the end, I never stayed at the property, as I booked a hotel instead, but she still kept the entire payment, even a cleaning fee, despite no one ever checking in. Her responses were rude, dismissive, and completely lacking in empathy.
This felt like a scam. Zero flexibility, zero customer care, just taking money and running. Avoid this listing.
