Hotel Saint Aignan

We had some trouble getting into thr hotel. That's because the reception is on the first floor and if you want to use the parking garage it's not easy to temporarily park your car. Anyhow, one of us went to the reception while the driver managed to deal with angry and impatient fellow road users. She came back with an incredibly courtaous receptionist who walked in front of the car to get us into the huge garage underneath the hotel/appartment building. The hotel itself has little to offer but sleeping accommodation. Our room was very basic but clean and so was the bathroom. Breakfast was in line with the rest of the hotel's offerings: basic but sufficient. Saint Aignan is located within walking distance of the centre of Orleans so it's no problem to go out for dinner. By the way: booking this hotel instead of via a booking site had the advantage of getting a package deal: room, breakfast and parking included. Just a tip.

This hotel is handy for the City centre which is a short walk away. The outside of the hotel isn't too pretty, it looks more like an office block. There is an underground car park, but to access this you need to park outside and go in and ask the receptionist to open the door to the car park, so this is fairly secure. To get to the road outside of the hotel you'll need to turn off of the main road outside of the hotel and turn off again onto the small side road that runs outside of the hotel. The rooms could do with a bit of modernisation and I didn't see any outside space. When booking I suggest that you ask for a room away from the lift, this is particularly noisy when its in use and could wake you up. So, in essence, more of a functional hotel than pretty. There is breakfast at the hotel but, when we stayed, there was no evening meal available.

We stayed with our family (2 small kids) and we loved our stay. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, the room was neat and clean, the location perfect and the brilliant very good. Would recommend everyone!

We only stayed for one night it was a great location only five minutes walk to restaurants and shopping. Buffet breakfast and off street parking was very secure the staff were extremely helpful and patient.

People at the reception are very friendly and helpful. It is really close to everything. Walking distance to station, town centre or to walk to the banks of the Loire. Breakfast buffet is nice and is served on the first floor. One little thing, the cleaners should clean toilet bowls thoroughly under the rim. Will stay there again. French: Accueil sympa . Des gens tres agreables. Lhotel est bien situé, proche de la gare, du centre ville et du bord de la Loire. C faisable a pied. Seul bemol la cuvette des toilletes qu'il faut vraiment nettoyer à fond. J'y retournerai volontiers.

It was a cheap option. basics. Stay somewhere else if you want any kind of front desk presence or normal hotel activity. It was more like a forgotten converted business building that was almost uninhabited.

The hotel may not look much from the outside, but rooms very good value and well maintained, plus the staff extremely helpful. Only a short walk from central Orleans as well. Very close to Orleans station also.

Spent one night here visiting Orleans with my partner. The on-site parking was a real bonus, which meant we could walk around the city and enjoy the sites. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and spoke excellent English. The room was immaculate and the bathroom excellent, but with no window or extractor fan, which was its only minus. The buffet breakfast was extensive and plentiful. Highly recommended!

Excellent reception staff who spoke good English and were extremely helpful. A good place for cave parking in a city that has too little room for cars. Parking was under the hotel and easy assessable although expensive. The other aspects of the hotel decor, furnishings etc were as expected from a hotel of this clas.

We stopped here on the way back from Spain - fantastic location and Orleans is a beautiful city and well worth a visit on its own. The hotel is ideally placed - 5 mins walk from Cathedral etc. Only complaint about room is that because of lack of air-con the night was very unpleasant due to the humid weather. Other than that everything was better than expected for this type of stop-over and I would recommend without hesitation.
