We had a pleasant one night stay while traveling through Orleans. It is nicely located within walking distance of the main attractions in central Orleans. The highlight of our visit was the pleasant young lady, Juliette, who was working at the desk when we arrived and when we left. She quickly took care of the problem that we had booked the wrong date and had arrived one day ahead of our reservation date. With a smile, she booked us into a room for the night while apologizing because they had no rooms left of the larger size we had reserved for the following night. We were just happy she found a room for us and, while it was smaller, it was fine and we spent a comfortable night there. She recommended that we park in the city garage down the street in order to save money since the hotel had an arrangement there for its guests which turned out to be a good deal. Would definitely recommend this hotel as one with a friendly and helpful staff and as a well-priced and well-located hotel for an overnight stop.
Situated at the edge of old Orleans the hotel is 5 min walk from Jeanne D'Arc Sq and the old town, ca. 8 min walk from the cathedral.Room is spacious but decoration is simple. Staff are friendly and helpful though.
The hotel is proper, simple and had everything you need. Frendly personel helling a hand. There is even een lift! The breakfast was perfect and the room was small but clean efficiënt, good bed and shower.
Very well located in the cente rof the city, close to the cathedral and other places of interest. Very clean, pleasant and efficient staff. Overnight parking car is 3€ in a nearby public parking. Do not hesitate, it's simple but great
Whoever complained about French people must have had an unfortunate experience. Orleans was our first stop in France and it was a nice surprise. Passersby tried to help us find the hotel's designated parking - which was not easy. Even if we do not speak fluent French and locals did not speak good English, they were trying and they were very friendly. The hotel staff was pleasant too. Our room was clean, kind of barren, with a very small bathroom, no air conditioning and a window without a screen. No big surprise there as I am of European background and know what I can expect from an old hotel without luxury aspirations. The "not quite a surprise" however, not an enjoyable memory either came at night, when someone in an apartment right across the street, partied until after midnight. We were tired and could not really closed the window as the day's heat was lingering in the room. I guess other guests and neighbours felt the same way as I heard some yelling and cursing... without much result though. We all had to wait for the music to subside in order to get some sleep. The breakfast was good, classic continental pastries, jams and coffee. Well... yes, but all of it was French. Translation: made with real butter, real fruits, and very good. With a strong coffee - we quickly forgot the unpleasant night...
This is an easy place to stay close to the main square and to shops, and not far on foot to the old quarter. Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, rooms basic but clean with comfortable beds and bedding. Choose a room away from the breakfast room if you don't want to be woken early. A bit expensive for accommodation of this standard.
We arrived by bicycle, following the Loire à Vèlo. We were met with a warm smile and shown a locked corridor where we could safely put our bikes for the night. We had placed or reservation using Booking.com, selecting the cheapest room. It was worth the price ... so we asked if we could choose another room. It was Sunday and extra rooms from which we could choose were available. We selected one of their newly renovated rooms and were happy with it - lots of space and a large bed (although, like most hotels, the bathroom was a bit cramped). Breakfast the next morning was typical French continental with cheese and yogurt added - a nice plus.
The location was and breakfast was ok. The room however was terrible. The photos on the website are misleading. It was an old, outdated room with a dirty carpet and furniture. Not clean at all and it smelled in the room. It was extremely hot as well and no airco. I would never stay here again.
This hotel is clean affordable and convenient for walking round the town. Breakfast is served in front of reception which is a little quirky. The rooms do not have a/c so in hot weather chose a room that does not overlook the street.
Cool place to stay for a night in Orléans! No clim that is difficult when it's hot in summer... but you can ask for a fan to the desk for one! Parking for 3€ a day is close!! Cathedral is 400m, restaurants less! Very good location
