We stayed 3 nights while in Lloydminster as it was close to the arena plus we were looking to save some money. We found every staff member very friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious, clean and updated. For the price we paid, this exceeded our expectations. The bathroom did need TLC as there was water damage from the roof leaking from the past. No leaks when we were there though and it poured! One thing that we would highly recommend would be to find the least expensive online price and call the hotel directly to see if they would honour that fee and ask only for a room at the back of the building as there is a bar in the front. At night on weekends it was quite loud, but having a room at the back would have been much quieter. The parking lot is a cross the street but you have plenty of room and I felt perfectly safe at all times day or late night. Yes, there are a couple of trains that go by but I really didn't mind it at all. We were only charged 2 nights for a pet fees which was great. The continental breakfast is minimal in terms of items to choose from. We would stay there again because of the wonderful staff that went out of their way to help out.
First impressions, its in an odd part of town well off the main roads, the outside is a bit run down and in need of a facelift. The room had a definite musty funk to it, the newer tile floor looked nice, except but it wasn't clean, dusty and gritty. And the bathroom had a urine smell, and the linoleum was cut and torn. The very close train at 5am was a rude wake up call. There have been some renovations except, it's an old hotel and it needs either a gutting or a tear down and rebuild.
Room was the dirtiest I have ever stayed in. Stains on walls, bath mats was disgusting to the point I took my chances with the skating rink of a tub, urine stains on the seat and all down the front of toilet (like come on I would think the toilet would be the first thing cleaned) and was still there when after they cleaned the following day. If it wasn't the only hotel my job would pay for I would have left. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone unless your on a tight budget or are looking for a place to spend a few hours with your lady friend ;-)
The hotel was tucked away in an industrial part of the city - which was good considering I was there for an event that was literally 3 minutes away by car. The hotel staff were very friendly (Linda F. was a charming woman, as were the other workers) and they made us feel at home. Breakfast was very basic (toast, cereal, jams, milk, fruit, etc) and there was a problem with the hot water tank - I am giving them the benefit of the doubt but hope this is not something we see if we go back. My wife thought they were amazing because they provided lots and lots of pillows.
Stayed at the hotel for the August long weekend. Great value for the price. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel caters to a lot of construction/oil workers which is why they are switching out the carpet to hardwood and tile. Smart move. Much easier to clean. Even though he hotel is near the train tracks the train did not wake me up at all. The parking lot is across the street, and there is very limited traffic. There are about 4 spaces in front of the hotel if you're lucky enough to get one. The lady who worked the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The young guy who worked the weekend was on his cell phone and seemed disinterested in helping out. Overall a good experience and I would definitely stay there again.
This hotel is an older building that is undergoing renovations. It is located next to a rail yard in the centre of Lloydminster. It is a commercial/industrial neighbourhood, and probably is used by a lot of work crews. There is a bar with nightly music on the ground level, but away from the rooms. Our room was on the third floor, facing west, away from the street and railroad. It was very quiet all night, and the room was adequately furnished for our needs. It was very nice to have the fridge and microwave in the room. We found the mattress to be too hard for our taste, but otherwise we were comfortable. The room was a good price and for one night, we would stay here again
My sister and I stayed here for one night. Like other people who stayed here, this place needs a good cleaning. Cleaning would improve the overall appearance of the place. Other than the dirtiness, being so close to the train tracks and the smell of smoke in the hallways, this could be a great place to stay. The beds were fantastic, the rooms are nicely decorated and there are small fridges and microwaves in the room. It is really too bad that the owner does not hire staff that care about this place.
I don't normally like to complain , but this hotel was the dirtiest hotel I have ever seen .plus the train wakes you up every two hours .brutal !stay somewhere else especially if your there working.no place to eat or buy toiletries for miles .horrible !
