We stayed here for a few days and I was with my 5 year old son during this stay. Staff was very accomodating and friendly with him. A special shoutout to Jeremiah who was one of the waiters that took the time out to help the little guy with all his orders and with feeding the fish. All round it was a very special stay and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I enjoyed for the good services and location, almost in the Border with Zimbabwe, All those employees made my stay Wonderful : FD :Racheal , Prudence , Winston , Lister and the Bellman : Josefh; HK : everybody so nice also Thank you to the Manager Pamela she's awesome

The location in reference to the Victoria Falls is convenient. The rooms are so energizing and make you ready for the events of the morning after! The amenities are so adequate...I look forward to going back to the Hotel. It is my gateway to Victoria Falls.

This was my second stay at the Protea and I really enjoyed it. They have a wonderful breakfast each morning which is usually included in your cost. They have a mosquito problem which they addressed up front, and hopefully, they will figure out how to get rid of them. The staff was very helpful during my whole stay.

We had a great 4 night stay at the Protea in Livingstone. The rooms are very comfortable and the buffet breakfasts were fantastic with a large variety of choices. The desk staff was extremely helpful obtaining rides for us and contacting local vendors. The concierge staff also assisted us on several occasions with rides, suggestions, and local contacts. We had pre-booked our excursions before arriving in country with another vendor, but if we had known how good the concierge staff was beforehand, we would have looked into using their services for our excursions. The hotel is a not in town, but we were able to walk 1km to one great restaurant and took a short $5 taxi ride into town on multiple occasions with pickups on both ends prearranged by the hotel. So we felt the location was actually kind of nice and quiet.

We stayed here for two nights and absolutely loved the staff and service. I am a Marriott Titanium Elite and stay at Marriott affiliated hotels including the Ritz and although this hotel is not the Ritz the staff friendliness and overall hospitality is on par. The food quantities and quality are great. Very convenient to the Falls and definitely take a day trip to Botswana. Some people on this site have complained about the rooms. My take on that, you are in Africa not in downtown Tokyo. The rooms are sufficient and you don’t go to Africa to spend your time in your room anyhow... Would definitely recommend this hotel. We went with our three kids and they had no problem with us having five in the room. A bit tight but still fun...

I am very pleased with my experience at Protea Hotel. The staff was super helpful and friendly! Breakfast is included and the best part was that they helped us plan our stay by arranging tours around Livingstone, Vic Falls and Kasane. The tours were also excellent. The hotel is a great choice if you don't plan on backpacking or if you don't plan on spending several hundred dollars on an ultra luxurious hotel. This is great for us in-betweeners used to spending 100-200 USD a night. Totally recommend it!

This hotel was perfectly fine. It was a bit expensive for what we got- basic room, smallish pools, and a basic morning buffet. The rooms are fairly large and were well cooled in the hot afternoons (100 F+). I would recommend this for business travelers.

Location is perfect for Victoria Falls and game parks visits. I was totally impressed by the competence of front desk staff, very polite and friendly. Room are spacious though lack some identity and style considering the location of hotel near the Falls. Enjoyed buffet breakfast especially omelette and mouth watering pastries. Cleanliness could be improved especially on passages and patios.

Stayed here in April 2019 with a huge group. Lots of mosquitoes around in the area so carry a proper mosquito repellent. Staff is helpful and courteous. Breakfast is good. Food options are okay as per the menu. Property doesnt have room service which is a let down. Decent rooms with bathrooms. Victoria falls is about 10 minutes drive away.
