We stayed 4 nights there ( 2 adults and 2 young boys) during August 2019. Except the German lady who did her best to arrange accommodations for activities ( fishing, Victoria falls, Park visit, sunset cruise), the rest of the staff was not really helpful What really annoyed us is we almost missed our flight because one of the ladies forgot to book the taxi. The taxi driver told us in the car that they called him just 10 min after his arrival. We were so stressed because we had another flight to take. The food is ok, many shortages of electricity and in some cases you cannot order what you want because of the lack of electricity. Furthermore, you have to wait a lot when you order. The ecolo concept is good but the overall service is not great.

We loved our stay at this most unique lodge. Each chalet is much more than a room. Your key opens to your private courtyard with a sun bed and ample seating area. Separate doors open to a spacious room, cleverly designed with shelves & tables for your suitcases hidden from site behind the very comfortable bed. Rooms had many artistic touches from inlaid colored glass to metal forged doors. I cant even describe it all. It’s very peaceful. That might not sound like much until you’ve spent time nearer the falls and the constant droning overhead of nonstop helicopter & microlight flights. One night we rested on the courtyard sunbed and watched the amazing array of stars! It is worth mentioning, you can not walk to the shops or restaurants from here. This was not a problem for us as most activities you book include pick up & drop off or taxis are easy to get. We are bird watchers and one reason we picked Munga was to be able to enjoy the birds right on the grounds & surroundings. The service was excellent & all the staff very accommodating. We ate several meals there and were pleased each time. We loved our time here, it was quiet, relaxing, and just lovely, but maybe not the place for someone wanting TV and night life.

Trip Advisor review Firstly, can I start by saying that we selected Munga, as we wanted a slightly more ‘authentic’ African experience... one that put us a little closer to nature but with the benefit of mains electricity & hot water :D The site is located between Victoria Falls and Livingstone town, so making it very quiet, yet ideally placed to explore the local area. Getting around was not a problem i.e. most activities were just a short taxi ride away. We used the onsite restaurant quite a few times during our stay, and the food was always freshly prepared and excellent. My only negative was really the number of mosquitoes that buzzed around the dwelling at sunrise and sunset... but for us, it was more of a visual nuisance as we (a party of four) were only bitten twice in 7 days! and even then, with little or no reaction : ) The best part? For me at least, were the outdoor showers (honestly!), the tranquility and most importantly the staff... who were warm, friendly, helpful and engaging... Special mention to Precious, Debra & Morris (taxi driver of choice) Thank you all for making our holiday so memorable! Oh and yes, we did get to see elephants just outside the perimeter fencing! dangerous creatures (generally speaking), but beautiful in their own way : )

I loved my stay. It was within minutes of Livingstone but quiet, safe and very peaceful. The staff were all friendly and helpful and the cook made local dishes, as per my request, that were out of this world. The food was some of the best I've had. I also have to mention that the coffee, which is local, is the very best. I was so happy to learn I could buy some to bring back home. When it runs out I will want to go back!! The accommodations give you private space outdoors with both a covered lounge and uncovered lounge area. The indoor space is comfortable, cozy and lovely. I support the eco-approach of the place, especially as it is along an elephant corridor and national park. I also cannot say enough of the shuttle service that the hotel uses. My driver, Morris, was completely personable and considerate and was always punctual and was fully knowledgeable of where to take me for anything I requested or was interested in seeing. He really made my trip the wonderful adventure that it was. If I am so lucky to return to Livingstone I will stay here, again.

Great lodge, very good for the environment. So many amazing animals, ones like you would have never seen before! There is never nothing to do here. Even a nice environmentaly friendly pool, never to cold.

Excellent place for work and business. Quiet and calm for deep reflection. Warm hospitality and great place to enjoy nature. I would not hesitate to recommend to my friends and family. I promise to visit the place in the near future

My very short stay (2 nights, 1 full day) at the lovely Munga Eco-Lodge was pleasant from beginning to end. On the first night I was greeted by a friendly hostess and by the idealistic and enthusiastic owners. The day I stayed in Livingstone was planned in detail for me, and it all worked out according to the plan. I warmly recommend the place to anyone who likes a quiet village-feel in beautiful rooms in natural surroundings.

We loved this place immediately we arrived. The lodges are so well laid out, everything was very clean, the size of the bed was enormous and the outside shower was fabulous. But more than that, the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They helped us book our outings and gave us good advice re taxis and a visit to Zimbabwe. It is a peaceful place where we got to see elephants wandering past the outside fence just a few metres away from us. What a privilege. Thank you Maliwa and Agnes and all the staff for a wonderful few days.

If you are looking to a peaceful and authentic stay, Livingstone city (Zambia) and Munga Eco-Lodge are definitely the best choice you could do. I should even say, it is a MUST. Moved by the friendliness of the staff, so kind and accommodating. Thanks to so smily Maliwa and Agnès for their great suggestions as far as booking activities. Thanks to the lady cook (sorry forgot her name) for fixing our home made meals as per veggies from the garden. Thanks also to no internet connection in rooms (but available at bar and restaurant) for a full deconnection of our crazy world...So as said if you are looking for a very quiete and restful place, here is the place you must stay.
