Worst hotel we have ever stayed in. Nothing on the website is correct! Read the negative reviews first. They tell the true story. Very suspicious about the origins of the positive reviews!! Located above a seedy pub and betting shop. Right alongside a very busy 3 lane dual carriageway in a run down part of Liverpool.
Rang this hotel last minuet to get a room for me and my friend. Kevin was fantastic and couldn't do any more for us. His staff were also equally as excellent, always polite and very welcoming. The hotel was lovely and I felt very comfortable, the breakfast in the morning was very good too. Definitely recommend this hotel.
Arrived to be greeted by friendly staff and a free upgrade on our room which was nice...rooms clean and tidy with comfy beds and plenty tea/coffee etc. Good location and about £4 for a taxi into town. Kevin and all the staff really showed us what good Liverpool hospitality is all about, anything we needed was easily accommodated making our stay memorable for all the right reasons. Thanks guys, appreciate everything :)
I stayed here with 12 other people for a Stag Party for two nights towards the end of July. Rooms were adequate with all the facilities we needed, comfy beds and decent bathroom. Staff were incredibly warm and friendly and got into the spirit of the Stag Party with us all, really making our experience extra special. Full credit to all the staff here. Lovely place.
5 of us stayed on the 29th july. Room large, very clean + tidy. Great location. 5mins by taxi into town. bus stop outside. Management and staff brilliant. Good prices for the rooms and a great breakfast in the price! Would highly recommend this hotel to anybody.
Me and a friend stayed here as we were having a night out in Liverpool. The hotel is very central, roughly only £4 in a taxi to where all the main pubs and clubs are which is great! Rooms are very clean and spacious but most importantly the staff are fantastic.. always making sure we where having a nice stay, very friendly and Kevin the owner couldn't do enough for us. Absolutely delightful little pub and the breakfast was lovely. Overall a fantastic stay I would definitely recommend!! Thank you Kevin
I stayed at this hotel with my sister and my two nieces. The staff are all so friendly and helpful and accommodating! We had a large room with en-suite and it was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was also really good plenty of choice with cereals hot drinks etc and the cooked breakfasts were also really tasty. The hotel was a short taxi ride away from the main center which wasn't a problem we easily got back and forth. The staff phoned our taxis for us and they arrived in minutes. Our car was parked in the side street next to the hotel and we had absolutely no problems. I would stay again! Thankyou throstles nest! :)
I needed a hotel for one night that was convenient for Everton (the district - not the football club) and Throstles Nest fitted that. I'm familiar with Liverpool and was aware of the hotel and taken by the name. The owner Kevin was great - texting to double check when I would arrive and giving me advice about being sure not to be taken the long way round by the taxi from the station. I was in a twin room, ensuite. Comfortable, loads of tea, coffee etc. Bathroom a bit of a squeeze but I was only there one night. Spotlessly clean, Kevin very friendly and helpful. It's a little way out of town, though there are buses going past the door. And if you are interested in the history of Liverpool Kevin will help you out. Decent breakfast except for the scrambled eggs, it happens so often in so many hotels but scrambled egg turns into dry 'balls' that don't stick together.
Me and my friend came down from Scotland for the Haydock race meeting. Staff where very friendly and helpful. Room was decent size , breakfast was brilliant ,plenty of healthy options also. Would recommend this place. Thanks Craig and Davy
What a lie this hotel was. It's a dive. On booking.com the rooms look big and so do the bathrooms. 155 pound for 3 people and struggled to move in it. The bathroom is a box and they expected 3 big lads to move around the smallest room and the bar is a trampy. What a waste of money and not a chance will I be there again.
