5 of us stayed here in December. And not for the 1st time. Location for town and football grounds great. Staff are brilliant! Rooms and breakfast smashing!! Kevin the manager is a star! Will be back soon.
Hi folks I’d just like to say we stayed at the nest early January 4 of us went up for the football and We shared a family room 2 of us drew the short straw and shared the double bed but what a lovely hotel a bit like a time warp back to the eighties but with character and great people working there the owner we met on arrival the barman who kindly let us down a late pint and a decent breakfast what more could you ask for good accommodation decent breakfast at a very reasonable price 👍 thank you
I stayed here for a short 3 night break to visit a comedy club and some leisure time. Great base with good breakfast and great hospitality. Located close to City centre and no problem getting taxis...and always got a friendly welcome back after being out. Would stay again.
I stayed at this hotel with my mates this past weekend (13th&14th October) and I have to say it’s one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in. Kevin the owner, and his staff were brilliant with us. We stayed in the family suite at the back of the hotel. The room was lovely and clean, the beds really comfortable. If I had to pick a bad point it would be the water didn’t drain very well in the bath but that’s neither here nor there. I’ve recommended to friends and family to stay there, and I’ll definitely be going back in the future.
We all really enjoyed our stay at Throstles Nest. The staff were all very kind. Breakfast was really good. The owner was super helpful and deserves a special mention. Leaflets and maps highlighting places to go and recommendations. He even annotated our map to show us how to get where we planned to go. Would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone!
Stayed there during the football season. The hotel is good, lovely, friendly people and good spread of breakfast. The owner of the hotel, Kevin is really wonderful as he even help us to get a last minute ticket to the game. He even take some time telling us how to get around Liverpool. There's a pub downstairs but the noise level is really good as we are able to have good sleeps each night. We are very happy with the overall hospitality and warmth service provided by Kevin and his team.
Stayed again at Throstles for the football, As usual everything was spot on, clean room, bed linen spotlessly clean and fresh, plenty of towels, brilliant breakfast on a morning everything you could wish for to set you up for the day. Must say a big thank you to Kevin, Terry and all the staff for making us most welcome once again. WE WILL BE BACK
This hotel is mostly about the really nice people who run it, especially the owner and the bar staff in the pub. It was very quiet and we had a great nights sleep. The owner spent time telling us where everything was in Liverpool, you could tell he really cared. Nice breakfast and a nice stay overall.
The people who run this hotel are wonderful folks. Breakfast is good and the hotel is as - advertised. The location is convenient for football fans but far from downtown, but that's what maps are for. One big issue with our stay - only two nights - was the staffing. Someone didn't turn up and we quite literally had challenges getting into and out of the hotel every time we entered or exited, including check-in when no one was there for hours. We left our bags and a note. Later, we had to scour the place to find someone to in-lock the front door (it has a maglock) and let us out. Staff from the pub next door and over to help but were not always familiar with the situation. Nonetheless we liked the place and the people a lot.
I came to Liverpool to watch my first English Premier League game ever! Throstles Nest is just 20-30 min walking distance from Anfield Stadium and similar distance away from city centre. So you can simple go either ways just on foot! I myself is a liverpool fan and Kevin, the manager, is a big big fan too! He had a lots of stories to share with you on Liverpool football club!
