Stayed in the hotel for one night as I was going to watch the football the following day. The hotel is in a great location, walking distance to the main high street for all shops including the Liverpool one shopping area. Also great location if you want to go to Albert Docks again within walking distance. The bar area of the hotel was really nice and comfortable with a good selection of alcoholic drinks. Prices comparable to other bars in the area. I didn’t try the restaurant or other gym, pool facilities so can’t comment. The rooms are spacious and modern and the shower area was exceptional. I like the separate toilet area. The room has every facility you would need. My biggest issue and why I can’t give higher than a 3 star was how hot the room was, I had to have the window open, and fan blowing cool air but it was so hot. I found the bed uncomfortable two giant pillows that were not comfy at all. The final issue was the parking, I appreciate the fact the location means you have to use the local multi-storey car park. However £11.00 for 5pm to 11am the next day is not cheap and simply acts as a hidden charge. This isn’t a cheap hotel for what you get, especially weekends for match days. I recommend shopping around but if you do end up here you will have an ok stay.
We stopped here for one night whilst visiting. We booked an 'executive' room as it was only an extra £20. This lived up to expectations. Great shower and massive comfy bed. Location is great as its right in the centre. We stayed on floor 10 and this was very quiet.
This hotel is less than ten minutes walk form Liverpool Central train station. We had a twin room on the 10th floor. Beds were large and comfortable: firm, but not too firm. There is an excellent shower with hand - held shower head as well as a 'soak' head. The toilet is separate. Tea and coffee making facilities are available, along with a small fridge, safe, iron, hair drier, colour TV, and usb charger. In other words, very well-equipped. Breakfast was included in the price that we paid, and comprised both continental and traditional English options: a good selection and good quality. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a swimming pool and gym in the basement, but we didn't try these. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and fast food outlets within a couple of minutes walk. There is a large branch of Tesco and Home Bargains virtually next door. There are plenty of buses and taxis, though traffic can get very busy along Hanover Street. All in all, a very good hotel in a good location with helpful staff.
We spend 4 days in Liverpool and stay at Novotel hotel. I like everything (not carpet at floors), the Food, rooms, cleaning, service and of course the hotel is near everything. Finally Liverpool won their mach:-)
We stayed here for 3 nights, great location, good breakfast and food at the bar. Staff very friendly and room clean and tidy. The only thing that let it down was the reception area that did not have a desk just some high tables. This made the area and first impression look very untidy with wires and extension plugs everywhere. Car park next door very good but don't forget to ask for your car park discount at reception as you get 30% off.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed in novotel in Liverpool and it's probably now my favourite hotel in Liverpool. The location of the hotel is first class and everything else in the hotel follows suit. Rooms are spacious and well equipped. Staff couldn't be nicer on check in. Rooms quiet despite being in city centre. Stayed with 5 year old and staff were very attentive. Breakfast is amazing
Stayed at this hotel for a weekend. Great location with restaurants and nightlife nearby. We were on the 8th floor and it was very quiet, good bed and shower and a free use of the safe. Also acess to a decent pool and gym.
Me , my fiancée and our two daughters stayed here in February 2018. Very easy and fast check in. We was abit unsure beforehand because we couldn't believe how cheap it was , but this hotel is up to an excellent standard and a great location and amazing value for money . The hotel is walking distance to everything you need . The hotel resteraunt is a little expensive for adults however they do make up for it with a good kids meal deal . Hotel pool and gym is a good extra , we had a nice swim before bed and lockers and towels are provided at no extra charge . The breakfast was very good and they had food to suit everyone ( even the people who can moan about anything on trip advisor ) Would definatly stay here again and would recommend to anyone staying in Liverpool .
We arrived at the hotel and had bad experience with the checkin at first. When we got to our room, it was dirty and several lightbulbs dint work. Neither did the minibar and the safe was locked. We went down to the reception and they changed our room. In our new room the lightbulbs was broken aswell. The minibar worked here but the safe was still locked and everything looked very bad and old. We cancelled our stay and got a fantastic room at the hilton for the same price. NOT WORTH IT.
This is still my hotel of choice for stays in Liverpool. It’s central, within 50metres there are 10 restaurants and 2 shops, and car parking ( important for someone with mobility impairment ). Rooms are a good size, the upgrade executive rooms even more so. There is room service and a bar and restaurant. Niggles remain. It’s mainly detailing. Still no chair for. Disabled person to sit at in Reception. The disabled access front door isn’t satisfactory. To get in you have to push a bell, and wait for a staff member. That’s demeaning, and if there is only one receptionist you wait, and wait. Exiting is a self push button, but unfortunately to reach it you have to get round the parked luggage trolleys. They’re an obstruction. Restaurant and room service don’t answer their phones and service in the bar is slow. They’ve introduced new “folding” pillows. Square. Needs a square pillowcase. House keeping are using oblong ones 50% of the time. Odd. I’ve stayed 4 times since my last review. Each time there has been one major issue. The room with no heating ( mid January ), the arrival of 50 Americans at check in with insufficient staff, meaning I couldn’t get in through the disabled door, they wouldn’t part to let me through, and most seriously bags and suitcases blocking aisles that should have been left free for emergency passage. Breach of health and safety and fire regulations. If they could sort out these issues the place would warrant 5 stars. It’s down to Staff management and training. It’s grown slack.
