Stayed over Novotel Liverpool Friday night and had the impression that this would be amazing due to previous experiences. Only to find I would not have a nights sleep. Had neighbours shouting/Arguing in the corridor at 3am thought I'd give reception a call after 15minutes of this nonsene but couldn't get an answer for 3minutes. Eventually hung up without even getting thru to someone An was not willing to go down stairs for this as I was in bed and on the 9th floor! After all of this I then in the morning woke up with spots on my ankle it looked like I had been bitten! Went down stairs to check out only to find one receptionist in such a big hotel working with about 5 people in front. Did not want to spend a minute longer in this place so I left without even speaking to someone to complain. This is Shambles coming from such a well known hotel.

Came to stay here with husband and baby son whilst husband attended a conference in the city centre. Pretty much what you would expect from a city centre chain-room was soulless and dull but at least very clean. The bathroom set up was weird with the loo being separate-frustrating when you have a baby sleeping and you are opening and shutting 2 sets of doors to use the loo and wash your hands. Bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and as hard as the floor and the pillows and duvet were thin and had scratchy linen. Biggest frustration was that we checked the room had a fridge as we needed to store our baby's milk-this turned out to be a warm fridge only. Must say the staff were absolutely amazing and arranged to keep our baby's milk downstairs as well as offering other rooms (fridges were the same in all). Would be better if it was clear that fridges are not really cold and suitable for proper food storage as this is essential for parents when travelling. Lovely staff though-a credit to the establishment.

The Novotel is very centrally located for most of the main city sights, shops and restaurants. Five minute walk from Central Station. Clean and modern building with a great choice for breakfast. My friend and I were lucky enough to have a quiet room away from the main road.

Stayed 2 nights and had a lovely room on 11th floor with great views of Liverpool. Had breakfast on both mornings but it was very busy on the Saturday morning so there was a bit of a wait for a table. Lovely bar looking out onto hanover street. Efficient check in and check out.

Attended conference and stayed at the hotel . Great location . Good conference facilities and fabulous food . Would stay there again in a heartbeat . Will try and get back before Xmas for Christmas shopping , night life . Thankyou

The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Even got a breakfast after being 30mins late. My partner had an injured hip and was using a mobility scooter, staff very helpful in opening doors etc. Nothing was too much trouble.

As you arrive the Q car park entrance is just down the side of the hotel. You need to ask reception for a discount ticket, and then put this ticket in first before your normal ticket to receive the discount when you depart. This meant we only paid £11 for 24hrs. The location is perfect as you’re in one of the main streets in Liverpool so everything is in a short walking distance, especially Seel Street for the drinkers amongst you. Check in was quick and easy. Security is at the forefront in this hotel as the lifts are operated by swiping your key card, also access to your corridor and room. At night the revolving door is closed and a security guard will let you in the door next to it. First impressions of the room were very modern, clean, tidy and large enough. There was a flat TV screen, however if you wanted Sky Sports for football you have to go downstairs to the bar to watch it on the large screen. A free coded safe for your valuables, along with the usual hairdryer, iron and ironing board, fridge, kettle were all available. The toilet and the modern bathroom, with choice of normal or drench shower, were separate. We were on the first floor facing Hanover Street so were expecting a noisy night however with the blackout curtains and the comfiest large beds ever we could have easily slept until check out time. For us the breakfast was too expensive with cheaper options all around the hotel so we can’t comment on the food. The only other helpful comments I would make are there is a baggage storage room at reception. There is free Wi-Fi as long as you input your email address and we also witnessed a couple with a dog so it is obviously dog friendly. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely return in the future.

We stayed here as a family for a birthday celebration. Our rooms were of a nice size and were mostly clean and tidy. We did request new bed lining in one room which was dealt with apologetically and efficiently. The pool and steam room were enjoyable and mostly quiet however the pool area lacks changing facilities which meant that despite it being quiet there were ques to change and shower. The breakfast was good with a reasonable choice and a relaxed atmosphere where we were not rushed. Unfortunately during our stay we were met by long delays at Reception waiting to check in, collect swimming keys, sorting general enquiries and to check out. Overall we had an enjoyable stay and the hotel was very family friendly and central to the city which is just what we were looking for.

Met by pleasant staff at reception. Room decent size, clean and tidy. Had some bar meals/snacks in the afternoon, tasty and reasonably priced. The swimming pool and steam room were great to use in the morning, again very clean and tidy. Did not have breakfast. But overall a very e notable stay.

Arrived super-late to a very friendly and up-beat welcome. As my stay progressed I found all the reception staff to be friendly, polite and very helpful. I booked an Executive room and asked for a quiet room. I got a reasonably quiet room. The double glazing it pretty poor at noise control so screaming drunks amd traffic can be heard, but that is not entirely the fault of the hotel! The room however was spacious and clean. I love the mobile desk and tv so I could create an office or a dinner table while watching tv. Good facilities - nice shower and decent toiletries. The food is reasonably priced and pretty decent for the money, although the chips were wildy over-salted. A small miner came to buy the rights to the bowl after I had cleared the overburden of fries. The gym is good. Small but very clean with all the equipment in good working order. The pool is excellent - clean, clear water and well kept. A big bonus is it is in a sensible shape so one can actually swim in straight lines. The changing facilities are good too - clean, spacious, plenty of towels, free coded lockers (no scrabbling for change!). Really good performance all round and although I paid a bit more than usual for a hotel room it was genuinely worth it. Absolutely happy to return here. Well done Novohotel - best hotel stay I have had this year by far!
