We had a small but comfortable room. Good shower. Comfortable beds with duvets. Prefer softer toilet paper! No fridge or bottled water. No view over The Mersey as the double glazing was permanently misted up.

Enjoyed our stay at hotel. Staff very friendly. Eating experience mixed. Only ate twice in the hotel and did not use bar. Sunday meal was excellent, but on the Tuesday evening service was extremely slow. Food ok. Had one of the rooms on the higher floors with excellent views.

First time we stayed a the Mercury, staff very friendly and our room was clean and all ok, it was a shirt trip to Liverpool but a very nice hotel to stay in. We didn't eat at the hotel, only popped to the bar one evening

We arrived early to a nice welcome, we left our bags and went for a walk around.having not been to Liverpool before we had no idea where we were. I had asked for a view of the Mersey if possible from our room. Anyway we found our bearings then went back to the hotel and was given our key and we wasn’t disappointed the view was brilliant of both the Mersey and the liver building, the room was large with everything you could want lovely bathroom large flat tv comfortable bed bath robe slippers and a nice card wishing us happy anniversary. We also got breakfast included which was buffet or a lighter option. This is a lovely hotel with friendly staff and very welcoming, we will definitely use again and recommend.

Average is a very good summary.Reception staff was OK except one serving in the afternoon of Nov 3rd who probably needs to reflect on what she wants to do in future but certainly not welcoming customers.

Stopped here for a night out round Liverpool, and Liverpool the city did not disappoint but the hotel was average at best. Between hotel and superbreak they messed up our booking and lost our dinner reservation but the hotel helped us out more than superbreak in getting us back on track. We arrived at the hotel to find out we had parked in the wrong car park and the woman behind reception didn't really seem to care. So we paid £6 more than what we would have done. We then were given our room keys and went straight upstairs to drop bags. First impression the room was clean, After opening the curtains you could barley see out of the window they were so mucky, and the lighting in the room isn't great as there is no ceiling light. We went down to the hotel restaurant as we had already paid for this as it was included in the deal we got. However they were so slow. We had to ask 2 times for a round of drinks and 3 times for the bill, However the food was really good, We eventually left the table and i paid at the bar on the way our, We did want desert as it was part of our package but because it took best part of 2 hours for 6 meals we had to skip it which they kindly took off our bill. Under no circumstances should you ever have to ask more than twice for the bill if no one would have been at the till i would have been tempted to walk out. The sleep we had was fine with little noise from neighbors. The breakfast in the morning was OK. and was a bit of a cattle market but we understood it was a big hotel to feed. We do think that you need hot chocolate on your hot drinks selection though. In all if it was cheap enough and it was only for one night we would stay again but with no dinner, However i wouldn't be running back to book anytime soon.

Stayed for two nights cosy but small bathrooms. Large beds but quite hard. Room on 4 floor had noise from main road. But would want a quieter room Would I stay again yes if in area. Near by local restaurants only a short walk

This hotel is located near to the Liver building, but not quite as central as we would have liked. However, our options were very limited due to a Champions League match at Anfield. We had great views of the Mersey from our rooms on the 10th & 11th floor, although it was disappointing that not all of the rooms were available upon our arrival at just before 2pm on a Wednesday, despite checking in online. The bed was comfortable; however, the room was very warm and there was a lack of storage for clothes. Furthermore, the bathroom was much smaller than other hotels I have stayed in. The breakfast was very good with a wide range of food available, although it was spread out around the restaurant, which meant one could easily miss some of the items on offer.

Fantastic nights stay.we got upgraded to one of the suites on the 12th floor.Fantastic surprise.Wonderful suite spotless.Staff very nice and helpful 10 out of 10.would definitely recommend.close to bars and shops..x

Have to say the views from the rooms are stunning. The imposing liver building to one side and the river Mersey to the other side. The bedroom was clean and the bed was comfortable, we also had a large flat screen TV. The bathroom was a decent size and there was ample tea and coffee available. However there were a couple of minor faults. Baring in mind this was a superior room....there was a bedside lamp missing, the toilet roll holder was coming loose from the wall and the tissue dispenser was just jammed up so when you pulled them out they just ripped. Picky issues but having stayed in the aloft for a lot less money on our last visit im tempted to go back there rather than here
