Stayed here for one night. Greeted by very friendly staff. We had two rooms, one ensuite which suited my parents on the first floor, I had a room on the top floor with shared bathroom. All rooms very clean. Bedrooms have flat screen TV, Wi-Fi, hairdryer, iron and kettle. Great selection for breakfast. Hotel very central close to city centre. Car park down the road £4.50 for 24 hours (free for disabled on 5th floor). Would definitely stay here again very reasonably priced.
Really great centre hotel, within walking distance of most of the major tourist attractions. My wife and I had a clean, spacious room with bathroom and also toward the rear of the hotel, so very quiet, my daughter on the next floor which was also spacious and she was happy with her room too. Breakfast, a wide choice and vegetarians catered for and I'm sure that they are only too willing to cater for other peoples requirements. Good value for money for a central hotel. Only a fleeting visit but we would certainly stay here again.
The hotel is not too far from the train station (Lime Street), although be prepared for the uphill walk! The service was good. The room had everything I needed, although the decor was quite busy! Breakfast in the morning was tasty and done nicely.
I booked this hotel as it was very close to the University and I was visiting my daughter. My room had a small ensuite bathroom and a double bed. Although it was small, there was everything you needed including tea/coffee making facilities, a hair dryer and an iron. The owner was really nice and let me leave my bags in the room as I arrived early. She also was kind in letting my daughter come over for breakfast! All the staff were really friendly. Parking on the street outside was free from 6pm-8am and there is a multi-storey car park just down the road for £1 an hour or £4 for over three hours. It was locked from 8pm so I I parked free on the street overnight. The hotel was less than 10 minutes walk to the University and a short walk into town. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe and welcoming in this hotel and will definitely use it again!
Basic hotel conveniently located for Liverpool City Centre. Room I stayed in was a Double but was very small for 2. However it was very clean and very good for the price I paid. Wifi was good, breakfast was good. Only gripes were the room was freezing when I arrived and the owner seemed a little put out when I asked him to put on the heating. Also beware of the recommended car park down the road. It is £4 per day but this has to be renewed at 7am in the morning each day or you will receive a parking ticket (as I did!).This is not stated anywhere. Overall a decent hotel for the price you pay.
Chose this place based on location (near university) and price (unavoidably visiting Liverpool same day as a football match). 5 minutes and easily located from Liverpool Lime Street, we were welcomed and shown our room. This is a budget hotel without your own bathroom and that must be taken into account. However, room has a sink in it and is very clean with comfortable beds. Once we adjusted the radiator we found a heat we were comfortable with. WiFi is a little temperamental and we found ourselves having to log back in a couple of times during our stay. There were a lot of football fans whilst we stayed which led to some noise during the night (but not too bad) and next time I would request a room to the back as road noise was audible. Breakfast was delicious with choice of full cooked or continental with variety and flexibility. However, what I suspect brings people back to this hotel is the fine Liverpudlian hospitality. The staff are friendly and efficient - helping us with an unexpected dilemma was no issue to them at all and they seemed flexible to all our needs. This is something the smaller, family run establishments do best - perhaps not as corporate as hotel chains but something I have come to appreciate much more when visiting cities of England especially.
Room was very clean, staff were helpful. The hotel is very near the centre so great for site seeing and shopping but also quiet. There isnt really free parking but there is a multi storey car park just two doors down the street where parking is only £4 for 24 hours
A nice stay in a nice hotel. Clean room with plenty of space in it. Tasty breakfast and helpful staff. Two things that influenced total score: Not working fridge, Windows not hermetic enough (a bit cold during the night, especially in November) - it wasn't bothering me as I like cold bedroom and you are getting additional blankets and quilt. Anyway I can recommend this hotel definitely.
It's a 5 minute walk from Liverpool lime street station ,staff very pleasant breakfast hot and adequate the room needed a little tlc although it was clean it was on the small size you couldn't walk past the end of the bed without turning sideways the ensuite was very tiny and we couldn't get cold water from the taps ,it's basic but ok for one night ,the flooring is laminate so you could hear other guests in the room above you
+ location by the main street (close to metropolitan cathedral, victoria gallery & museum, etc.) + cosy room (big bed, tv, coffee & tea corner) + comfortable bed + heating working well + cleaning every day - no fridge in the room - poor breakfast choice (no fresh vegtables, cheese & ham only from plastic packages)
