I had a very good stay in the Aachen. I came by at noon to drop off my bag and was so happy when they actually let me check into my room at no extra charge. I was so thankful for this after a long haul flight. I stayed in the studio which was very spacious and could easily accommodate 2-3 people. The room was comfortable and clean, and aside from the wind outside at night and a bit of sound from the hallway it was quiet. Breakfast was tasty with a lot to choose from (including good vegetarian options) and good, quick service. Wifi was also good.
It was the first time that we had to stay there for 3 nights. Very charming staff, cosy stay. I really enjoyed the tea time and we had great breakfast there! Would recommend it to everyone for sure!!!!
We chose the Aachen Hotel for two things, value for money and location (we were watching a play at the Philharmonic). Our ensuite room was on the 2nd floor and was lovely (we booked a double/twin and it had a double and a single in it). We had a small kitchen area in there too but for one night's stay wasn't used. Because of the location, the traffic noise can be heard most of the time but if you need to close the windows there is a fan in the room if it is too warm. The staff were lovely, welcoming us on check-in with pastries :-) ,advised us of where to park the car for the night and gave us a delicious breakfast the following morning. Just perfect and would definitely stay again
From the outside I thought , oh dear what have I let myself in for but it suited my purpose totally for one night. Stairs are rather steep and no lift. Staff is friendly. The WiFi worked and the shower was very nice.
What a gem. This is a no frills but clean, tidy and cosy hotel in the centre, minutes walk away from the shops and bars. There are a few winding stairs so not good for elderly perhaps but otherwise a fantastic stay at an excellent price (parking £4 a day just up road). Many thanks to the kind mature lady who rushed our breakfast through as my daughter had to get to a graduation. So friendly and helpful here. Someone on duty at all times. Cant speak more highly (first time I have bothered to do a review !
This is a great little place to stay, especially if you're visiting the Cathedrals, Philharmonic, Everyman or other venues in the Georgian Quarter. Small, cosy, friendly, great breakfast, comfy room. Lacks the frills and elegance of some of the other Liverpool hotels but we very much enjoyed our 2 night stay there.
Stayed 2 nights here, for only £74. Room was very substantial, double bed (very comfy) & a single bed, great sized bathroom. Shower was lovely. Tea & coffee facilities in room & TV. Breakfast choice was great - cooked or continental, with personal waitress service. Breakfast was to your personal choice. Helpful staff. Able to leave luggage at hotel until needed after checkout. Definitely recommend staying here.
Stayed one night here, very understanding and accommodating , lovely room . Only thing wrong was shared bathroom , excellent clean room, recommend to anyone. Breakfast was lovely. Friendly staff. Def stay here again
Breakfast rubbish, staff very good .lot of winding stairs.no good if trouble with chest or disabled.not for me.long walk up from railway station.had to have yaxi most of the time.room very good ,spotless
I paid £40 for a single occupation room. (Full English breakfast included) Small family run hotel (or large B&B) The room was small and the facilities are not modern, however it was clean, and comfortable. Free Wifi (good signal) Shower & WC Iron, TV, and enough lighting/sockets. Night was quiet despite central location. Very well located near to the university and both cathedrals. 5 minute walk from lime street station. The staff was very friendly. Overall one of the best value for money for the incredible location and quality of service. Will visit again!
