Comfortable apartment in a retirement complex

This is in a retirement complex within walking distance (1km) of the centre of Lisieux. The room we had was good, with a kitchen with Hob and microwave and a dining area. At the weekend the access to the building is by key code and the reception is not manned all the time. Very quiet. The set up seems quite surreal, but actually works well.

I did the booking a Friday for the coming Sunday/Monday and on Saturday I saw that I have to call for arranging the key, I try to call I don't know how many times, so I took the change to go anyway. Late Sunday evening we were outside the hotel and nobody were there so we have to find another hotel close by, we found one. I didn't pay with credit card when I booked but still the money have been taken and I had to pay for the other hotel as well. Maybe it could be an idea to inform more about arranging with the key and specially the weekend.

Accueil agréable..logement dans un autre bâtiment. Parking possible,quartier calme . Ce qui nous a surpris, c est de payer la taxe de séjour pour 2 pour 1 nuit 7,28€ au lieu de 3,60€ ..! Nous avons demandé une explication après avoir réglé, nous avons l’impression que la Résidence fait régler aux hôtes des taxes non expliquées sur notre facture hotel.com .
