great hotel, friendly staff, I recommend it to any traveler. room was very clean, Service at front desk was great, too bad restaurant was under renovations but the bar was good as well, all in all great stay, I will be back again.
I spent 3 nights at the Hotel during the Super Bock Super Rock Festival, which was happening just a about building-bloc away. The hotel has an excellent service, but breakfast is quite average. (but the restaurant is beeing renovated, so i guess that might be the main reason)
Having booked 2 contiguos rooms, at arrival we were told we have been "upgraded"...and the result was that our daughter was given a room in a different floor... We had received a confirmation e-mail a couple of days before, that mentioned the Hipopotamus restaurant for dinner...it was closed! The general ambiance was not the best, lots of noisy guests, some weirdness around... Breakfast was so-so...!
Good services even in the middle of the night when wi-fi didn't work. Rooms at the downer floor are a little bit noisy due to the road. Good emplacement near Metro station : 3 stops from the airport. Breakfast buffet very diversified.
Outstanding service and very friendly staff. Room was beautiful, great size, very clean and quiet. Love the location since there was a big mall, excellent restaurant and metro station nearby. It is located very close to the airport. The breakfast selection and variety of food was outstanding. Recommend this hotel for any individual or family. Love my stay.
We were in Lisbon to watch Aerosmith at the MEO Arena so picked the Hotel as it was on the doorstep. Lovely room, we paid to upgrade to a sea view, which was lovely. Don't think the Tea and Coffee in the room are free as they are not. Great Bed, pillows, shower etc. Wonderful Breakfast, great selection of cereals, Breads, Cheese, Meats, eggs, sausage, bacon, juices etc. The Champagne is free with breakfast as my wife was pleased to discover. Reasonable prices in the bar. very hardworking staff. The Hotel was undergoing renovation but to be fair the disturbance was kept to a minimum. The local Tour Buses drop off outside the Hotel which is a great way to get to Old Town.
We stayed here for 2 nights. On arrival we were told we had been upgraded to a sea view room on 14th floor. Check in was pleasant and efficient. The room was okay - 2 single beds instead of requested double, it had a nice view even if a good distance from the sea, the beds were comfortable and there were extra pillows in the wardrobe. The bathroom was dated with painted side panel and surround of sink, both stained and peeling. We ordered room service after returning from a concert late the first night. The club sandwich at €14 was awful - hard, cold and very small, the ham & cheese toastie was good (the night time menu is very limited). We sought to speak to someone at breakfast but all staff were busy so reported to reception later that day. I was met with a surprised look but was told it would be dealt with. Breakfast was mediocre. Hot food was lukewarm and the most ridiculous toaster I have ever come across. We returned to our room at tea time to find our room had not been serviced. Check out was eventful. To find that you have been charged for 3 club sandwiches instead of the one you had complained about was unbelievable and as much as I was told that the general manager would be informed, for €350 for two nights, I will seek somewhere else when next in what is a fantastic city. The one good thing - terrific location to Meo Arena. Half hour by train/metro to city centre.
This hotel is located right next to the Lisbon Oriente train station and a short distance to the Airport. It is also right next to a modern shopping center and walking distance to the waterfront and riverside restaurants. The hotel was under construction during our stay but we were not affected by the construction. All public rooms, restaurants, bars and the pool and spa area were open and working well. Service at the front desk as well as in the restaurant was very good. Breakfast was quite good with a large variety of fresh and tasty foods and drinks. Our room was spacious for two and looked brand new with beautiful clean bathroom with larger modern shower with good water pressure. We had a partial water view due to the high-rise buildings close by.
My father and I had booked a stay from Tuesday 20th - Friday 23rd June and chose this hotel based on reviews on Booking.com The location was brilliant for the airport, three stops away which was a pleasant surprise as we arrived around 20.00 so wanted some food and sleep. The room was lovely, clean and as per the photos. The main issue was that the air conditioning was not working. Portugal had suffered forest fires 200km away due to the heat and was 37* the weekend before we travelled so you can imagine the heat we were suffering. I called reception who told me they were sorry but the building work was affecting the air conditioning. I asked if this was a temporary issue or whether they could fix it to hear that it was going to be the case for the duration of the night. I asked for a fan, they didn't one but the receptionist was going to ask if there was anything that could be done - I did not receive a response. I lay there sweating all night with near to zero sleep. Did I want to leave the hotel, yes. So why didn't I? Because I had unpacked both my belongings and that of my 70 year old father whom I try to ease travel for as much as possible so the inconvenience of moving outweighed the short time we had to enjoy the city. We suffered this for three nights only able to open the window slightly due to being on the 10th floor. I even resorted to taking chilled cans out of the fridge and putting them under my pillow! We were offered a discount at checkout but this was more of an insult than courtesy given such poor nights' sleeping. I will be writing an email directly to the hotel following this in order to try and recoup this cost. I understand why a hotel would not publicise this on Booking.com but knowingly mis-selling customers I feel is irresponsible and ultimately shameful. Given functioning air conditioning or a solution be it a fan from the shop across the road, this impact on our experience could have been mitigated. Lisbon was beautiful and with a better sleep, more energy we could have really maximised the experience!
I was very disappointed by the fact that i had to pay for any extra such as water, or a decent internet connection in the room.. Somebody entered into my room while I was sleeping at midnight. i think it was a staff member, of the hotel personnel. it was a man and he left as soon as he realised his mistake. That was a very displeasant experience in terms of security.
