We had an excellent stay at the Le Consulant hotel. The location was perfect for touring the city - everything was close and easy walking distance. The hotel has great history and the management has done a great job blending modern amenities with the historical charm. For those visiting - keep in mind that the historical Tram 28 stops right in front of the hotel.

Really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were lovely, and very helpful when I needed anything. My room was very classical, and actually more of a suite. I felt very pampered. The shower water took a long time to heat up when running and yes, as some have commented, it can be a little noisy, but for me that added to the buzz of staying so centrally. I would definitely stay again.

Good location & easy to walk & explore the city. The room was comfortable. However, there was no way to heat water for hot tea or cups for anything larger than just nespresso. The bathroom was spacious, but lacked counter space . If they put a smal table next to sink area, it would be perfect. Staff was fantastic, helpful & friendly.

Perfect location for first time visitors, walking distance to all Old Town quarters, as long as you are good with walking stairs and steep streets. Also many excellent restaurants only steps away. Famous tram 28 stops right in front. Also tram 24 which is useful for Principe Real. Metro across the square. Train to Belem short but steep walk down, or one metro stop. Staff super friendly and accommodating. I am deducting one star because wifi was less than satisfactory.

Nice hotel but really noisy all night on Saturday. Loud crowds and ambulances going into the wee hours. Great location in Chiado, but not great when it’s time to sleep. Sunday night was a little better.
