The food is good and the staff are very nice. The Hotel is in the center of every thing.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for a week during last January. The staff was courteous and helpful, the room was neat and spacious and the breakfast was excellent. In addition, the building itself is a fine example of late XIX century neoclassical architecture with very delicate decoration. The hotel location is great, on the very elegant Avenida da Liberdade, and close to the amazing Rossio train station. It is also at walking distance from the Praca do Comercio and other historical attractions.

The hotel is great, nice free breakfast Buffett. They even offered us free breakfast at 4:45 am because our flight was at 7. The staff is excellent and the hotel is clean, palatial and well maintained.

We stayed at the Avenida Palace for two days after a cruise. The hotel was beautiful, the staff was helpful and friendly and friendly. Not sure you could have had a better location right in the middle of town lots of shopping and restaurants. It was also just a few feet from the "Hop On Hop Off" Grayline tour bus. Breakfast was also delicious!

Great and easy access from Public Transport, located by Rossio Sq. The hotel itself is older but comfortable, most of the staff were very helpful though certain individual might not be as agreeable. Overall, great experience in Lisbon!

The inside of this hotel is small but elegant. The decor is understated but beautiful in both the public spaces and in the rooms. The concierge was especially helpful and the front desk personnel were pleasant. One delightful touch was live music in the main lobby at 7:00PM each night. One night there was a piano player and another evening a choir sang. On the whole, we were well satisfied with the hotel and would recommend it to others.

Stayed there over a weekend, upgraded to a deluxe room, very large and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful. Breakfast buffet had just about anything anybody would desire, and all of it was freshly made. Great hotel in a great location!

The Avenida Palace is a fabulous hotel, combining the best of the old (old world charm, ornate decoration, elegance, and attentive service) with the best of the new (wi-fi in the rooms, hot showers, and air conditioning). The hotel has several large salons/lounges/ ballrooms, I don't know their original use, and many smaller lounges ornately furnished with unique antiques. The open main staircase is topped by a stained glass skylight. The hotel truly is a palace. The location is ideal, steps from the Metro (Restauradores on Linea Azul), Rossio train station, and, for better or for worse, a Starbucks. There are also many restaurants within just a few blocks.

We loved the Avenida Palace Hotel. We could walk to so many of the historic sites and restaurants we wanted to visit. Our rooms were lovely, with antiques and comfort. The breakfast buffet was sumptuous and delicious. The complimentary port was nice, and the bartender helped us understand Portuguese wines. All the staff were friendly and helpful. We wish there had not been cigarette and cigar smoke in the lobby.

One of the classiest hotels I've ever stayed at. Elegant decor and regal furnishings make you feel like royalty and the staff could not be more hospitable and friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Definitely stay at this hotel!

Perfect location, great staff, would def. stay again!

Nice hotel at great location. Buffet breakfast is decent. The only drawback is the room we stayed (at lower level 2nd floor) had slightly mildew small, and there was no other room was available as we checked with front desk. So we had to open the windows for fresh air to ventilate the room every time we walked the room.

Great staff, rooms, breakfast and excellent location.

The staff were very helpful. They set up a terrific tour. The breakfast which was included was fantastic and we had come off a cruise on a great ship known for it's food. The hotel was classy with a pianist in lobby and a beautiful look to it.

Right in the main square, easy to walk to most attractions or catch a taxi. Large classy rooms.

Nice room. Central location within walking distance to many attractions, trains, metro and restaurants. Nice ambience.

Staff were very nice, friendly and pay utmost attention to customers. This hotel centrally located and easy for commute.

internet works ... great breakfast ... ******** says my review is too short

We loved this hotel, could not beat the location and the staff was great. Very beautiful hotel. Only complaint was that the air conditioning did not work very well and the room was warm. Would definitely stay here again!

This was an amazing hotel. Location is fantastic, likely the closest to the water, easy walk to everything worth seeing and doing in the city. On Halloween my daughter got a chocolate jack-o-lantern delivered to our room as a wonderful and thoughtful surprise. Beautiful historic hotel. Great staff. Wonderful breakfast. We had to leave early our last day and they brought us room service breakfast as we could not make the regular one--their idea, no charge. Wow...!
