Nice room with some view. Fireplace and breakfast delivered to the room were nice touches. Very friendly staff. Bathroom will need some updating and breakfast options should be expanded.

Very nice facility. Clean place, high quality mattress, fireplace, balcony, Jacuzzi tub, breakfast delivered to the room. Busy beach so lots of people watching. Got a midweek rate. Weather man said sunny and 72 degrees so booked a last minute trip. Was amazing!

This property has a great location with beautiful ocean views. The only reason the rating is low is due to the terrible beds. We barely slept. Please beware unless you like a extra firm mattress. I won't be returning.

Amenities limited.

Little things bothered me. One must leave the building & cross the driveway to get ice or soda. The water was out. The next closest place to get it was 3 blocks away. They should have some to give out or buy. The pilot light was out in my fireplace & had to wait until the next day for it to be fixed.

Best weekend getaway

We had never stayed here before. We were very surprised at how impeccable the inn was. Everything was perfect. Room was perfect. Fireplace in the room was amazing. The view from the room was absolutely stunning. If I could give it a 10 I would.

This Inn looked brand new! Very nice and clean. The room was very nice and we had a great view of the ocean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We thought it was really nice that they bring free breakfast to your room! we had a great stay and can't wait to come back.

On the first night of my stay I returned to the hotel at 11:30pm and found myself locked out of the hotel. The emergency intercom malfunctioned and I didn't know what else to do so I called the police and the hotel staff retaliated against me because they were angry. The breakfast wasn't enough for 1 person let alone 2. The next day I went to attempt to order breakfast for the next day and the desk clerk wouldn't allow me to do so. I was forced eat the same thing for breakfast as the first morning for the remainder of my stay. The hotel staff was so nasty and rude to me until they found out that I was checking out early and then they became so friendly it was sickening. I will never ever stay there again.

Shearwater has been our “go to” spot for years. Over that time, we have noticed that there are more and more little things that need attention. For example, coat hangers on the wall that are very loose, loose shower handle (feels like it’s going to come off), squeaky bathroom door, etc. They are little things, but for the price per night we paid, I would expect more attention to the small things. Still a wonderful place to stay and we love having our sliding door open to listen to the ocean.
