I stayed for 2 days in June 2017 and booked in the Privilege room. Although it is a bit outside Lille, actually location was very convenient, as it was just a stone throw away from the highway. It is also very quiet, and there is also free parking facility. What really impress me are the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. At the check-in they briefed me on the room, facilities, and everything else very clearly. In addition, they tried to help me with the air conditioning problem. Sadly, room itself is a bit standard and aging. Although Privilege room is a bit bigger and equipped with more amenities (minibar is free), I think it is a bit overpriced. Moreover, during my stay my air conditioning just broke down, and the temperature in the room was just too hot, especially in the summer month. Despite all of that, I think this is a very decent hotel and if the price is right, I may come back again.

This is a modern hotel in a quiet area in the north of Lille. Our room was well appointed with a super king-sized bed and a bathroom with over the bath shower. The only problem with the bathroom was that there was only about 12 inches between the edge of the marble washbasion surround and the end of the shower screen, so you had to fold the creen back and get in the bath before you could turn the shower on. Breakfast in the restaurant was good, with a wide range of dishes including fruit, yoghurt, croissants, pains au chocolat, cereals, pancakes, waffles, cheese, ham, bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs, tea coffee and different juices. As we were out most of the day around Ypres we generally had dinner there and only dined once at the hotel when we had the prix fixe menu, which was fine, but not much choice. Had we wanted to dine in Lille, the hotel seemed rather isolated and surrounded by major roads, and the nearest restaurant looked, on the map, to be about 1km away.

I stayed at this hotel for the past 4 nights and although it was a bit out of the way it is excellent. the rooms, breakfast and staff are all very friendly. The only downside is that the prices in the bar are rather steep however you can get the tram or a taxi into the main centre. Overall very pleasant and worth a visit!

Quiet, comfortable, friendly and welcoming - not always ingredients in a Mercure overnight but here they all come together. Rooms on the 4th floor are well appointed and comfortable, put together with breakfast and parking and the close proximity to Lille this all adds up to 10/10. Thanks to the staff who really made an ordinary stay into an excellent one.

Stayed here in July found the hotel very Clean and comfortable rooms. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beds very comfortable Morning breakfast excellent bar slight expensive Definitely stay here again

We stopped here on our way to Germany for 1 night and then again on our way back home before getting the ferry from Calais to Dover. The check in was efficient and friendly and we were allocated a room on the 2nd floor both times. The rooms are large and spacious, comfortable bed and bathroom with a shower over the bath. The bath is quite high and a vanity unit next to it on one side makes getting in and out quite difficult as there is only a small space. There are tea and coffee making facilities in the room but small paper cups let it down also only 2 small milk pods provided. You are given 2 free bottles of water and there is also fridge available for you to use.We had the set 3 course evening meal on both nights and this was excellent quality and good value for money. The starter one evening was parma ham and melon followed by a prawn stir fry or chicken with spaghetti and a meringue snowball for dessert. The breakfast was buffet style and the fresh orange juice was particularly good and worth a mention. The croissants and pastries were also very good and there were hot items such as scrambled egg, bacon(not very good)and sausage also soft or hard boiled eggs as well. The only downside were the flies which i could see landing on the fresh fruit and pastries and no effort seemed to be made to get rid of them!!All in all though an excellent hotel which we would use again.

The hotel is based a little way outside of Lille, but if you have a car, there is a large free car park. The outside of this hotel looks very dated and uninviting, but the inside is a complete contrast! Our room was decorated to a good standard and it was clean, as was the bathroom, which is always very important. The room was well equipped for the price, with a minibar, safe, bottled water and tea and coffee making facilities. The whole of the hotel looked like it had been refurbished not too long ago, all very modern and bright. Service was very good, especially from reception staff who were always friendly and helpful and they spoke good English. The bar was a nice place to have drinks, with sofas and a large TV. We had dinner in the restaurant and really enjoyed the food. Breakfast was also very enjoyable, with plenty of choice. The only thing we felt let the hotel down was room service. We decided on our choices and telephoned to give our order, only to be told that what we wanted was from an old menu, so someone had to bring us the correct menu to choose from. The food was nice but could have been better. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here and felt that it was great value for money. This hotel is just as nice as other hotels we have stayed in that are more expensive.

This hotel is on the outside of the city. It is well situated for motor ways and access to the East of France and west of Belgium. We did a Battle Fields Tour and this was very well placed for such a tour. The group spend two days here, took advantage of public transport to explore Lille and made good use of the hotel restaurant and bar. We were happy.

Great welcome by staff, and asap you feel very welcome at the hotel. The rooms are at a good size and you quickly get the feeling that this hotel is geared to host business travelers. The only negative comment is that their fitness room is way to small to a hotel at that size, just a few machines and you don't wanna wait for the machines, they should upgrade this facility. All in all a great hotel.

...because it's easy to reach from the motorway, secure, free parking. Friendly welcome and staff at breakfast also very pleasant. Big room with very large bed and very comfortable and clean and was also really quiet. Excellent breakfast, lots of choice (loved fresh pineapple) and really good bread. Tram stop few minutes walk from the hotel entrance gives easy access into the city centre. We often stay in Mercure hotels and find them consistently good; this one is now added to our list of highly recommended ones.
