Close to the station, this hotel provides perfectly satisfactory accommodation but no frills. Rooms are plain and simply furnished - irritating that the taps cut in and out. Breakfast is competent but nothing special - short on choice and some very leathery omelette. But I slept well with no city centre disturbance. Staff were helpful.

Room was clean and beds comfy. Shower was a little difficult as you had to hold the shower head to wash. Ate in the restaurant food was very good. No tea or coffee in the room. If you go by car go to the hotel first and get a ticket to park your car at a better rate in the multi storey opposite. Would recommend.

The reception staff were friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and clean with a safe and refrigerator. The fridge only worked though when the key card activated the electricity in the room. Parking is nearby and costs 10 euros per 24 hours; tickets could be purchased at reception. The hotel is situated close to the new railway station and bus stops. There were plenty of eating places nearby. As this area is being developed it wasn't uncommon to be asked for money or cigarettes.

Arrived by train from Brussels and spotted the hotel before we had entered the station. 3 Stars clearly displayed on advertising and signage but I am not convinced it really warrants such, 2 stars certainly but facilities are basic and location is functional. Having said this I have no real problem as it is clean, efficiently run, and everything seems to work (though wifi seems to flag in the evenings, probably due to excessive use). The Brasserie was in the middle of its 3 week summer closure (in common with many others in the area and the town centre) so cannot comment on its service. Breakfast was pricey at 12€ for the usual buffet affair with coffee from machines but quality was reasonable, including some of the best bacon I have come across outside the UK, and quantity unmonitored. My 3rd floor room was clean, bed comfortable, air con adjustable and window double glazed which was good as the room overlooked the rail lines and noise was an issue with the window open and heat would have been an issue with it closed (which A/C overcame). Bathroom clean, if a little cramped, and though shower was good toiletries were limited to wall-mounted dispensers of gel/shampoo one by the basin and one in the shower, the latter needing some running repairs on arrival. Very handy for rail travel but downside is that hotel is in a slightly down-market area. Frequent buses (every 5 mins) to centre (lines 1 or 4 from Stand A in front of station) are cheap and there is the (much slower) option of the river bus close by. Would happily stay again.

What we liked: our room was spacious and clean. The hotel is conveniently located across from the new and architecturally unique train station. What we didn't like: they have smoking rooms and nonsmoking rooms located on the same floor. This is probably not a good hotel for families with young children or people who are sensitive to cigarette smoke.

Stayed a couple of nights while on holiday in Belgium. Super convenient location across from the beautiful Guillemins train station. Hotel staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and professional. Restaurant served excellent food in a cheerful, pleasant environment, and it wasn't too pricey. Room was large and comfortable, mostly, but decor was a little dated. Air conditioning was very weak and almost useless. I opened a window to cool off, and tiny black bugs invaded the room...I think they were midges. Overall, it was a nice place to stay, just need to update the rooms some and get air conditioning that works.

Very easy to find, we arrived at the train station and looked out over the railing at the view, and there it was, we walked to it in moments. Room was pleasant and comfortable. view was a disaster - a building site. But no matter, we weren't here for the view. Hotel was a bit of a walk to the "old" town, but the bus and tram stop was just outside the door so very handy anyhow. Breakfast was very nice with lots of selection. My husband was thrilled to find a proper coffee maker with decaf coffee in it!

Stayed a few nights for work. Restaurant was fantastic and a real treat. Rooms were small but more then functional. Convenient stores are nearby if you need supplies. No tea making facilities so its water or go downstairs. Excellent WiFi connection so working in the evenings was a breeze. Would happily stay again.

The hotel is right opposite the Liege Gullimens railway station and easily walkable. The staff was very courteous and check in was very smooth. Rooms were spacious and good. The heater was not working but the a/c was able to keep the room warm. The breakfast was good and sufficient. They keep your luggage after check out. A very good place to stay.

A nice starting point for your visit in Liège if you are arriving by train.Within 5 minutes walking distance from Guillemins. From the hotel it is approximately a 20 minutes walk to the city. But you won't notice the distance as there is plenty to see while walking. The room was clean and the personnel very friendly.
