We visited this hotel two weeks ago and were delighted with most aspects of it. The room was spacious with a lovely bathroom. The only criticism was a lack of drawer space. The staff were very friendly and helpful, especially in the dining room. Everywhere was very clean and we would have no hesitation in visiting again.
My wife and I were on a coach tour to Belgium and stayed at the Ramada December 1 to 4. After reading some of the remarks published here I was rather apprehensive. However, our experience was totally positive: a quiet room (despite being opposite the three lifts!), comfortable beds, nice bathroom etc. The buffet breakfast was very good, offering a choice of hot foods and a range of items one expects for a 'continental' breakfast. The staff were all very helpful and cheerful, particularly the reception people. The view from our room was disappointing (we looked out onto a blank wall of the neighbouring apartment block) but we weren't in the room long enough for that to bother us). The dining room was, like the separate breakfast room, in the old Convent. It offered a quite good menu but be warned - the portions are ENORMOUS, and neither my wife nor I could finish them. Why entitle this review as "Nice to return"? Well, about 7 years ago we stayed at the same hotel, except then it was called the Bedford. The Ramada group has remodelled the huge reception area and generally improved the decorations and fittings elsewhere. A very enjoyable and comfortable stay.
Stayed for one night on the way to Germany. I like a Ramada they are always comfortable. Good bed and a pillow menu but expensive evening food. The breakfast was really good lots of choice in a really nice dining room. The staff were very pleasa.nt
This hotel is clean, friendly staff and excellent breakfast, although the drinks and evening meals are a little on the expensive side. It is situated right by the river and enables holiday makers to walk around the beautiful area easily
We had to spend an evening in Liège and liked have a short visit on Sunday morning. Clean and Comfortable rooms not far from the commercial part of the city with a sight on the river. Thanks the the 24 hours service, we could arrive during the night (2 o'clock) and were very well served at the reception. Next morning, after a very good breakfast and a present (great bottle of Leffe) we could walk in the market before leaving for Vervcies.
We stayed one night at this Hotel and really enjoyed the Ramada quality rooms and touches. It was a great location. The check in clerk was a little cold, maybe he was busy or having a bad day? The rest of the staff were friendly. All in all enjoyed the stay and would return.
Better then other Liège hotels, but: Noise of city in certain rooms. No fridge in rooms. No iron. Weak breakfast. Narrow bath because of curtains. Expensive beer in lobby. Good free internet. Large lobby and garden.
Sunday night stay for business. Liege is not the best laid out place for traffic but found the hotel without too many problems. This hotel is a small oasis in an area that is in need of renovation by the river. Car parking was available and secure, better than leaving on the street in my opinion. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Not many staying in the hotel that night but bar/restaurant guy was really good as was the waiter covering breakfast. Food was good, simple but well presented and tasty - loved the meatballs! Quiet and good night's sleep. Traffic in the morning drive to my business meeting was not good but that's not the hotel's fault.
We stayed here for one night and when you add up what we paid for one room, parking and breakfast it was far too much (just shy of £260). The staff were wonderful we have no complaints there at all, very friendly and polite. Our room was very large but rather soulless. Room could most definitely do with refurbishment and have a little bit of life blown into it. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room. Breakfast buffet was good with various options available.
This was a stop over on return from a River Danube Cruise, we got the impression that this was a well organised hotel, reception was very clean as were other rooms and facilities bedroom excellent, a very nice restaurant, evening meal was average, breakfast buffet very good choice, service was good
