Ramada Plaza Liege City Center4.0 out of 5.0

The Ramada is a good hotel. The rooms are spacious even though ours had a column that limited mobility between the actual bedroom and the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and the quality of sleep was good. Beautiful view of the Meuse and the bridges of Liège. The hotel has a private hotel, a little expensive. However, it is possible to park for free near the property. Near the city center. Only twenty minuts on foot.
A decent location in Liège across the road from the river and about 1km walk to the edge of the city centre. Finding the place even with gps was a challenge and they do have parking behind the hotel for €12.50/ night. When we checked in the gentleman at the front desk was less than friendly and not very helpful. This was made up for in the morning with a different gent who was super friendly and helpful especially regarding the parking for the remainder of the day. The room was small and the bathroom tight neither a surprise. The AC was just ok but at least it had it which was a good thing given the unusually hot weather. The bar had a 50% happy hour special which was nice. The room price was ok. But not sure it was a 4 star hotel...
We enjoyed the Ramada in Luik a lot. Easy to get there, near the center and very nice staff while price was very reasonable. Next time we need to be in Luik I will definitely check out this hotel again
I have visited the hotel on many occasions and actually stayed over 20 years ago when it was The Bedford Hotel, it has since changed to the Ramada group and now it is quite different. The location is convenient and quite central to most things in Liege. The hotel is situated on the banks of the river Meuse and although there is a main road outside, is very quiet. The services are of a high standard and breakfast is excellent. The rooms are a generous size and kept clean by a highly dedicated group of chamber staff. The hotels main plus point and this a big one, comes down, not to the rooms, not to the breakfast or even location, but to one thing people tend to overlook in reviews… and that is the staff. A fantastic bunch of people, my main dealings are with reception, nothing is too much trouble and whilst my French is basic to say the least, they make every effort to help in any way possible, from booking taxis to helping find places of interest to local advice and services. Then come the staff at breakfast, a nicer group of people you could only wish to find, going the extra mile to accommodate guests and their dietary requirements, from the cheery Bonjour to have a good day and beyond. Always happy and smiling….. at that time in the morning? I do a fair bit of staying in hotels and am sometimes too eager to complain, but with the staff at the Ramada you cannot, they make the whole stay a treat and an absolute pleasure. I look to these people not as hotel staff anymore they are more friends now. I cannot praise them highly enough.
The rooms are quite big and are clean. The employees are very friendly and helpful. Hotel breakfast is good but is the same every day of the week. There's no fridge in the room which can be an issue if you stay long term. Location along the river is pleasant and you're only 10 minutes away from downtown.
Hello fellow dog travellers. I was planning trip with my dogs, and have choose this hotel to stay for 1 night. As I’m very suspicious about pets policies, i have decided to confirm with all hotels i have booked for my trip if hotel does accept pets. It turned out that this hotel does not accept pets. Fellow per travellers: stay away from this hotel. Hotel management: it’s agains European Union law to put false information in advertising materials. Please immediately remove “pet friendly” from all searching engines, or change your policy.
I arrived super early for check in (9 AM after flying to Liege from nyc), the man at the front desk was very helpful and gave me my room even tho I was so early. Breakfast was good and big. Rooms are big and clean, but perhaps a bit outdated. Location is great and the garden / bar is really lovely.
Good hotel..nice breakfast before 9:30 later on its a bit less.. employees very helpfull👍🏼 And of course only 20 min away from the dutch city maastricht. So many options available. 10min walking distance to the liege shopping centrum.
Very good hotel, room was clean, everything available. The beds were very good, this is for me the most important item in a hotel. Hotel was walking distance to the lovely centre of Luik. Breakfast was very good, staff were very friendly. We had stayed in the Ramada in Dubai, was also very good. When we need again a hotel we would certainly first look for a Ramada hotel.
Most of the star hotels give free parking but we had to pay for it ! Almost 12.5 euro for one night! Also room had no bar or fridge! Also, the toilet had no cleaning brush which was surprising ! But we really liked the breakfast spread and appreciate the staff working there. ! Also more facilities like spa or some entertainment zone would be a plus for more families to come and enjoy the stay !
