We stayed in this hotel for one night as part of a Shearings holiday. It is located close to the centre of Liege opposite the rail/bus terminus; so ideal for a short break or like our party for a stopover. Given the location of the hotel our room was exceptionally quiet will little or no traffic noise which was a bonus. Our bedroom was on the smallish side but incorporated all the usual amenities including, unusually, a kettle and a well provisioned courtesy tray. The bathroom was also on the small side but again it was well appointed and above all clean. Given the large number in our party, the check in was fast and friendly. The hotel does not serve dinner but there are plenty of restaurants close at hand. The breakfast was rather disappointing with limited selections from the hot and cold buffets plus many of the dishes had not been replenished leaving even less choice. It must be said that the size of our party did put a strain on the hotel catering resources especially since the breakfast room was not large. So all in all we would defiantly use this hotel again if we found ourselves in Liege. We would however try and avoid breakfast during busy periods especially if a group the size of ours was staying!
Stayed here for three nights with a party visiting Christmas markets in the region. Our room was very quiet and spacious, the beds were comfortable and we had a view of the magnificent new railway station. The bathroom was well laid out with a big shower which had a removable head shower - a big plus in my opinion. The one problem in the bathroom was the modern style basin which was impossible to use without splashing yourself and the surrounding area. The breakfast area was a little cramped but the range of food available was very good. The one thing we missed was a lounge/communal space where we could sit with other members of the group in the evening. There is an atrium which was not the place to sit in December and was also used by smokers. Overall I would recommend this hotel. It is very convenient for the station though a short bus ride (they stop outside) into the centre of Liege.
Good hotel. Very good location. Poor breakfast. Ridiculously installed sinks in the bathroom. Furniture of rooms is quite ok. Fast WLAN Connection. Very friendly staff and very helpful director. Recommended for a stay in Liège.
We were relocated to this hotel by Hotel Univers as they had a problem. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and our room was a good size and comfortable. The bathroom was good with a hairdrier. The view from our window of the marvellous Calatrava designed railway was great and we weren't bothered by noise
The bed was comfy, the hotel is nice and modern... the staff where friendly in reliving me of my monies for the stay it was a nice quiet hotel in the busy part of town, theres a train station very close if you like trains... Lack of parking we had to park 3 streets away and struggled to find the car next morning the towels were a bit flat i like fluffy towels... tea making faculties in the room were a bit poor but the two shoe shine spongers made up for the lack or things to drink ! the train station opens at 6 am on a sunday morning, the tannoy woke me up from my sleep about fluffy towels...
Stayed one night en route having found this hotel on-line - it's a perfectly good modern hotel, nice sized clean and tidy room and helpful staff. Small bar and eating area on the ground floor - didn't eat so cannot comment on that. Situated right opposite the amazing modern Liege railway station so great if you are travelling by train - we were travelling by car and parking nearby was quite expensive. Only down side was that this hotel is located quite a way out from the centre if you want to go out in the city centre in the evening.
We only stayed a day and one night there but we enjoyed it quite a lot. The place was clean and good equipped. The view was not great, but for us that didn't matter for such a short stay, as our aim was to stay as much as possible outside, visiting and not in a hotel room. The area was quiet and that was a surprise as the hotel is located quite close to the main train station, but that didn't seem to matter. Very friendly and helpful staff. Will certainly stay here again if we'll re-visit Liege.
Personnel rather cold.Twin room very spacious with all expected commodities. Spacious bathroom. Soap dispenser a bit hard to squeeze. Poorly designed sink and tap unit, which was splashing water all over. Air conditioning not working very well. Uncomfortable sleep on a warm night. Breakfast very well appointed with a very wide choice and selection. Situated opposite the new railway station. Lack of parking facilities. Multi storey parking a few hundred yard away (10 euros per night). If you pay in cash you need to pay a 25 Euros deposit which you recover in the morning. Very unconvenient. Centrally located but rather expensive.
We spent one night at this hotel, on our way to Paris. We booked the room 3 hours before arriving through Amoma, and everything was just clean and ready when we arrived. Nice staff, clean room, great breakfast.
We stayed here just over a week ago as an overnight hotel arranged with Shearings for our coach load of holiday makers returning to the UK. It was quite late when we arrived as our coach had got held up in traffic and we had to go for our evening meal at the nearby Brasserie Liegoise restaurant before we could check in as the hotel does not do evening meals. There are 2 lifts, we couldn`t find any nearby stairs so as there were a full coach load of us there was a bit of a queue before we all got to our rooms, however when we did it was a pleasant surprise to find a massive twin room furbished with tea, coffee, etc and a very large long bathroom. It was obvious the room had been recently refurbished as everything was clean and modern looking. Although the bathroom was large the shower was in the middle and the toilet and basin at opposite ends of the shower. It would have been more practical to have the shower at one end and the toilet and basin side by side, but we were only staying for one night and had to be up early the next day so didn`t get much chance to see the facilities the hotel had or the surrounding location, although it appeared to be in a busy area with quite a few shops around the area. Breakfast the next morning was buffet style and quite rushed as we only had 45 minutes from the start to when we had to get on our coach for the journey home. Content of the food available for breakfast appeared to have everything for either continental or a cooked meal with a toast making machine and tea/coffee and fruit juice all available, however the bread and butter was located in a different area to the toast machine and it was a bit confusing as to where this and that item was located in order to get the food you wanted, it seemed as though you were getting a plate, etc from an area away from the food you wanted to put on it, but then again there were a lot of us in a smallish breakfast room and we were rushed as well, so had we been able to enjoy a leisurely breakfast it may have been a nicer eating experience, but what we did have was very enjoyable and there was plenty of it.
