The place is good enough if you’re looking for a quick rest but the room or the carpet has some weird smell. Thankfully the staffs are friendly and helpful

I paid a bit extra for accessibility, since I’ve got a freshly broken rib. The room was way down a long corridor—hardly ideal, and there was no luggage cart. While there was space in the bathroom had I been in a wheelchair—I’m not—the fridge was at floor level and turned off, so I had to get down on hands and knees to peer around for the switch. That hurt. While I was down there I found the rotted avocado that the cleaners had missed because, of course, you couldn’t see inside without getting down on hands and knees. The room was non-accessible in various other ways as well, by anyone’s definition.

There should be more than one regular coffee pod per room and a king suite needs extra towels. Also, the hotel beds more and better outlets. Otherwise, it was a nice stay.

It was close to U of Idaho. The breakfast was simple, but filling.

Flashing light On telephone would not shut off, staff didn't know how to fix, smelly sheets, old used coffe filter/coffee still in coffee pot in room.

Hotel is very rundown which was reflected in the price. I read other reviewa if this property mentioning the cleanliness and upkeep being positive attrubutes but neither was true in the room my family stayed in. There was (we hope) melted chocolate in the middle of one bedspread and stains on the others. It is probably a good thing that i did not have one of those travelers blacklights. The chairs and carpet also had an abundance of stains. There were parts of the sink that had whiskers, dust and debris that havent been cleaned in what looks like several stays. The porcelain in the tubs is fairly worn with rust on the showerhead pipe and the edges of the linileum flooring have been lifting for quite a while. My room was near the back entrance and i was surprised to see the security lock to the back door had been removed leaving the property vulnerable to theft. The fire doors in the stairwell that protect exiting and prevent fire spread were broken so they dont close and latch as required. This is a non sprinklered building so a fire could spread rapidly, trapping guests. Out if curiosity i tested the emergency exit lighting and although they technically worked, the batteries were so low that the light would have been marginally effective if needed. As i mentioned, the price was good. The problem is that i believed some reviews that didn't reflect the true condition of the property.

Friendly, quick check in. Clean rooms. Free breakfast with waffle iron was a nice bonus.

After a very long 7 hour drive Super 8 in Moscow, Idaho didn't have our reservation, even though I had my paperwork with confirmation. The girls didn't even take the time to make a call to check our status, they just repeated themselves saying there were no rooms available. We went up the street to another hotel where two staff members got on the phone trying to find us a room somewhere in the area even though they knew we weren't staying in their hotel. Why didn't the staff at Super 8 treat us like that? They should have tried anything they could to find us lodging. We ended up staying in the worst hotel in town the first night, and found a room in a much nicer hotel the second night, of which will have our frequent business for now on. Super 8 will never have our business again.

Clean quiet hotel will stay again... close to everything

Staff was very nice and helpful. Allowed us to use the breakfast room for a family party one evening. Much appreciated!

Pros: Staff was nice, check in was easy. Little note from housekeeping was welcoming. Cons: My room had newer furniture (bed, desk, night stand). However, the carpets felt like they hadn't been cleaned in years (wore my shoes, too icky to go barefoot). There was this old recliner in the room that was worn and stained. It looked like something that was dragged in from the dumpster. Really gross. The air conditioner looked like it had been ripped from the wall at some point and patched back in with bubblegum (not literally bubblegum, it was just a really bad patch job). The final kicker was the stained ring around the bathtub. I think if the carpets were fresher, the recliner was removed, and the bathtub de-ringed, I would not have been so grossed out. With all that said, it is a cheap hotel. I guess you get what you pay for. I am not usually very squeamish, and I would stay here again in a pinch. I felt fine in the bed, I just kept clear of the dumpster chair. I stay in Super 8 hotels often. They are usually a pleasant surprise to the star rating. This was disappointing.

I stayed here in February and based on my experience rebooked..I wanted a clean, quiet, inexpensive room and this met my needs.

Not a very clean room. Has the old tube style TV's in the rooms. Had a game console that requires hdmi connection and this was not possible with those style of TV's. Disappointed!

This hotel is pretty basic, but gets the job done. The location is great. It is a half a block from a U of I campus entrance and the walking path is great, we walked to our destination on campus with in 15 minutes.

Was VERY appreciative when we asked if we could move from the 3rd to the 1st floor(no elevator)after our 1st night, and they let us move right away! I just couldn't go up those stairs. There is one staff member that didn't even look up from her computer when we came in late in the evening, but all the other staff we encountered smiled and said hello. Not a bad place to stay when you're on a budget .

We have stayed at the Motel 8 about 1/2 dozen times now when we travel to Moscow to visit our son and have been quite happy with it for the price. The beds are always comfortable and for the most part the rooms are clean and adequate. We do not need the pool and hot tub and fanciness that the higher rate places have but do want a safe and clean establishment . Wish they had more choices for continental breakfast, though.

The hotel was fine and the price was excellent compared to what we have paid in Moscow during other parent weekends.
