This is a modern Silken chain hotel and is typical of most corporate properties I’ve stayed at in my career. It’s something like a Marriott property with no character. It’s a ways to the city’s old center. We slept very well there – comfortable room and bed. The breakfast was excellent.
Friendly staff. Comfortable room. As it was a Sunday, we were able to park outside for free. Breakfast was good. WiFi was variable. Relatively close to the old town- so we could walk there. Nice little bar nearby for a light dinner
Great accommodation, convenient indoor parking, very close to the pedestrian area of the city, where you can find delicious restaurants. Friendly staff and very helpful. Good value for money. Recommended for both business and tourism.
We had a very small tub overflow and the one person staff could not leave her post to get us some more towels. The room was large, the beds very comfortable, the water hot and plentiful, the towel were thin but large. The air conditioning was good and cold. Breakfast was very good and lots of choices. This is a large hotel.
Smoking is not allowed, but is condoned. The corridors are thick with smoke andthis penetrates to the rooms. The smoke detector in the rooms no corridors obviously do not work. Spoiled what is otherwise good hotel.
Very nice hotel, with comfortable rooms and good location. However the staff did not seem to be aware of the needs of individuals walking the Camino. For example: we were not informed that breakfast did not start until 0800 on our day of departure. With limited Spanish it was difficult for this pilgrim to figure these things out.
My wife and I are doing the Camino de Santiago and our travel agent booked us into this hotel for an extra day rest. The place is run down, 80 degrees, beastly hot in room and no air conditioning because they switched to heat and won’t switch back. Signs say restaurant will open at 6:30.....sorry, 8:30 PM. The staff is rude, lighting is like a cave, hair dryer is in pieces. This rates as the worst hotel over the 30 days that we have been on the Camino. Don’t stay here, you’ll regret it!
Group of 50 walking Camino stayed at this hotel for a week Rooms and ensuite bathroom to a good standard Well serviced Breakfast was hit and miss On a few days big numbers for breakfast which seemed to overwhelm the staff and they could not keep up with the demand to replenish the buffet The coffee machines could not handle the demands Other days with lesser numbers there was not so many problems The bar behind reception was hit and miss and the level of serviced varied greatly. The biggest disappointment was the attitude of the reception staff. ApRt from one lady most were not really interested in providing guest requirements A good hotel which has the potential to be very good I stayed in the same chain in San Sebastián and it was excellent
Leon is an amazing city just 2.30 hours away from Madrid if coming by fast train or 4 hours by bus. Leon has some really nice scenic locations to be worth visiting. It is one of the neatest cities of Spain & you can find lot of gardens & parks in Leon. People love football here & you can see them playing all around you if wondering all the city. Hotel Silken Luis de Leon is located in the heart of the city and just in front of the very famous & biggest shopping mall at 25 meters distance. Worth visiting if coming to Spain for a leisure trip.
Arrived after a long day. First room we were offered had not been cleaned but we were immediately offered another modern and quiet room. Dinner was included but restaurant was full so ate in the bar. Limited menu del dia but tasty enough. Tina's salmon not cooked so sent it back and got another. Breakfast OK. Slept really well in a comfy bed
