The hotel is understaffed, but those that we encountered were very friendly and helpful. They could, however, could probably benefit from more training as a few we encountered were a little lost as to how to handle technical problems during our workshop. My room was very spacious, and at first glance, you would think it was luxurious. But the place was dusty and smelled like damp cloth. The bathroom floor gets flooded because the drain was clogged. Housekeeping came several times to try and fix the problem, to no avail. I got this sense that cleaning the rooms was not done thoroughly, and that there was just an effort to make the room look nice. I think I will bring a disinfectant next time. The food in the oriental restaurant was very good, though, although a little pricey. The outdoor bar/restaurant was cozy and served good bar food.

Toilet/bathroom is smelly and flush is not working most of the time. We have to get a kettle to get water from the sink to fill the tank. Cockroaches crawling on the floor and in/around the food in buffet restaurant. Had insect bites from sleeping on their bed. Staff are nice though.

This is a classic example of a hotel that manages to survive purely based on its stunning location and being the one of the few options on luxury end in a city. Nothing great to write about the place - stayed here mainly because of the views. The quality is so sub-par they dont have air conditioning in the lobby and most service staff seem clueless about what they are supposed to be efficient at taking care of. WE had issues with everything from getting toileteries in the room refilled(which was never filled in the first place!) to minuscules bottles of water they were ‘giving away freely’ to their guests. LOCATION: Stunning location, close to the city and with great views of the majestic Mount Mayon DINE + DRINK: The volcanic grill at the swimming pool level is a great place for a perfect sunset drink and chilld out dinner with million dollar views of the volcano. The lobby level bar has some great views and a good selection of imported beers and liquor. ROOM: I stayed in 514, so this review is based on that; VIEW: Stunning view of the majestic mount mayon ; SIZE: Decent sized room; AIR-CON: Perfectly functioning cooler that helped in setting the perfect room temperature; BED: Comfortable bed that played the expected part to put me to sleep; BATHROOM: Very low quality bathroom that was smelly; TOILETRIES: very random shower gel and shampoo/conditioner for a hotel of this level FACILITIES: Very random gym that was actually under renovation. The pool is THE HIGHLIGHT of the place. I will let the pictures do the talking. Billion dollar views of the lovely volcano. Especially an evening dip before sunset is a must!! SERVICE: Friendly staff that took care of all my needs with a smile and made us feel pampered . Special Shout out to Patricia at the Front desk who helped us with a Early checkin and got a room with a nice view as per request. HOW WIRED YOU WILL BE: Free high speed Wi-Fi that was very flaky all over the property excep the lobby. Big Plasma TV screen limited to few channels in English covering Movies, news and sports

Stayed overnight, staff was excellent. but the facility is fitted for a 2-3 star not 4 star hotel. algae is already forming at the pool, bath has plumbing problems, and on the web says 24-hrs service, which why I booked, but closed at 10pm. And the restaurant by the pool is not open at 3pm when we we're swimming so we have go go out to order and came back late, and knew that there are no more restaurants open nor room service.

We arrived today at 1:45pm, booked 2 rooms, one room is not yet ready, so we went all up at room 201 to refresh and use the toilet, unfortunately the toilet flush is not working, other family member wish to use the toilet but no flush! Called 2 times already to request for house keeping to check or better yet moved to a new room, but no luck! Disappointed with this hotel, not even a 4 star hotel over rated, will not comeback at this hotel.

I stayed in the Oriental for a day. I was greeted by a friendly staff and they are very accommodating. My friends were taken cared off when they got stranded in the hotel after staying until 1 am and was given a room. I didn't get to try all their food in the buffet, but did enjoy the suman. The breakfast and swimming pool area, comes with a great view.

We booked for 3 days and 2 nights, for my friend's wedding. Good: - customer service is excellent, the staff are very accommodating and patient. They transferred us immediately after one sleepless night because of the noise. - buffet breakfast is ample and they serve local food choices. - at 6am, there's a perfect Mayon Volcano view by the pool side. - transfer from the hotel to the airport is free. Downside: - although it was renovated already, the basic facilities pulls the rating of this hotel down. Toilet flush doesn't work at times, there are rooms that the shower drain does not work well resulting to flood if not managed properly, air conditioning system of some rooms are loud and humid, if you're on the second floor you will hear the kitchen exhaust when it turns on at 3am and it is loud, frequent electrical failure and generator is audible depending on the location of your room. - there's no free shuttle from the hotel to the mall. And there's nothing around the area, as it is situated on top of a hill. This hotel is one of the most expensive in Legazpi and you'll be shortchanged when it comes to the basic hotel facilities. I do not recommend this hotel specially if you're traveling with kids and elderly. It's such a waste because the staff are doing their part to make the stay of the guests pleasant but they can only do as much.

Stayed for 2 nights in this place as this was the venue of our conference.. Room was quite spacious and clean; breakfast buffet was very good with a wide range of choices.. staff are helpful and accommodating. Price is reasonable.

We stayed for 2 nights, Lobby is warm, no aircon , roaches on back of fridge and bathroom. Food in the Grill is a bit expensive. Staff are great though are all respectful and very friendly. The hotel is a bit old, the room that we stayed has a clear view of Mayon but needs a bit of refurbishment, carpet flooring is really old.

-the staff were inattentive and fulfilled my requests hours later. -dirty, disgusting room with a mold budding in the back of the sink, an unwashed toilet bowl, suspiciously yellow toilet paper, an dirty tea cups -in the cracks and crevices of their "modern" bed there were ANTS -greeted by a lovely daddy long legs spider, ants and flies. -the doorbell of our room did not work -the lock of our room did not work -our cabinet was broken and fell right on my foot -the fridge slid off the broken cabinet breaking it as well Overrated, mediocre and absolute TRASH! It was our first and last stay at this hotel and thank god we only stayed overnight! As cliche as it sounds "I would've gave it zero stars if it were possible."
