attended a one day office conference with the hotel as the venue. The place was nice but the service and food needs improvement. the food was just ordinary. the staff/waiter needs to be reminded of orders. the hotel gives a great view of mt. mayon.
Our Twin deluxe room bathroom shower cases keeps on falling, shower door too are almost gonna fall. No Shampoo, Tootbrush and toothpaste none of that are included in our room. Check out my review of this Hotel July 2017 on youtube. Just search "Juan Marko" and look for "The Oriental Hotel"
Great location and good facilities but lacking in the finer touches. Definitely not a 5 star hotel more like 3.5. Only one option for lunch time dining and his is Asian cuisine only, now don’t get me wrong the dishes are good, serving size is good and price is fair but when you stay for more the. 2 days eating from the same menu gets boring. The pool deck bbq is good and well priced but after only 2 beers we were informed they were out of cold beer ! Not a great way to run a business and encourage people to stay and enjoy the place and spend money ! Rooms are okay a touch small and need a serious clean/make over. Our room was very dusty and bathroom had mold in it ! Bed was very comfortable though Be aware if you intend to stay late and are not a guest have transport arranged as after 10pm taxis are almost non existent - not the fault of the hotel but for an establishment of this size and reputation one would think they would have a t least one or two around to call on. Overall would stay again - hopefully the management takes note of these comments and addresses these issue to make it a better experience for all.
It's a shame because The Oriental has the potential to be a great hotel. WIth a view of the Mount Mayon that will take your breathe away, big rooms and a helpful staff, it's a shame to see that the hotel is just simply falling apart. If you touch anything it literally risks breaking (like my soap dispenser did in the shower for example). The rugs look worn--the swimming pool has missing or broken tiles everywhere, and the facade of the hotel is in need of being repainted. I'd still recommend the hotel (since there is literally no other in Legazpi that's even worth mentioning), but I hope that the management can get the funds they desperately need to shape things up.
The oriental a really lovely place for relax and have some fun is very good place since the hotel provide everything what you need ,Hotel staff were helpful, but could still improve more on endorsing and handing over guest concerns/requests to the next person on shift.
Stayed here for one night and paid about P5500 including dinner. I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I’ll start with the positives: - very nice view - great staff - bice reception Negatives: - no face towels which are supposed to be a basic requirement for hotel guests - no lock in the bathroom, sliding door, very weird setup - no bidet nor sprayer I mean come on. Anyway we booked the mayon room and was given one at the 2nd floor. Not worth it cos it was a blocked view. They gave a me a birthday cake during breakfast which was very nice. Thank you!
Its overlooking the city and you have a very nice view of the myon volcano. Staff are very accomodating, the volcanic grill bar and restaurant is a nice place to relax and hear music after a tiring tour. They have a nice pool and it has a nice view of the city and the volcano
My family and I went to bicol for a Mayon adventure. We chose Oriental hotel for the view of the volacano with a accommodation price higher compared to other hotels. The stay wasn't fun because the room on the second floor where we were assigned to stay is not clean and not comfortable. Good thing our itinerary was jam-packed that made us busy outside the hotel and we only go to the room just to sleep. When we come back to our rooms, you see cockroaches on the wall. I didn't notice those walking on the floor since the roaches camaflouges on the floor. I moved our stuff and luggages from the cabinet (without door since it seemed broken because there's a provision) on top of the tables. And the bathroom was too dark and you won't feel comforted at all after a long day outside. The water pipe of the toilet has leak but we called the attention of the popular to fix it. There is an image of a little Buddha (I guess it's a Buddha) that looks creepy and scares my kids. There's a foul smell too! Horrible room! When we went to the restaurant where we ate our breakfast, they ask our room number and I handed to the receptionist my credit card for the additional breakfast that we availed for my kids. Would u believe that they asked for my ID for a less than P500 meal?! On our 2nd day for breakfast, we got there at 9:30am and they told us that the restaurant is almost closing. They told us that it is written in the key card. We were surprised because the message in the key card was until 10am. We're these people out of their minds?! We still insisted since we are all hungry and they let us eat the remaining food in the buffet. The experience wasn't 100% bad because we met this attendant who always approached us for anything that we need. Well, thanks for this guy who somewhat made us not feel totally bad in the hotel.
Went here with my friends... location is far away from the city. Rooms are ok and all. Not too clean if you ask me. I think we even had ants in our room. Now service is really bad. We have been hearing rumors rhat ita because its about to coose and the owners dont really care anymore. But the thing is.. it was fully booked when we arrived and the check in services were really bad. Like they made us wait for almost half a day. And even when the agreed time has arrived for us to check in... the room was still not available. Only good thing i noticed was that it had a dj at night to make the place look like a club with street party version.hahaha
It was our first time to visit Legazpi, Bicol and we've chosen this hotel because of the breathtaking view of the Mayon. It was indeed a great experience! The infinity pool won't disappoint you and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff were very friendly and accomodating. Just noticed some negative factors: 1. Wifi is weak. 2. Buffet Breakfast is not ready at 5am although they have said that it is open from 5-9am. 3. No bidet in all comfort rooms. But all in all, I can say that this hotel will give you a unique and luxurious Bicol experience! :)
