Stylishly renovated stone villa w/fantastic sea view

The holiday home, stylishly renovated stone house with a fantastic sea view. The stone house was restored in cooperation with a Swiss architect with its modern construction and is located on the edge of the village of Kavalos on the Ionic Island Lefkas / Lefkada. It offers all comforts and during the summer, it is a relaxing escape from a hot day at the beach and on cooler days, it is a cosy place with a lot of atmosphere. The view from the terrace is overpowering. You look out onto olive groves and vineyards, the city of Lefkas, the Ionic Sea and beyond to the impressive Epiros mountains. You can go swimming by the nearby dream beaches or you can eat well and drink in a tavern by the sea, hike, go cycling, talk with the locals in the village Kafenion or just enjoy the tranquillity on the terrace. If you are going to rent a car, take a smaller one to get easily to the house through the narrow village streets. A German friend in the city will welcome you and is there for any questions you may have. In 2006, our holiday home was selected as the super holiday home from Pro7 Avenzio. DVD on request.

Lovely property with amazing view

Lovely villa located within the hills above Lefkada. Very clean and really well furnished especially in the kitchen. A car is essential given the location of the villa.

Beautiful stay in charming village

Kavalos is a friendly, authentic Greek village. Marion’s home felt like staying within an original stone villa with luxury updates within. We prepared and ate most meals in the spacious and well-designed kitchen. The bedrooms were very comfortable with modern design and art. At the height of summer, a cool breeze allowed us to keep cool with open windows. Lefkas is just 20 min away for shopping and markets. Remote beaches were a bit of a drive, but the closest are within 15 minutes. Marion was in constant communication with us so we felt well cared for. I highly recommend.

Beautiful Kavalos Villa

The property was incredible. Amazing views and extremely well designed, renovated stone cottage. Well appointed with many more supplies and accommodations than a normal VRBO. A welcoming, chilled wine was awaiting us. The small village had friendly townspeople, and the kafenios (cafe) at the bottom of our road had very nice owners and patrons. Overall, it was a very nice experience.

The house is beautiful, woth a well stocked kitchen ready for cooking. The veranda is beautiful and the view amazing. My only comment would be that the roads are so narrow leading th the house and more emphasis should be placed on this.

Tolles Ferienhaus mit traumhafter Aussicht

Wir waren das zweite Mal hier. Das Ferienhaus ist super ausgestattet und die Lage ist kaum zu toppen. Die Vermieter sind vor Ort und ausgesprochen nett. Die tollen Strände sind zwar nur mit dem Auto zu erreichen, die Anfahrt lohnt sich jedoch. Noch nie haben wir so glasklares Wasser und türkise Farbgebung gesehen. Gerne wieder!

Great Greek experiencia in a comfortable home

Great spot in a nice traditional village, in the mountains, with access to great Ionian beaches in the west part of te island. Marion and Jurgen were supper helpful and friendly hosts. For design lovers the renovated property is a dream with excellent views. Fully equipped kitchen too. We spent a great holiday discovering villages an beaches.... would defenetely go back !

Der Wow Blick

Sehr schönes Ferienhaus-gelungene Mischung aus Altbestand (Bruchsteinhaus) und Anbau. Sehr schöner Wohnküchenbereich mit allem ausgestattet, was man zum Kochen braucht und einer Dachterasse mit sensationellem Blick. Nettes Kafenion etwas unterhalb mit Selfservice-immer gut gekühlte Getränke ☺️. Seehhrrr nette Gastgeber-Marion und Jürgen, vielen Dank für eure Hilfsbereitschaft und eure nette, offene, unkomplizierte Art und die vielen guten Tips!👍🏼 Kleine Minuspunkte: sehr enge Straßen und Zufahrt-zum Glück war das Leihauto nicht so groß . Manchmal wenig Wasser aus der Stadtleitung, aber es gibt eine Zisterne, um Wasser für diesen Fall zu speichern. Alles in allem eine wunderschöne Woche.

Wiedermal traumhaft

Nachdem wir im August 2010 bereits 3 Wochen in diesem tollen Haus verbracht haben, waren wir diesesmal 2 Wochen im Oktober da. Es hat alles gepasst. Zusätzlich zur genialen Lage des Hauses und der perfekten Ausstattung, hatten wir diesesmal fast leere Traumstrände bei einfach super Wetter.

Ein Haus zum Wohlfühlen

Das Haus liegt mitten im kleinen Dorf Kavallos, circa 25 Minuten von Lefkas-Stadt entfernt. Es besteht aus einem sehr schön renovierten alten Haus und einem ebenfalls sehr schönen "Anbau", der in seiner Modernität perfekt zum alten Haus passt. Zwischen beiden Hausteilen gibt es keine direkte Verbindung, das macht es ideal für den Aufenthalt zum Beispiel von zwei Paaren. Unser 15jähriger Sohn fand es ebenfalls super, ein "eigenes Haus" zu haben. Das Haus ist mit wirklich allem, was man braucht und brauchen könnte, ausgestattet. Wohnraum und Küche sind in einem sehr großzügigen Raum, auch dieser ist mit viel Geschmack eingerichtet. Die Terrasse bietet einen schönen Blick bis zum Meer, ist groß und gut möbliert. Wir haben uns sehr sehr wohl und vom ersten Augenblick an zuhause gefühlt. Der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war ebenfalls perfekt - schnelle Antworten, ein Top-Booklet mit Infos zu Haus und Insel und ein sympathischer Kontakt. Tipp für Autofahrer: Am Parkplatz unterhalb von Kirche/Kafenion parken und von dort zu Fuß zum Haus gehen (sind nur ein paar Minuten, kein Problem). Die Fahrt zum Haus selbst ist nur sehr sehr sehr kleinen Autos möglich - wir haben es nicht geschafft. Die Insel Lefkas selbst hat uns gut gefallen, war allerdings in der letzten Augustwoche noch sehr voll, so dass die Strände unangenehm voll waren ... Wir würden daher den Frühsommer oder ab September empfehlen.
