The room was dirty. Bathroom floor was not swept. No privacy or light-omitting curtains in room, so street light and sunlight hindered sleeping. TV remote control batteries were weak. Missing picture hanging on wall. Used washcloth hanging on shower curtain. Blood stain on lampshade. Broken lampshades. Terrible room.
There was no breakfast provided even though the website said free breakfast. We didn’t find out that the kitchen was under construction until we arrived. The bathroom was not fully clean. The commode had a stain ring. No one was at the desk at check in had to Ring the bell and same at checkout. Side out side door would not lock properly. Anyone could enter the hotel from that side without having to swipe a key.

The problem was under renovation which is understandable due to upgrades, but the room was very undesirable. We were there 3 days and from day 1, I was killing roaches in our room. Informed the staff and was told the roaches are coming from the renovation project.
This hotel is right out of the gate of Fort Polk. It has a good free breakfast and McDonald’s is just across the street if you’re looking for something like that. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the place itself is extremely clean and well kept.

The rooms are not bad looking, however cleanliness is not the best. The are very nasty calcium deposits in the shower glass doors, shower head and sink. Makes the whole room feel real dirty. I understand the water in the area might be heavy on calcium but there are cleaning supplies developed to deal with this kinda of stains. Other than that dirty feeling the room was ok.
The staff was friendly & knowledgeable. The facility, which appeared well-kept from the exterior & lobby area, offered less than desirable, boarding. Upon entering/exiting the elevator, we noticed the poor condition of walls, missing tiles & stained carpet. In the bedrooms, both the toilet & tub was badly stained, along with dirt/debris that appeared to be swept into corners, then left behind. The walls were thin & the stinch of aerosol over cigarette smoke lingered throughout.
The room looked clean.but a moldy/paint smell in the room and hallway made it difficult to breath.
Great hotel and staff. Very close to the base. Have enjoyed all of our stays there, at least twice a year for past 3 years.
The staff were courteous and very helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Overall the Hotel was a great value. I would definitely stay again.
