Convenient to everything, however there waa a run down old hotel next to it and a trash pile which just made it sewm sketchy. Hotel and staff very nice and clean. Breakfast was lacking but understandable due to COVID. Only rhing wrong was ths fridge in our room didn't work but we improvised with the ice machine.

Good service, clean areas and relaxing environment.

The hotel confirmed a room with two queen beds weeks ago. Upon arrival, they first argued that my sister and I had booked a room with a king bed. I showed them the hotel reservation and confirmation on Orbitz showing two queen beds. They then told us there were no rooms with queen beds available. We asked if a cot could be placed in the room, and they agreed while charging us $15 additional to sleep on a cot resulting from their booking mistake. They later discounted the cot price from $15 to $10. The hotel was recently renovated, but the wallpaper in the bathroom is already peeling away from the walls. Someone had stapled (??!!) the wall paper to the wall as a cheap temporary fix. Don't stay here.

No complaints here! The hotel is about a 5 minute drive to Ft Polk. It is fairly new and in nice condition. My room was a double queen. It had 2 queen beds, refrigerator, nice bathroom, big TV, and it was very clean. There were even sticky notes on the headboards saying that they wash the sheets and duvet covers for EVERY guest! haahaa The breakfast was pretty good, with a nice assortment of proteins (eggs, omelets, bacon, sausage, etc), plus things like an oatmeal bar, cereals and milk, lots of baked goods, lots of fresh fruit and juice, and some decent coffee. No complaints here! The staff was professional and friendly, and housekeeping does a nice job. They are obviously well trained and work hard. The hotel has a pool, although it was closed since it was so early in the season. There is a fitness room as well, and a 2 computer business center that worked fine. The only challenge I had is that someone tried to break into my rental car in the parking lot. I was parked at the end of the lot, and it was dark and stormy that night. The front desk said they had never had a problem with that before. But, it was a very clean, nice, comfortable place to stay, and the price was less than the La Quinta, although La Quinta is literally 100 yards away from the main gates of Ft. Polk. I would stay here again in a heart beat.
