Outstanding property! The kitchen is the best equipped culinary environment we have ever experienced outside our own home -- a cook's kitchen. The outdoor dining area is spacious and comfortable with choice of charcoal or gas for the bbq -- we used both to enjoy some great steaks we bought from the local market. There are even fresh herbs growing in the garden area (rosemary, mint, bay). Memorable mealtimes. The property is incredibly spacious, with massive indoor dining area and lounge to go with the space outside. The pool is great. Bedrooms spacious and airy. Access to Bois Plage is very easy and quick either by bike (5 mins) or walk (25 mins). Romain looked after us superbly and replaced the fridge straight away when it failed. Fantastic family holiday.

his was first sent to the owner The positives first. Villa Bel Air was the right size and had the right facilities, well situated, for our three-generational holiday on Ile d Ré. The options of inside and outside eating were perfect and we were mostly very lucky with the weather, which enabled us to enjoy the pool. The eclectic furniture and décor are unique! Plenty of bathrooms and WCs My wife and I were proprietors for many years, of a large, 19th century chambres d’hôte house and I just wanted to let you know our thoughts:- As I said on departure to Roman, the agent for changeover, the overall impression though, is of a house that is tired in many respects and in need of love. The kitchen, though large enough, is a bit of a mishmash and the original part distinctly off-putting. The stone sink, though an interesting piece of history, looked a health hazard, so it and the adjacent work surface were not used. The whole house was OK but far from super clean on arrival and it is probably hard to make it so. The house has clearly seen many extensions/changes over the years, with attendant plumbing idiosyncrasies, but for the first five days of our holiday, before a plumber changed some pipework and the vacuum truck paid a second visit, we had blowback of foul-smelling water in two parts of the kitchen when the showers were used. Very nasty. I wanted to send you photos but it doesn’t seem possible through this portal. It was eventually fixed but the interventions m

Brilliant.

All the family loved the villa. Swimming pool and BBQ used throughout the stay. Very good location for all the local amenities and places to visit. Will be back again, particularly as I was unable to come due to injury!

Our family holiday at 466 rue Bel Air

This was a perfect house for our family of 3 adult couples and four children. The pool was great and the garden big enough for the kids to have a lot of fun in. The house was really spacious and well fitted with enough bathrooms - and kitchen equipment! It was very easy to either drive or cycle to the shops ( about one mile distant).

Fantastic villa

This is our second stay in this villa, our group of 9 ranged from 17 to 55yrs. The house is spacious and has everything you could possibly need. Location is great, we cycled the entire island during our stay. Communication with owner and concierge was excellent. We hope to return soon.

A great family locaton with loads of space to find a quiet spot if needed.

The house is beautiful, the pool is fabulous, the eating/relaxing places are plentiful and the location for cycling is central. A cycle for the morning bakery is just 5 mins and a visit to La Flotte, St Martin and Arse-en-Re are musts. This is our second visit to this property and it did not disappoint

Everything was fabulous

As a family of 11 ranging from 8yrs - 70yrs it was everything we could have hoped for to spend quality time together. The house was beautiful and so well equipped. The pool was great and the seating areas were fabulous for breakfast, lunch and evening dinners. We were lucky with the weather and cycling was possible straight out of the front door to go to the beaches or markets. A brilliant location and holiday

A fabulous holiday on the Ile de Re!

The photos of this property simply do not do it justice! The house is beautifully decorated with ample modern bathrooms and everything you could possibly need for a large family gathering which we were. The garden is enchanting with plants and shade if needed and a heated swimming pool which is kept serviced and clean twice a week while we were there. Although we had limited knowledge of the Ile de Re we really appreciated the location which is in a residential area halfway between the small towns of Le Bois Plage and St Martin. Older guests would need a car to drive to these locations and shops whereas our younger members of the family spent most of their time on bicycles(several supplied at the house which might need a little repair but fortunately we had a member of the family able to do that!). We really valued the all inclusive price(cleaning,linen, taxes etc) on booking which makes life much easier. English visitors would need some French in order to understand the instructions about picking up keys but otherwise plain sailing. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and I hope other visitors have as wonderful a time as we had. Carol Norris and family (9 in total)

Das Haus hatte für uns eine sehr gute, Lage, da man in alle Richtungen mit dem Fahrrad gut angebunden ist. Das Auto konnten wir weitgehend stehen lassen. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Es kann gut zehn Gäste beherbergen, wir haben uns aber auch zu dritt und teilweise zu fünft sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Innenhof mit Pool und Garten ist schön angelegt. Manche der Bäder sind nicht mehr ganz neu und weisen in der Dusche deutliche Schimmelflecken auf. Insgesamt war das Haus, wie auch der Außenbereich, nicht wirklich sauber als wir es übernommen haben. Das war schade, da wir am Tag nach unserer Ankunft erst einmal ein paar Stunden geputzt/saubergemacht haben, um uns wohl zu fühlen. Davon abgesehen hatten wir einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt und können das Haus wirklich empfehlen.

Ein wunderbares, geräumiges und schönes Domizil

Wir, sechs Erwachsene, drei Kinder haben uns sehr 2 Wochen lang sehr wohlgefühlt im großen, auch für Kinder geeigneten Haus, in dem alles vorhanden ist, was man für schöne Ferien braucht. Einzige Schwierigkeit: Zur vereinbarten Ankunftszeit war niemand da oder erreichbar, sondern erst sehr viel später.
