Just back from a weekend stay at The Ballygally and was not disappointed. Excellent staff, room and food. A really pleasant short break. So close to all the scenic attractions with some stunning locations. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here recently with my partner and son, this is the 2nd time we have stayed here and it was as good as the first, loved our room and when booking the lady kindly gave us the same room as before, it was a lovely room overlooking the garden, we had been out all day so we were late to order bar food but we did however order room service, our order was very quick, acurate and very tasty, we really enjoyed it, we had a couple of cocktails downstairs in the bar, we were reluctant to go down as there was a wedding going on but in fairness we were able to get a seat and got our drinks quite quickly, our breakfast the following morning was lovely plenty of choice, hot and again very tasty, we enjoyed the whole experience it is such a gorgeous hotel, beautiful gardens, helpful staff especially on the reception, and the food is lovely, a very enjoyable and relaxing experience, cant wait to go back

We stayed in this hotel one night as part of an organized tour. The hotel is relatively new and attached to an old castle which you can partially visit during your stay. The rooms were large and clean. The bathrooms were well maintained. The hotel offered complementary bottle water and ice. Our room faced the ocean so we kept the window open all night to hear and feel the sea breeze. The grounds of the hotel are beautiful and lovely to stroll around. For game of throne fans, there is a show door and a tour if you have a car. A nice place to spend a night.

Went for light lunch. Wasn't great. Ask for roast beef toasted sandwich - got roast pork not toasted Ask for toasted wrap - came not toasted Soup served in a tea cup and Luke warm. Got half pint of Guinness with dash of black currant- £1 for dash Place was full of American visitors but I hope they don't think all our restaurants/hotels are of this quality. Staff were nice but there's a disconnection between them and customers. Place is well worn or just poorly laid out and decorated.

Absolutely <3'd everything about Ballygally Castle Hotel! The location on the tip of the famous Causeway Coastal Route featured breathtaking views of Ballygally Bay and, on a clear day, to Scotland. After an efficient & friendly check-in, we embarked upon our room which hosted a spectacular view of the Bay...very relaxing! The room & bathroom was spacious and nicely updated. An awesome carved door used in the Game of Thrones Series (Door #9) lead us into the dining area where we enjoyed daily hot buffet breakfast that was delicious, hearty & featured traditional Irish fare such as black & white pudding. Evening dinners were 5*. Thoroughly enjoyed strolling through the garden complete with bridge, gazebo, rose garden, little turrets, trout stream & a family of ducks. Right out of a fairytale! Loved the MYSTERY of the "Ghost Tower Room" & the wonderful Irish folklore attached to it! Even enjoyed a "Game of Thrones" inspired Afternoon Tea which featured a wonderful selection of sandwiches, puddings, pastries & traditional Irish tea. The Manager & all of the staff were helpful, accommodating & courteous. Can't wait to return & try a Tower Room!

if you don't need much sleep room 116 its bit like a cupboard sea views if you stand up curtains don't meet bright light from 4 30 am .told reception but nothing done .Breakfast who does not like a Irish breakfast well if you like soda bread that you cant cut (sitting in hot container ) potatoes bread (soggy) need to order your egg as there is only scrambled so don't be in a rush waiting on a egg being cooked in kitchen.Asked for banana none so went to shop bought for my breakfast next morning no fresh fruit!!!!! what a let down we had seeing we had our wedding there (double)me my sister will we be back no try Londonderry Arms just along coast breakfast cooked to order v good also more homely feel about hotel (do great pub lunch tea)Ballycastle not cheap to stay in .v dissapointed

We were at a wedding here in June and we're not disappointed. The food was plentiful and delicious. I would definitely recommend their Sunday lunch. The staff were polite and courteous. The drinks prices were very pricey but it's to be expected at such a lush hotel. Gardens and interior were beautiful. The staff went out if their way to help us even though it was an exceptionally busy day. Hope to return again very soon.

I always try to be fair and informative with any reviews on here, as I understand what is a negative for me may not be for someone else! However, I was extremely disappointed with this hotel especially being part of the Hastings group! When we arrived I thought wow this hotel is beautiful as are the views! As we waited at the bar a lady beside me was complaining to the manager and I thought what could there be to complain about!....I learnt! The rooms are ok but not nice enough considering what they charge! The evening food was over priced and really not very nice! We had a dinner package and paid extra for the steak, which considering it was an extra £8 was not worth it, sub-standard! However, I did think the breakfast was really tasty! I found the service not just in the restaurant but also the bar extremely slow and a lot of the staff apart from reception seemed very uninterested in the guests! We also had further reasons to complain and found the responses from the managers completely unsatisfactory! I wouldn't recommend this hotel to any of my family or friends!

Stopped here with American visitors to have early dinner (6pm)/ high tea. Two options 1. 'Bar 2. Restaurant. We opted for restaurant but this wasn't available unless waiting for 1 1/2 hour wait. Bar menu was very limited and not inviting at all. Atomosphere was not particularly welcoming so we went further along the coast to a well known hotel which was a lot more agreeable.

First thing lovely hotel, staff fantastic especially the lovely lady on the desk. Good car park across the road 30 second walk to the entrance. The first room was really nice a lovely view across the sea, as the hotel does not have air-con it is necessary to have the windows open & that's where the troubles begin. The disgusting smokers stand just outside the main entrance to the hotel to fix their habit & as the first floor room windows swing out & up the bedrooms fill with the disgustingly foul air. When I explained the situation I was told the hotel had tried to make them move away from the entrance in the past but with every new guest comes the same issue. We were immediately move to a suite at the back overlooking the gardens, very nice. But really, in this day & age should this be allow to continue. I am still giving 5 stars because of the staff acting so quickly & they obvious frustration at the mindless, selfish smokers. Will we return, in a heart beat but we will request a room at the rear.
