Golden Tulip Golden Bay Beach Hotel

Nice, clean hotel but certainly not 5*. Facilities are good, as was breakfast and lunch, but not of the quality and variety expected of 5*. Staff were generally polite but the reception and room service staff were curt. I was told I would be charged room service to get a cup of ice brought up to our room- our mini bar was locked. You would expect this to be included at a 5* hotel. Overall the stay was ok, but given the 'sparse' somewhat run down nature of its location, and the points highlighted above- this should be sold as 4* as a maximum.

This Hotel is very old (was there 20years ago already with my parents) and has renovated several times. The Welcome at the Hotel was very nice and supported by outstanding staff at the front desk. My room have a partial ocean view and is absolutly clean. But that the Hotel is generally old you will see at some parts. As a welcome a bottle of wine, water and fruits were waiting for me in the room. Dinner was served as a Buffet which offered not the biggest selection of food, but fresh and tasty. Also the staff in the Restaurant was very nice. During the evening there is live Music in the Lobby Bar. All the drinks are offered in a absoltly moderate price range. Across the street to the Hotel you will find a supermarket and some Restaurants. Your ride from the International Airport will take approx. 20min and cost 30 EUR (flat rate). If you look for a nice hotel close to Larnaca Airport and the City Center, located by the Beach - this is a great spot for some days.

This is a hotel that is close to Larnaca, approximately 9km away, it is about 20 minutes' taxi drive from the airport. The hotel is large and spread out. The rooms are large, quiet and all have balconies facing the sea. There is a lot of storage space for clothes and the bathroom is large as well. The staff members are uniformly friendly and helpful, and will do a lot to make your stay a good one. The hotel has 2 restaurants (though one of them was closed for winter) and a lounge. The food in the restaurant was excellent - the buffet breakfast and dinner were extensive and tasty. There is a large well-equipped gym and 2 pools, though in February the outside pool is a bit too cold! The inner pool is heated. From the hotel it is a 20 minute bus ride to Larnaca city centre (the bus stop is just outside the hotel). To see other sights, the hotel can help book tours for which the bus will pick you up directly in front of the hotel. If you fancy staying at the hotel, you can go for long walks along the beach, or sit on one of the sun loungers right in front of the hotel. Truly this is a great hotel from which to enjoy this

A hotel far from the city, but easily reachable by bus 425 from the airport, the station is just opposite the hotel. The staff is very nice, smiling and always helpful! Great variety at breakfast, but it does not change every day ,. Clean rooms, but in my opinion you can clean up a bit better (preferably the hotel will change the towels from time to time because they are no longer white and these are more gray) I was a little disappointed that children can use the pool only until 14:00, especially on winter days that there is nothing to do outside and a children's club is closed for use. Amazing spa! We did a sports massage and it was perfect !! The experience was all very good! Recommend and we will probably return to this hotel as well.

We booked this hotel for a 3 day stay and it was a good choice. The hotel is located on the beach, close to Larnaka, in a quiet environment. You need a car, or a taxi to move around, since the public transportation (busses) in Cyprus is a joke. Beware of weekends and other public holidays, because bus line 711 (which can take you to Larnaka or Ayia Napa) only comes 4-5 times a day! Taxi is 30 EUR from the airport (fixed price) or 25 EUR to the airport (negotiated). The bus ticket is 1.5 EUR p.p.. Pluses of the hotel: location, cleanliness of the rooms, the evening entertainment in the lobby bar. Minuses: the walls are too thin (we could hear when our neighbours spoke or showered in the morning), breakfast coffee is a filth (it comes out of a cheap automated machine, not from an italian espresso machine, like you would expect in a 4-5* hotel), Plus there were workings going on in the hotel starting 8:30-9 AM (in case you want to sleep longer). We had room 424, with partial sea view.

Five stars’s nice but not quite 5 stars. Big hotel with pools inside and outside, more restaurants, bars. It has a nice terrace at the main restaurant. Rooms are spacoius and quite ok, but in some parts it is old (furniture, carpets, aso). Prices for winter period were ok but I would’t go in full season.

Spent 4 days here in Jan this year. The staff were very welcoming and the hotel has all the modern amenities. Hot tub was a particularly nice treat. My only criticism is around the food. We arrived at 9pm on Saturday night and had the a la carts in the restaurant. The fish was over cooked as were my wife’s prawns. At breakfast, we struggled to get eggs cooked the way we liked them and what sat on the hot plate was more leather than egg. It is a pleasant place to stay, right on the sea shore and perhaps Jan in not the best month to visit, but if you claim a 5 Star accolade, then I think some work still needs to be done on the basics. After all, the prices were 5 Star.In the main, we ate outside of the hotel, but as j say, the facilities and cocktail bar were very pleasant indeed.

Nice hotel near Larnaka. About 15 minutes drive to Larnaka center, also same time will take to arrive to Aiya Napa. Hotel have near by beach and outdoor pool. We didn't use spa facilities but gym have all necessary equipment for any vacation workout. The breakfast was very good, everything fresh. The parking is free. Apartment very comfortable, room design very nice. There are few nice restaurants and cafe in few minutes walk or drive.

I visited for an overnight stay in January (winter). Most of the neighbouring businesses were closed, so a venture into Larnaca was almost mandatory to enjoy the stay. The rooms & staff were very pleasant. Appears all the rooms have sea views. I was fortunate to have a sunrise view over the ocean. Restaurant was good quality & service. Bar was small, comfortable and pleasant with live music/singer. I only have one criticism of the hotel; I requested a late check out of 4pm (knowing the hotel was approx. 90% vacant), they only gave me an extension of a single hour citing (untruthfully) that the room was booked out and that was all they could give me. The refusal didn't bug me so much, but the outright lie did. If they'd extended further - I'd probably have had lunch at the hotel, creating additional revenue. Instead, they kicked me out with a lie - hence this less than positive review.

the location of the hotel was very good in a quiet place far away from all the noise of the city in larnaca ,in matter of fact there is one person at the reception who made it perfect stay for us ,i don't know if i can mention his name ,his name is Faris ,he solved all the problem we had during our stay without any complication and i really mean it coz i i've been traviling all around the world ,one person is enouph to make your stay perfect, apart from that the breakfast was good and the atomospher of the hotel was nice ,we gonna come back for sure because of Faris .
