The rooms (especially the beds) are super comfy, so the main purpose of a hotel visit, a good night's sleep, is 10/10. Great hotel in Lappeenranta. It incorporates its military history well, without it being overbearing. There are good communal facilities including a games room, children's room and coffee area. Breakfast was of a high quality. The rooms were well appointed and excellent bathroom facilities.

Hotel Rakuuna was lovely and quiet. Walk around the historic buildings and down to the lake was pleasant Staff were friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen stocked everything and kept clean However, after leaving we discovered we had left a cloth bag under the desk in our room. We were happy to pickup on return however the staff advised they didnt find it. This was disappointing to hear as we know it was left there. Lucky there was nothing valuable in it.
