Stayed here for three nights whilst visiting colleagues in the area. The hotel is comfortable clean and an easy drive free m Dublin. The breakfast was enjoyable with a good selection. Traveling on business and using here as a base the free wifi was quick and stayed connected with no issues. Would happily use again and no doubt i will.
From start to finish a great experience,Aedaoine is exceptional and was typical of our experience, helpful with taxis, restaurants and upgrading our rooms, all with a smile. The bar and restaurant was also a good experience with the breakfast manager on the ball. Many thanks,George
Stayed there for a night for a family occasion, we had lunch in the bar, service a tad slow but food was nice, we had dinner in the restaurant and it was lovely, service was great. Finished off the night in the bar but was disappointed as there was no entertainment on at all and bar was near empty. Breakfast was self service and was delicious
Booked a family room for the bank holiday and delighted I picked the killeshin. Staff very friendly, rooms clean. We requested a cot bed which awaited us when we arrived in the room. Great leisure facilities. Will definitely return.
One sounds such a curmudgeon grumbling about wedding guests....it's a celebration so why should they be expected to be treading lightly? The problem comes when a hotel charges over €100 per night and one cannot sleep as revellers are outside, at the front of the hotel until 3-4 in the morning? If the Killeshin wishes to accomodate business travellers & weddings they should be way more sensitive to the needs of those needing a good night's kip - after all, that's the bare minimum a good hotel should offer.
Stayed here for two nights in May, Hotel is nice and clean and the staff are so friendly, they could not do enough for you. Food was excellent and there is a small bar beside reception which is fine for a quite drink or chat. Great value and worth a visit.
except for delivering my chicken dinner way beyond what was acceptable I think .. ( my group already were into dessert) other restaurants won’t bill you for that anymore .. since we were in a group tour .. and according to them one person declined his fish dish and went for the chicken instead .. still I would have expected a little bit more effort .. Despite it being a busy night with most tables filled .. after saying that .. the accommodations were good .,the mattress firm .. bedsheets clean and fragrant .. albeit the hallway carpet needing a little shampoo.. 3rd floor .. breakfast was also good ..
I stayed in the hotel recently and was very happy with the standard of the hotel and the service provided by the staff. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. All was going well until at breakfast the restaurant manager came into to the restaurant and started shouting and using bad language towards the waitress. In truth, she was working on her own and was under pressure to serve around 30 people on her own. She was very friendly and helpful, and while service was a little slow it was obviously not her fault. I am a manger myself and would never dream of swearing at my staff. To do it in private is bad enough, but do curse at staff in front of customers is appalling. I feel bad for the waitress having to work there under such a terribly unprofessional and disrespectful restaurant manager. The manager not only turned me off my breakfast, but turned me off staying in this hotel.
Stayed here on a Saturday night; like its companion “SO” hotel in Lough Rea in Galway I found it pretty ordinary. Bedroom was comfortable and quiet but the dining room was cramped and service at dinner very slow. Dinner was fine but breakfast was poor - mainly canned fruit with minimal cereal and tired looking fried food. Staff seemed disempowered and there was nowhere to grab a coffee before 12.30 on a Sunday. Located a good walk from town, I found the Killeshin an uninspiring stay, and not exactly good value.
Good bar food menu on offer which should satisfy the most tastes. Funny one is that they had a Guinness Burger, however I had the Steak Sandwich that was really good. I followed this with dessert as did my colleague and we both agreed that the desserts were fab, we followed the dessert with lovely coffee. The bar became busy, all for food which is good sign. You might ask why not 5 stars, I docked it a star for the price which wasn’t outrageous however €14:50 for a real sandwich is a little more than what it should be , any dessert priced at over €5 in a bar setting is taking advantage of the customer. The dessert was tasty !
