Following a family bereavement we had to totally change our booking on a few occasions. This was never a problem and Lisa was extremely kind and tolerant of this. The hotel itself is beautiful. The pool is amazing. We travelled with 4 small children between the ages of 7 months and 10 years. Our 10 yr old has Autism but the hotel met every one's needs and I would definitely recommend it.
Busy well run Hotel with friendly attentive staff. Small issue with the projector cable but had a great hot lunch with plenty of veg. They have a varied menu but no matter what you order you will be satisfied. This place is easy to get to and sufficient parking even for a busy place. There was a nice buzz about the place but they never appeared to be too busy or rushing too much. Well done Killeshan I’ll be back!
Rooms are clean and tidy with pleasant service attentive staff. Food is good with very attentive service. Good meeting room venue with ample parking. WiFi very good and business staff very accommodating. Reasonable prices
Stayed here while at a conference and was extremely impressed with most aspects of the hotel. We had agreed a rate of €75 for the night and factoring that in, it really was exceptional value. The hotel is located just off the M7, easy parking and very nice lobby area. The room was huge and the beds comfy. Bathroom is fine. The bar food was very tasty but the drink selection was poor. Craft beer was terrible. Breakfast the next day was lovely. We rented meeting rooms which were well located within the hotel and was also given to us at a good rate. Overall, would definitely recommend if considering for a meeting or conference.
We held our sisters Sheila’s 60th Birthday get together at the Killeshin on the 24th November 2017 and what a weekend we had. I had asked the hotel for a large room as we wanted to have a surprise get together before the meal. They gave me room 301, which was ideal for surprise get together as guests arrived. The service and staff were terrific and the food on Saturday night was excellent. We had some overseas visitors who were equally impressed. The staff at the hotel were fantastic, such professionalism. A special mention to Emma who was on reception when we arrived and gave us such a warm welcome. I look forward to a return visit to the Killeshin
Location is ideal (heartlands of Ireland) however it’s 4 star rating is questionable Little things: posters of directions on the walls to reception. Staff walking around on their phones etc Stayed here on an overnight for business and the breakfast was extremely poor. The sausages and puddings were very disappointed. We were there for a conference >100+ people and they were not equipped for it
Lovely room clean modern and fresh. Busy bar with good atmosphere in the evening. Used the swimming pool in the morning- they had children’s swimming lessons on the Saturday morning but used that as an excuse then to use the Jacuzzi!
Spacious room well appointed and spotless. Good sized bathroom. Comfortable bed. Really good restaurant with good range of dinner options. Very good breakfast. Helpful staff at reception. Main road location easy to find. We were delighted to find such a lovely place to stay especially at a really competitive price.
The Killeshin hotel is a great hotel with everything you could ask for in a hotel and fantastic prices..Myself and my girlfriend stayed here in September just for a night away as a treat...we loved the hotel straightaway...there is plenty of parking, the rooms are very spacious and have everything you need for your stay...the hotel bar and restaurant is great, with great variety of food...its only a short taxi journey into port laoise for all the local bars and restaurants, which there are plenty to choose from...Must say we really liked this hotel and would fully recommend it to anyone thinking of visiting port laoise...
Stayed here for two nights at a reduced rate for Friday and Saturday night for a work conference in the hotel and locality with a friend. We were running very late on Friday night due to car issues and rang ahead to ensure they knew we were checking in very late. Upon arrival no one was at the desk but I rang the hotel number and they came out to us straight away. We didn't use the Wifi as we had data, but I'm sure it freely available as was parking. There was underground parking with lift access from the hotel rooms floor which was very convenient. Upon arrival to the room it was spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable, and there was tea and coffee as usual, and complimentary biscuits. The bathroom was very bright and had a huge bathtub/shower with bubble bath which was so relaxing after a long day on Saturday. My only complaint was that we had to wait to be seated for breakfast on Sunday for at least 20 minutes before we could go in as they were so busy. We did arrive about half an hour before it is supposed to finish but it was a Sunday so we did want to sleep in and definitely did not expect to have to wait to be seated for breakfast! In any case staff weren't rushing trying to get us to finish up quickly or anything and kept refilling the food past their alleged closing time, even the hot food such as pancakes which were delicious! Breakfast had an excellent selection of hot and cold foods which I couldn't fault really. I can't wait to come back for our conference this time next year and bring appropriate clothes to make use of the gym, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and pool!
