Stayed for a week at the end of April. The hotel is fabulous, very modern and spotlessly clean. Our room was lovely, we had requested a quiet room and that was exactly what we got, with a private terrace. Very comfy bed and nice spotlessly clean bathroom. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were excellent. (We didn't have our evening meals at the hotel so can't comment). It was my birthday whilst we were there, we went out for the day and later returned to our room to find a complimentary bottle of cava and birthday cake, which made my day! Thank you to the hotel for that! We are already looking forward to our next stay, hopefully very soon!
The staff - at all levels and in all services - is great and has attention to care. Always at the guests' attention. Muchas gracias a todos! Breakfast and pool bar with lots of choices. Not tested the à la carte restaurant.
This hotel is just stunning. We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary here. We emailed in advance & asked for a top floor room OMG they very generously upgraded our room. We had the room with a hot tub. The views are lovely. The rooms are very spacious & spotless clean as are the grounds which are very colourful. The staff are very helpful especially the guest relations manager she organised our anniversary meal & it was just delicious I definitely would recommend trying the a la carte restaurant. Chill out area is great especially after a big buffet breakfast & in the evening listening to lovely music with a cocktail - wishing we were there right now.
From the moment we arrived we loved the place. Impressive unusual decor, beautifully maintained gardens with an astonishing collection of plants and shrubs, well equipped suites with unusual features, cleaned daily and some nights the fabulous bed was turned down and and a gift of a chocolate each! The only grumble was that although tea and coffee making facilities were provided, after the first bottle of water we had to buy our own!
We have just returned following a week away without our little children.. on arrival the hotel was architecturally striking with some wonderful local stone and aluminium forms of art which also formed the roof. We booked a pool room junior suite and we were very impressed with the size of the room (separate bedroom / sitting area and very large shower room with botanical plantation). We also booked half board which was well worth the money - breakfast was well prepared and you could request fried eggs / omelettes etc if needs be. Evening meal - there are two restaurants, a Buffett style restaurant with a very good standard of choice - streak cooked to order/ king prawns etc. If you really want a treat pay 15.00 euros a head and dine in the al a carte restaurant - exceptional food and service, amazing aesthetics- we went often !! The pool has massive comfy beds to lounge on and a snack bar serving cocktails / beverages ( reasonable prices €7.00 for a large beer and cava). We attended he wellness spa and I had a facial and deep tissue massage which was very relaxing, you can use the jacuzzi and sauna / steam after if you wish. All in all a very enjoyable experience - if you want to stay solely in a hotel for a week and just relax then this is ideal. We did not think much to Puerto del carmen ( tatty English pubs). We did get the water taxi to Puerto calero where there are some designer shops ( limited range) and nice yachts. We would just say one thing - their is a dress code for men in both restaurants - long trousers which we were not made aware of, so pack long trousers if you want to dine in the evening.
The hotel is small and friendly, exceptionally clean and the rooms are amazing. The service is excellent and there is nothing I can fault about this hotel. The food is good although we only ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel and didn't get the chance to try the restaurant. We will definately be going back!
My wife and I have been to this hotel 3 times since its opening in 2015 very clean very comfortable and the staff are always brilliant and will do anything to help make your stay special, from the manager to the customer relations, to the restaurant and the bar down to the cleaners, who work very hard. The rooms are all suites, very comfortable beds, with walk in showers, 2 restaurants, buffet and al a carte, some light entertainment towards the weekends, nice little gym, and a wellness centre. Great location to get around the island with a very good bus service just outside the hotel. We have only just come home and wish we were back there Hope to see you all next year, thank you all.
This hotel is brilliant, the staff are particularly good! Management can always be seen, greeting guests at dinner etc. We stayed in an excellence Atlantic suite, located on the top floor near the restaurant, it had fantastic views and was spacious and well equipped with everything you would expect from a boutique hotel. However all the rooms are lovely so it really doesn't matter which room you stay in. It wouldn't bother me to have a top floor room next time. We stayed half board and the food was delicious every day. We tried the Al a carte restaurant one evening and again it was delicious. The sun beds are super comfy and the waiter service is perfect. The staff really cannot do enough for you and are a true asset to this hotel. The hotel is completely mixed, old, young, family's and same sex couples, it really does appeal to all, which is great. I think if you appeal to everyone you are onto a winner. This family owned boutique hotel is the best in Lanzarote and Puerto Del Carmen is a fantastic place with lots of places to see, things to do, including water sports, shopping and a decent zoo (with mini water park! So take your swimmers). We tend to try different places and hotels, however this one we would recommend and would return to. Not really any negatives other then the gym is small and extremely hot and the pool is a little shallow for my liking! But this is me been really picky. The spa pool makes up for this 😁
I have travelled the world and have stayed in some incredible hotels so I feel I can give an completely impartial and truthful review. Having looked on the internet for a quick break away this hotel kept popping up. Fast forward we booked. On arrival which was late due to a flight delay we were greeted by a very nice young man who checked us in, completely impressed with his speed and professionalism as he could see we were both tired. On arrival to the room we had been left a light supper which was very thoughtful. The rooms are everything that the photographs depicted, spacious modern with a contemporary feel. The bathroom has live plants growing within a garden with a glass roof top I personally didn't like this as when looking up to the glass roof I could view people sunbathing the following day so the assumption being I can see them they can see me...which made me slightly paranoid I actually sent my husband up the the chill out area to make sure I couldn't be seen showering, toilet etc.Lol, I couldn't, but he could see me at the wash basin so I was always careful just in case. We could also hear every conversation from other guests who used the area closest to our glass roof. Which brings me too the chill out area one word fabulous and chill out you WILL we loved it. Swimming pool and the surrounding seating sun beds etc good although if the hotel was to full capacity it might struggle to accommodate all it's guests. But in fairness I believe they are working to rectify this. Food, which is a very important part of everyone's holiday this I feel is purely personal what one person likes another won't. They have 3 eating areas the 1st the restaurant which services both breakfast and evening meal. The service is impeccable cannot be faulted on any level.. breakfast excellent wide variety to choose I would defy anyone who said they didn't like it. Dinner /evening meal again wide choice too suit all palates maybe a little repetitive. Al la Carte which we booked one night for a change at approx 8pm the restaurant is beautifully furnished quite impressive but unfortunately although the food was very good it lacked other diners in total 5 people that's including us, at a guess it perhaps has covers for 80. It just didn't hit the spot for us.. I think they need to review this other holiday makers we spoke too had the same thoughts. Empty restaurants mean no revenue. I feel they are missing out immensely. If you want a holiday for a total chill out this hotel is for you early nights as there is absolutely nothing here for evening entertainment i.e no late bars etc. Although Puerto Del Carmen is a 10min walk to the sea front plenty of bars etc it wasn't for us. A big thank you goes too all the staff they really are so customer focused actually making sure the service they provide is a quality one and it is 100% cannot fault them on any level. Importantly would we go back... we definitely would but only for a short break. If they thought about making an area with bar so that guests can have a late drink, play cards or just chat in comfortable surroundings, that really would make your hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to stay longer.
I stayed at this hotel last October and due to the fantastic time I had there I returned for a week earlier this month. I was given as I had requested the same room I stayed in last year only to find a chilled bottle of cava and chocolates provided by the staff. I cannot praise this hotel enough : the location, cleanliness, the facilities but above all the staff. From the cleaners to the management , all were extremely friendly and efficient but Eduardo in the pool bar was ' the tops '. Breakfast is delightful and the food in the a la carte restaurant is superb. I cannot praise this hotel enough.
