We've just returned having stayed for a week here. The hotel is brilliantly located by the beach, a short walk to shops and great for plane spotting. Even though it was busy we always got sunbeds (without having to get up extra early) by the pool. Personally I did not like the location of the main restaurant. It felt like we were in an underground bunker, I don't understand why you would have it underground and miss using the wonderful beach location to enhance the dinning experience. It was dull and dreary. As for the food, well if you are a meat eater you'll be fine. If you are a vegitarian, don't go to this hotel. My family and I have been going to all inclusive hotels for years and being a vegitarian has not been an issue. While I don't expect to have a wide range of choice in such places I do expect to have one hot option other than over cooked veg. And we need protein from more than just veg. One night they had a soya stew which was brilliant. On the same night they had a chickpea salad (also lovely). But that was it for the week. The next night they added meat to the chickpeas. Another night they had meat mixed with spinach. I ate too many eggs for breakfast and lunch just to feel satisfied. There were no vegi options in the Chinese (other than rice). It's so easy to make a tofu Chinese curry. I don't understand why vegetarians are being so neglected here. And to make matters worse most of the food on displayed have no signs indicating if it was vegetarian or not. Or if there are any allergy issues. Please please put up appreciate food signs in front off all your food. One night I ate what I was lead to belive was savoury rice only to find a mild fishy taste off it. Turned out it had some kind of shrimp in it. The signage did not indicate this. The animation team were great. Worked hard and always happy. My last grip is not with the hotel but with some guests. The hotel loan out golf clubs to play in yhe mini golf. For two days the clubs were not returned by the same guests. This just pure selfish. If you are going to take the clubs just return them after use sothers can play as well. Would we return here? As it stands now, no. If they catered for vegies (as I said, one warm meal at dinner would be great) then yes.
With two kids 9and 15 we truly enjoyed our stay. Lovely food and so much choice! Very clean overall and super nice staff. Lots of activities offered and wide range of evening entertainment. Beach so close! Airport few mins away but uou wouldnt mind planes while relaxing at the pool. Highly recommend.
Had a wonderful weeks stay at this hotel. After a ten minute coach transfer from the airport we were swiftly checked in by very helpful reception staff and showed to our room. The room itself was absolutely spotless and contained everything we needed along with a balcony which had a full sea view. The food was outstanding, best all inclusive we’ve ever had, something for everyone. Wine and spirits very good although you do pay for your drinks in the piano bar, having said that this wasn’t a problem for us as we knew this before we booked. Not usually interested in the entertainment but visited every evening, very enjoyable.Top marks to the Beatriz for its friendly, hard working staff. Can’t wait to return

We spent a week here at the end of March 2018. Reception: Lovely helpful staff, all of whom had brilliant English (I heard them also talking in other languages and was suitably impressed too). Check in was quick, our room wasn't quite ready when we arrived, having had an early flight but Irene (?) was very helpful in directing us to the restaurant to have some food whilst we waited. Room: Beautifully clean. Not a speck of mould in the bathroom, clean, crisp sheets and adequate blankets/covers for the time of year. I had a peek under the bed (always a tale -tell sign) and nothing to be seen there either. The balcony was a good size and we had a partial sea view, but a lovely view over the gardens also. Only downside, there were 3 of us and only 2 chairs on the balcony. Pool: Spotless. The staff obviously work hard to keep this area free of litter, especially with it being so windy the plastic cups had a tendency to blow away and not everyone picked theirs up, but by 6pm when most guests were leaving to get dinner, the staff obviously worked tirelessly to keep he ground free of litter and the pool was spotless (and heated which was lovely too!) Restaurants: This is the only place where I felt 5* wasn't appropriate, and hence why gave a 4* review. The food was tasty, delicious and the chefs worked hard to give a good choice and variety every night. The breakfasts were amazing. We had a small issue in the Italian that was resolved quickly and the Oriental was pretty good standard too. My 4* stars were because I was disappointed with the burger bar. The fish and chips, being English were not what I expected from fish... it was more like fish nuggets, with fish flavour inside, but we decided that once was enough and so didn't venture back there, the other food quality easily made up for one disappointing meal. Bars: The drinks were good quality (not leading named brands, but still good, and not watered down like some hotels. Our son loved the non-alcoholic San Francisco, and the availability of filled rolls, cakes and biscuits on the bar in the afternoon was good. Entertainment: Fabulous standard for family shows and the animation team worked really hard to entertain the kids and they looked like they were having a blast. Nice touches: Thank you for the fruit basket and Fizzy wine in our room for my husbands birthday - totally unexpected and a lovely gesture. A couple of things I mentioned to Jo, on the last evening I hope have been taken into account.... my son was the boy who managed to squeeze behind the Perspex divide behind the lift near the entertainment area. We were just sat watching him a little bit too far back to get to him before he got in and out in about 2 minutes, Thank God safely or this would have been a very nasty accident. Aside from that incident, it was a fabulous week. Your staff obviously work extremely hard and are a credit to the hotel - each and everyone, those front of house and behind the scenes.
Just got back from a week’s stay at the Beatriz Playa & Spa with my partner. I was worried about what to expect after reading a mixture of bad reviews and good reviews before going, but it was lovely!! We stayed in a superior room with a partial sea view and could not fault it. The room and bathroom was nice, modern & clean. The hotel itself was nice & clean also. We didn’t experience all the restaurants and bars in the hotel but the restaurant buffet was fine. All staff were lovely (not just in the restaurant but all over the hotel) and we found the food to be always hot. The only thing we found disappointing was the lack of variety of food. The food for lunch and dinner each day were the same except for a couple changes of dishes. That being said, the food was still nice. The free bar was good and the drinks were lovely (the cocktails are really nice). The entertainment was really good and always something different each night. Overall we had a lovely stay & will hopefully look to book again. Would definitely recommend!
Comfortable hotel room I was in had been modernised to a very good standard. Very comfortable. Hotel staff all grades very helpful and polite at all times nothing too much trouble for them. Excellent. Dining howrver was not very good too many people to fit in to dining area. Food was just a bit mediocre too much of the same thing every day and vhips with everything.Disapppointing ate out on several occasions. Bar was not good eithet wr tended yo go to piano bar snd pay for our drinks.,as we had to wait in a queue at other bar.
Stayed here for a week 18th-25th even thou the wind was a bit nippy it still didn't put us off. We had 2 superior rooms 1019 and 1020 which had recently been referbished and I must say they were lovely hotel itself was very clean and staff polite and helpful . Even thou you are so close to the airport we didnt take much notice of the noise from the planes landing and taking off . food was good dont think ive eaten as much steak in my life 😂 good alcohol to . yes there were birds in the dining areas but thays somethibg you cant help overall we had an amazing holiday and will definatly return in the future .
Stayed for 2 weeks all inclusive. 2 adults, 2 kids (8/12) Easter holidays (end March into April). Hotel. Got a refurbished room. Adequate, well cleaned. Fresh towels daily etc. Safe not included. Our fridge was open so we used it to keep drinks cool. Rainfall shower excellent. No bath. Tea and coffee facilities. Tv (majority Spanish or other European). Room on 1st floor, unfortunately at entertainment side. Very noisey with acts and music up until around midnight. Nearly moved rooms but was told it wouldn’t be refurbed and they couldn’t do straight away. We’d unpacked and so didn’t bother. This is the left hand side of the building as viewed from beach. I can’t imagine too many rooms this side get away with noise levels at night. Patio door has horrendous noise when opening and closing, metal scraping on metal. Pools One very cold. Other warmer. Plenty of loungers but struggled in second week to get one when hotel had filled up-get up early! Clean enough. Drinks Crap little plastic cups. Literally 1/3 pint of beer around pool area. Beer ok tho. Plenty of spirits and cocktails, just need to get rid of the little plastic cups-surely there’s something bigger!!? One of the bars is not included in all inclusive. Pointless. Food Ok. You won’t go hungry, but I’ve had way better. Buffet- Sometimes not as hot as it should be. Some wait staff rude, some good. Chinese can be booked mon and tues I think-enjoyed this and would recommend. Pizzeria was sat and sun I believe, not impressed and very similar to buffet. 2 weeks too much, ended up eating out for a change! Location Hotel at very quiet end. Airport close but planes did not bother us at all. Very small shopping area 5 mins away with a few restaurants and bars. Was ok for a change. The centre is about 4 to 5 miles away and was way better. Bars/restaurants etc plentiful and beach was a lot better too. At the back of this hotel you can get out at the right hand side (past pools and mini golf) through swipe card gate. Beach across road/bike track. High tide meant no beach and quite rocky as well. If beach is important, go nearer centre. Staff As mentioned, some good and some rude. My wife fell and twisted her ankle/cut hand knee. A man from reception gave her a band aid and left her on floor. Luckily and English lady helped her up and came and found me to tell me. Extremely poor. Wi-fi One communication area. Went down a couple of days. Asked at reception to be given a shrug of shoulders as to when it would be fixed. Poor! Don’t rely on it! IMPORTANT: Keep your room card key away from your mobile phone as it wiped the details so you can’t get back in room!!!!!!again, reception didn’t tell us this but looked at us stupid when I asked them to fix our card keys. Doubtful we would stay here again. Was ok, and weather was very good-upto 27oC on a couple of days and wind died down. Maybe return to Puerto Del Carmen for a week and nearer centre. They say this is 4 star. It’s not. It’s a 3.
The hotel wings east and west are open courts (roofless) each end on 3 levels and echoes every sound. The birds start chirping around 5.30am, kids stomping, cleaners trolleys kitchen staff getting ready for breakfast in the morning at 06.45. Not really a place of peace when you want a lay in after a night out. plenty food with in house buffets are good and a couple of bars. The pools are clean but are mostly for the kids with pool side DJs through the day and loads of screaming, again not a relaxing place. The rooms are clean but tired looking. My room had squeaky French doors that rattled and squeaked when the wind got up so I had to jam it each evening with bits of paper to get some peace. Some bleach in the toilet would have been nice instead of a urine smell every day. The Spa was the best part of the hotel thanks to Cathaysa (very kind & helpful, thank you, your a credit to the hotel) and colleagues. The treatments were excellent so much so I had three in the week I stayed. The girls have magic hands!. The other spa facilities, sauna, steam room, Jacuzzi, hydro pool etc was good with comfy loungers to relax after a massage (shame that as a guest, if you didn't have treatment then its £12 to use it)
