the hotel was actually better than expected clean and tidy rooms spacious the food was excellent with a wide and varied choice for every meal service at the bars was excellent and very fast staff were all very pleasent good all round hotel in a nice area local bars a few hundred yards away I was ab bit concerned after reading other reviews but personally don't know what they were complaining about ? entertainment was the only down side there was quiz type shows a couple of nights but on other nights there was an acrobatic show that's not to be missed and a bee gees show
My daughter, son in law n 2 grandchildren have just got back from this hotel and loved it, food was good with plenty of choice, kids club was great, entertainment every night, rooms cleaned everyday, friendly staff. They were in rm 1038. Kids loved it that much they're going back next year.
We stayed all inclusive here end off may 2017 not a 4 star no way food was cold most nights rooms just plane and boring and the kids club well we left are son in here to come back and find he was not there and then took 20 minutes in finding him told the reception and they never said a lot . Management came up to say sorry but that not enough I left him in there trust and they can't be bothered to watch him. Had to pay in the Chinese restaurant to use this only really one place to eat mainly will not go back after this I would say 2 star 3 at push should also have been told that there was work going on in this hotel to make it better I don't expect to hear drilling at 8 o'clock in the morning when I'm laying in bed but it is a nice size hotel and the pools was nice so was location just shame about the lack of staff and also they just need to sort this out
I've only been here 4 nights so far but the kids are loving it! Don't know why people say there are no plug sockets as there are around 4 spread out randomly in the room! You do need to pay for the fridge but can buy a drinks package for 25 euro and get the fridge for free and a pass for the spa! Food is the same as any all inclusive I have been to! The only thing that lets it down is evening entertainment but other people might love the entertainment! There's a shopping centre down the road and a further 5 min walk takes you into playa Blanca which is lovely
Where do I start.......the good points there isn't any.....bad points well where do I begin..... Food terrible Balcony lights shut off at midnight Entertainment team a joke unless your Spanish then they will do anything and everything for you Rooms disgusting we got changed three times Reps don't have a clue That's just a the beginning a more detailed review will be done once home still got another week in this awful place
Arrived with a warm welcome the reception are great professionals with a warm smile. From there on downhill rapidly. The room was very poorly cleaned dust every where, blood on the curtains. The Veranda door track covers in filth. The fridge was locked when we eventually got them to open it, it had not been cleaned in ages stained every where. Only 1 electric plug in the bedroom next to the tv. None near the beds. We asked for extra pillows 3 times stained inside the covers. Very poor service the food looked like Icelands seconds. The whole place needs refreshing as flakey pain on all the walls.so dissatisfied.
After reading some mixed reviews I was a bit worried but decided to put them aside and see what happens but me and my family had an amazing time. This is our last day and we can't wait to come back. Food: Food was warm and plentiful there's always a nice selection all the waiters/waitresses were friendly special thanks to Victor who my yougest son adored he was always so friendly and welcoming and made the time to high five and speak to my children. Room: we stayed on the 1st floor with a huge baloney and pool view, wasn't a refurbished room but was clean and tidy and more than enough room for my husband and I and our 3 children. Maids came in everyday with new towels, and made the beds. Only problem is the floor could of been cleaner I imagine the type of tile isn't easy to clean though. The hotel itself is huge with lots of amazing little features dotted around, the pool was cleaned daily in the morning and in the evening plenty of sunbeds only proplem was shade could do with a few portable parasols that could go over the beds that don't have grass parasols over them. The animation team where the best I've seen my youngest son adored Tapi and we couldn't leave today without a Tapi teddy. The team always put on amazing show and all the kids loved there energy. Overall we will be back and we can't wait, yes you have to pay for fridge, safe and WiFi but I didn't pay for any and got through the week nicely. Could do with more shade in pool area with more parasols as I've said but that's it Thank you to all the staff for an amazing holiday.
I booked hotel for my parents for their wedding anniversary. They returned from holiday and they said Hotel is on nice location.Great food, rooms nice and clean daily.Food was nice.Overall all service was good. Definitely going back.
If you are looking for good value then this hotel is perfect. However, if you are expecting luxury all-inclusive then pay the extra and go elsewhere. We stayed in a superior partial sea-view room. You could not see the sea from the room but could from the balcony which was large enough for two people to sit out on and caught the sun most of the day. Good Points: - Food was mainly hot, there was quite a good variety and there were vegetarian options (although this got repetitive and mainly consisted of potatoes, pasta and pizza!). There is also ice cream available all day in the pool bar area and some doughnuts/rolls/cakes that are available in the afternoon - The hotel Italian restaurant (which is free but requires a reservation) was lovely. Freshly cooked pizza, pasta, vegetables and nice desserts - Location is great, there are a number of shops/restaurants/bars/cafes/supermarkets within a 10 minute walk and then even more about 20 mins away. Also a bus stop within 15 min walk which has a bus to the market. - The superior rooms were very modern, bright and spacious - The hotel is kept very clean, particularly the pool area which has a team of ladies who spend all day cleaning this! - Reception staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. They let me practice my Spanish with them and spoke nice and clearly :) - The spa was beautiful, worth the 12 Euro's! - Pool area is nice and it was fairly easy to get a sunbed all day - Beach is very close, empty and well kept - Although I don't have children, the entertainment team seemed to do a fantastic job. They were always friendly and enthusiastic - even when being pulled over on the dancefloor by children climbing all over them! Points you may wish to consider: - The alcoholic drinks in AI did not seem very alcoholic and the cocktails were not as you would get in a more 'luxury' hotel - They are made from a slush machine and there are only a few you can choose from. - Birds do come into the restaurant and peck at bread/pastries/cakes and leftover food - You have to pay for 'extras' such as the mini fridge and safe. - The entertainment for children goes on until quite late and even when the adult entertainment starts, it's quite difficult to get a seat where you can see this as the room is still full of children. - The wifi is useless. Despite paying 20 Euro's for access, we could only get this on our balcony and a certain area by the pool! All in all, this is a good value but non-luxury all inclusive. If you are looking for cheap and cheerful in a good location, then this hotel will be fine. If you are expecting branded alcohol and a la carte dining, then this is not for you. Muchas gracias al personal - disfrutamos la semana pasada en Hotel Beatriz Playa!
Having read the reviews posted here I was extremely worried about my family holiday here!! I am currently still here and can honestly say we are having a ball!! Rooms are immaculate yes there is renovations going on but we haven't heard any noise from the workmen. Yes you are close to airport and the planes come in and out on a regular basis, we have thoroughly enjoyed watching this and the kids have had hours of fun watching this. Again the noise is not an issue and the planes begin around 8 am and stop early evening. The food is of a high quality and there is plenty of choice and I am a very fussy eater but have always found something I have enjoyed, hubby and kids devour everything in sight, the Italian restaurant is a must its fabulous. Staff in all areas are always friendly and helpful service is always with a smile. We don't spend much time at the pool as we love the beach however any time we have spent there kids have loved it, pool is heated and pool area clean and tidy. I will definitely be returning and would recommended this hotel to anyone. Matagorda itself is a beautiful place, nice and quiet and full of families and couples La Barrica is a lovely little beach front bar worth a visit lovely food, staff and reasonable prices.
