visited in november 5th to 10th, visit twice a year, used to be 4 times a year but we consider the dinners have suffered for whatever reason (not as good as they used to be}. however the buffet is a remarkable improvement on self service, well prepared and hot and varied, no longer use the caberet as the its the same old singers and comedians time after time. I can recite Carl Schofields act from start to finish, entertainment research is required surly blackpool has more entertainers to offer? roms are immaculately clean, the staff consist of mainly imported labour and they are very polite and helpful. reception is the let down..too slow...customers queue in a row that blocks the hotel entrance and are herded like sheep in a pen until the checking begins. worst check in system we have ever encounted and we use a lot of hotels.the cliffs is a lovely hotel, management could be improved upon, there is so much more potential in the business that has not been observed.
The Cliffs is a very friendly hotel, its clean, good food, good entertainment, and the staff are very friendly, nothing is too much trouble for them, the restaurant is very clean, the food is great and the staff very attentive to your needs, there is only one thing that could be better and that is parking facilities, this hotel seems limited for car spaces, but that does not stop me from going back time after time.
Overall very good weekend food was excellent especially the buffet breakfast, the let down was the supervision of children by parents, playing on stage with live equipment unsupervised use of lifts and running around, the management should take some blame for allowing it to happen , something to be said for adults only weekends, kids have to enjoy themselves but safely and with supervision. Apart from that nice stay
had a fantastic weekend at the cliffs. super staff great rooms very clean and the food was one of the best we have had for the price. lots to do and the entertainment was very good. we hope to be back very soon.
The bedroom was ok with a side sea view. It was very clean. Feel the hotel could do with refurbishing, especially the dining room. Lovely starters and deserts but I was disappointed with main menus. I had braising steak the first night and it was very overcooked, so much so that it curled up round the edges. I had haddock the next night and here again it was overcooked. We have been here a few times and usually food acceptable. Some parents kept their children up past the nineoclock curfew. Some of the children were getting on the dance floor, one child was jumping from chair to chair.
We stayed at The Cliffs for 4 nights from 16th to 20th October. This is our third visit to this hotel and we were once again very happy with our stay. We had a lovely corner room with sea view, which was spacious and looked as though it had been recently re-decorated. Breakfast was plentiful and the serving staff were pleasant and attentive. There is entertainment every evening and bar prices are reasonable. We shall certainly be back!
Good food, lovely room, excellent entertainment, singer and comedian every night, plus about 1/2 hour bingo. This hotel is warm and comfortable, and the food is excellent, with a good choice on the buffet. 10 of us had a great stay,
Stayed here for 5 days in October. Premises are a bit tired and the bedrooms were very small but everything was clean. We had intended to eat out but the food and staff were excellent. Swimming pool was nice but tended to get very busy
Visited early Sept with family which includes my wheelchair-dependent mother in law. As there are no bedrooms on the ground floor, all less ambulant guests have to use the tiny lift. This results in a large queue in the foyer and entrance area, and some frayed tempers from the less patient guests. The food is excellent, as is the evening entertainment. Have stayed here a few times over the past 20 years, and will probably stay here when visiting Blackpool again.
Went mon- fri half board with grandchildren. Lovely hotel , staff were very attentive nothing was too much trouble, very very clean. The food was amazing grandchildren were thrilled to have so much choice. Rooms were great bathrooms small however that didn't bother us, gym and pool good games room for kids not so clever no net for table tennis and a bit crammed again not really bothered by that. All in all would recommend this hotel had a great time
