We stayed here as we drove from Sheffield on the Saturday for a basketball final that was on the Sunday. It was in a great location with lots of places to eat and some shops for shopping. When we arrived the lady behind Reception was really friendly and gave us information about parking. When we got to our room it was amazing and very spacious and very clean. Unfortunately later in the night the people above us left there bath on and it flooded our bathroom. We went straight down to reception and the lady couldn’t apologise enough and she moved us to a different room. While we were packing our stuff away the lady from reception came with a man I think he was the manager and they were both so apologetic. They offered us free drinks at the bar. The second room we were moved too was to just a high standard as the first room. I can not praise the staff or the venue enough I would highly recommend and I would definitely stay here again.
Stayed one night as attending a birthday night out nearby. Parking in retail park was easy, plenty parking spaces and easy access to the hotel. Check in friendly and efficient. Hotel amenities all explained at check in. Great quick lifts to all floors. Great touch having the ice machine next to the lifts. My room was on the 4th floor near the lift. Originally thought this would be noisy but i had no issue. Room set up as i requested with extra pillows. Large room with king bed and double sofa bed, although i didn't need that as friend couldn't make it. Room clean and tidy. Iron , board and hairdryer all in the room. Toiletries in the bathroom on the wall, good quality towels. Tea/ Coffee on tray...missed having a biscuit tho!. Great wifi reception in room, good heating and very comfortable bed. Bathroom shower was a great size. TV reception was good with all freeview channels. Food available after 5pm with some items available 24hrs. Breakfast had a good choice, all self serve. Hot items were bacon (hard as leather!) Scrambled eggs and sausages. I had lovely hot and cold items, pity about the bacon but sausages were lovely. Staff very helpful throughout my stay.
Hotel is centrally located in Hamilton about a 25 minute drive from Glasgow. Room was spotless (so hats off to the housekeeping folks) Bedroom was newly fitted out in contemporary style, much like the rest of the hotel. Fantastic huge king bed which was extremely comfortable. Reception staff were very friendly, particularly the Spanish girl who was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was excellent buffet style with a good selection with again friendly helpful staff. All in all top service and great value. We will be back.
I really liked the hotel. I had a room to myself, I was part of a large party. The hotel had to get lots of rooms ready for us. The check in process was easy, most of the rooms were ready, the ones that weren't didn't matter as we could leave luggage in another member of the group's room until we got back as we went out soon after arriving. The room I had was lovely. It could have done with a light near the door as it was a bit dark but apart from that the bed was great, the shower was easy to use and the towels smelled really nice! The breakfast was nice, the only downside was the croissants couldn't be put through the grill. There was a sign on it saying they may get stuck and burn, so I had toast instead. There was a fair amount of choice. for the food. Ian on reception who I saw when I checked out was very pleasant. I would recommend/ stay again If I was ever in Hamilton.
Immaculately clean, friendly staff, good location with plenty of things around to do, powerful shower, good sized tv and breakfast was good with option to ‘grab and go’ if you needed to. For the price you can’t go wrong with this hotel
Had an overnight stay with my daughter and my granddaughter. Our room was lovely. Comfy beds and great facilities. Have to say the staff that evening, Saturday 27th January, were fantastic. Made to feel extremely welcome when we arrived. When we came back from our evening out there was someone causing a bit of bother in the reception. When the staff seen us coming with my granddaughter they ushered us to the side until the matter was dealt with. Which was done very discreetly. We needed some extra bedding and once again the staff provided this with no bother whatsoever. Will definitely be back and would certainly recommend. Five stars for the staff that evening
Booked this hotel for one night as my elderly aunt stays in Hamilton and we were needed to take her to hospital for day surgery We wanted to be close at hand incase she required help We have never used Holiday Inn Express before but if they are all of this standard then this won't be the last The staff were lovely , welcoming and helpful Our room (109) on the first floor overlooked a very busy junction and initially I was expecting it to be noisy however we heard nothing due to the double glazing with secondary glazing as well The room was spotless , functional and had everything you could need Easy to control heating , fan ,hairdryer , tea tray , free wifi , free parking in the adjacent retail park ( just don't forget to log your car details on the touch screen on reception ) The bathroom looked as if it had been recently modernised and again it was spotless with liquid soap and shampoo Breakfast ( included in the room rate ) was adequate with cereals , tea / coffees , toast machine , pastries , and hot selection which was topped up frequently We would definitely stay here again
As expected, this hotel was a good example of a holiday inn. Very clean and tidy, friendly staff, good breakfast and nice all-round stay. Handy for Nando’s etc and right next to out of town shops. Recommended.
I am writing this review to thank all the staff who used a great deal of common sense and to the general manager who was willing to go above and beyond the call of duty to help a disabled man stuck in Hamilton due to very bad snow. Although he managed to get home their attitude was one of help and kindness and I can only say a huge thank you to everyone concerned!!
I stayed here for 2 nights, nice clean rooms and a comfy bed. Modern bathroom. Standard for this chain of hotels. The hotel is in a good location for somebody staying alone as next to a retail park with a few shops and places to eat. The staff were all friendly and I liked the self service breakfast options available. Would stay again if in the area.
