This hotel is simply one of the most amazing places we have ever stayed. It is beautiful beyond words - the setting, the views, the gardens, the pools. We felt so happy just being there that we wanted to stay longer and were immediately planning when we could return! We particularly loved the swimming pools - there is one for adults only which is really appreciated as nothing ruins the peaceful atmosphere like screaming children. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. The staff were all very friendly - special credit to the guy that worked at the pool (he had just started in September). When we checked in we were slightly disappointed that the room was quite small - we were on the cheapest rate - but actually it was very comfortable to stay in with a beautiful bathroom, so it ended up being just fine. I can't recommend this place highly enough, just go!
This place is absolutely amazing. Fabulous relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful rooms. The food is incredible. All Locally grown and sourced. Cooked with love. Great location for day trips but you must have a car. The pool area is Beautiful.
Sometimes emphasis is placed on the aesthetic of a hotel and the service is found wanting. At Kinsterna this is not case. Every aspect of the hotel and the service which it provides is second to none. Probably this is because Kinsterna is " a labour of love".
Room was a luxury suite with sea view, but had to stand up and walk down the vegetable garden to see the sea. Nice room though, and very well equipped. Bit strange when you arrive as you are buzzed in and collected by a golf buggy and taken to your room/apartment, after a tour in the buggy of the grounds. Felt a bit like we were entering an american style retirement village. Porter told us all coffee and drinks were complimentary in the room, but then we were charged on leaving. Evening meal was a bit pretentious and very, very expensive. Breakfast was amazing though, and probably one of the best spreads we have ever seen. Lots of activities going on, all at a premium rate, and a few questionable sales items - for example, you can sponsor an olive tree for £150!! Spa was way out of our price range, with one treatment around £180 so we skipped those, which was a shame. There is a lady on the desk when you come out of breakfast whose job it seemed to be was to sell you the hotel activities which was a bit off putting. Very nice place though, and down the road from the very beautiful Monemvasia, which is where we spent most of our time, and is an absolute must if you are staying at this hotel.
Stayed for a long weekend with my family and other friends. The mansion is amazing with great outdoor areas and one of the best outdoor pool I have experienced. The breakfast buffet is very rich and the ingredients used are mostly local. The dinner menu is out of this world! We had both days dinner there and wished we could have had more! Stayed in one of the residences and enjoyed a spectacular sunrise from our balcony. Overall it has been a great weekend in a hotel that is a real gem with exceptional staff.
My husband and I recently spent three nights at Kinsterna (having booked a 'three nights for the price of two' deal). We knew from the website that we were in for a special treat - however all our expectations were surpassed (and then some more). The hotel exudes tranquility and calm, an old manor house beautifully and spectacularly restored, set in the most wonderful surroundings, nature at its very best. The hotel kitchen uses local produce as much as possible, the food is fresh, innovative, and most importantly extremely delicious. We stayed in one of the Premium Residences (A15), and had our own private veranda, with two extremely comfortable sun chairs and a view of the sea and Monemvasia (although the view could have been even more spectacular if one of two trees were not in the way!). Our room had its own walk-in wardrobe and a magnificent bathroom made from local stone. Only slight criticism is that the lighting in both the bedroom and bathroom was a little on the dark side (it did make us look extra sun-tanned in the mirrors though!!😂). The staff were wonderfully helpful at all times. On our first morning we went on a 10am tour of the property (I think this tour is offered every day) - and learnt an enormous amount about the history of Kinsterna from the very informative Anastasia (I hope I have remembered her name correctly!). I hugely recommend this tour, it is really fascinating. One final thing - at the time of year we were there (early October) - the hotel was wonderfully quiet - we were barely aware of any other residents at all. However even in the height of the summer I am sure it never feels crowded, there are so many separate areas where one can escape to, different terraces, two different pools etc etc.
This hotel should get 10 stars. It’s one of the best boutique hotels in Greece. FYI, Service - 10; Food & Beverage-10; Rooms - 10; Architecture & Design -10; Spa - 10; Maintenance & Repair - 10. Amazing experience!
We recently attended a wedding of a family member here. It was fantastic. Great service, beautiful rooms, gorgeous setting. The breakfast buffet was varied and all sourced from their own gardens. The staff was warm and helpful. Definitely want to return.
IT was a huge pleasure to spend two nights in the Kinsterna Hotel. The estate and grounds of the hotel are beautifully maintained, the food in the three different restaurants was delicious and the staff could not be more helpful and polite. The garden room we had was spacious and comfortable although a little dark. The hotel provides excellent amenities for couples and families alike. I would certainly return again.
My husband and I came to Kinsterna for a friend's wedding. The hotel provided the perfect setting and the staff did everything possible to make the guests feel welcome. It even felt as if the staff was part of the wedding party they cared so deeply about getting everything right. They helped make the wedding as beautiful as I could be! Even with a packed hotel the service was quick, extremely friendly and forward thinking. We also got to enjoy the hotel after most guests had left and the level of service remained on the same high level. The food all locally sourced and especially the breakfast is fresh and so delicious. Our four night stay feels much longer to us because we were able to completely disconnect. We would certainly love to come again! Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable! We highly recommend a stay at Kinsterna!
