It was clean and peaceful and had a beautiful view

Property outside is beautiful - rooms are outdated and need work.

Great location. Near legoland. Nice lake view. Good size room.

Pleny of space in room. Relaxing scenic outdoor area.

The lake is beautiful. The condition of the building is it is in great need of upgrading and maintenance. The hotel door to our room didn’t feel safe, it was chintzy. Breakfast is fake eggs, margarine, and terrible tasting grits. I couldn’t eat anything but the fruit. But the bed is comfortable. The place just feels tired, it must have been wonderful back in the day.

Nice hotel. Reception office needs renovation. Nice place close to Legoland.

It was nice to be on a lake. My son had a great time fishing.

This will appeal to persons who value lakeside view with screened porch. If one smokes ,there are chairs outside with covered area. The rooms are clean.THis is a family run facility. It hasn't been updated as far as furnishings, but refridgerator and microwave available. The pool at lakeside.reasonably priced. Many restaurants within 3 mile area.

We checked in after midnight with no issues, the manager even helped us with our luggage! Super close to legoland and the pool was great to relax in after a busy day at legoland. We had fun feeding the fish & ducks as well.

Family vacation of 6, the youngest is 18 months and oldest 66 and we each had something to do. We had a very enjoyable stay.

I read several other reviews before choosing this hotel. Most of them were very accurate, but some said much more about the reviewer than the hotel itself. For example, some reviewers did not like the hotel's age or somewhat rustic nature. My response to that is, if you want to luxury, go to the Four Seasons. You'll pay three to six times as much, be an hour away from Legoland, and will miss out on the lakefront charm and overall ambience. We had a great experience here, and it was an excellent value. The property is about 5 minutes from Legoland, and sits overlooking a beautiful, small, but skiable lake. Amenities include lakefront picnic shelters, a boat dock, private beach, a volleyball court, and a beautiful pool. I believe the hotel is pet-friendly, as well. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. They provided a home-cooked breakfast on the day of check out, and even took care of a couple out of state line workers who were staying there while helping with repairs from Hurricane Irma -- despite the fact that they were a few minutes late for breakfast, which goes from 8 to 10. We look forward to our next stay when we return to Legoland for the Christmas event.

Accommodating staff to welcome us when we arrived very late at night. Road noise was too loud for me though. Nice view of the lake, but there is no beach. There is some sand that extends into the lake and a sand volleyball court.

This will be our go-to place for our next trip to LegoLand. It's not perfect, and there are some area's that could be improved on, but for us it was just what I was hoping for.

It was a last minute booking, but nevertheless, the stay was great and the rooms were comfortable.

Has great personality and potential. Needs a face lift but did the job.

We stayed two nights in townhouse - 4 adults and 3 young children. We would stay here again. The staff was acommodating to assist us. The continental breakfast was appropriate.

To start, we will stay here again if we are in the area. It was perfect for us. That said, some may not agree. We had a 2 room suite with a screen porch on the 1st level overlooking the pool toward the beach area. This had everything we needed and the 'negative' items did not bother us at all, though it might be an issue for others. Negatives: In our room, the toilet was not really attached very well to the floor. To say the least it rocked a bit. But with some practice holding a perch on the rolling seat and accomplishing the mission at hand is possible. Lots of examples of the need for a handyman to spend some time around the place. The screendoor on our porch would jamb shut if you were not careful letting it close. Our umbrella (yes we also had a table on a patio outside our screen porch) was aged and not functional. Many of the tables and chairs on the grounds were in poor repair. Pick your seat carefully to be safe. Some folks want perfection in their accommodations when travelling. We enjoyed walking around and seeing 'the potential'!

The parking was extremely tight. The staff were nice and friendly. The townhouse rooms were large with a lot of sleeping areas a full kitchen downstairs and kitchenette in the master bedroom. The room itself could use a lot of upgrading. There were screened decks on both the top and bottom floor which could be nice however the floors were extremely dirt.
