No frills, old school hotel. Ski in, ski out. Would def stay here again.

What a great find! Location is amazing, walking distance to everything even in the cold. Good views no matter which side of the hotel. Loved the club deck with 3 hot tubs and club house.

Very Charming, great place to stay with family and friends.

Very accommodating and friendly staff. Perfect location for what I needed to do over the weekend. Will definitely come back for other training weekends coming up this year and in the future.

Great location, some annoying other guests, but overall awesome. Would absolutely stay again.

This hotel has a great location. In the morning you, just have a 3 minutes walk to Squaw Village and the ticket booth to get your lift tickets. We arrived at night and it was VERY hard to find. There were no signs out on the road and even the sign on the hotel door is very tiny. We ended up going into another Squaw Lodge and asking for directions. Turns out we had driven right by and hadn't even noticed it. Also, the front desk closes at 7pm so if you arrive after that you have to call a number and they give you the code to a lockbox to get your hotel key. Both of our cell phones were about to run out of batteries, but thankfully we were able to call and get in. The room was comfortable. With a queen bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa bed. The garage parking with an elevator up to the room would be helpful if the weather was bad.

The Red Wolf is a fabulous spot right at the base of Squaw Valley. The rooms are small, but very comfortable and the view of the ski resort can't be beat. The kitchens are well stocked and the outdoor decks are a great place to unwind after a full day skiing. Hot tub and club house are nice bonuses and then it is just a 2-minute walk to the Squaw Valley village to access lots of dining options.

From the moment we checked in the staff was very helpful in planning our itinerary for a wonderful weekend at Squaw Valley. Nice accomidations, at the base of Red Dog. Must be fantastic during the winter, ski in and ski out. Bottom line, I would recommend this hotel to my friends and wouldnt hesitate staying there again.

great deal, ski in/out, accommodating staff; would definitely stay again.

Booking agent didn't get my info to the hotel before the staff left for the day (not 24 hour) so it was a bit tricky getting my room at midnight but great value and location. Not 5 star but more a classic chalet feel.

We enjoyed staying at the Red Wolf. Good accommodations and good service. Away from the busy-ness around Lake Tahoe. Good spot from which to base bike trips during the summer.

Room had spectacular view. Service was good.

We love the location of the hotel. It is right next to Red Dog ski lift and Squaw kids. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Late check in is not a problem.

Excellent room, friendly service and splendid amenities.

Loud music until 3AM nightly. No Pool. Hot room. When I told hotel checkout about 3 AM music, they refunded hotel surcharge. [...]

Very nice beautiful area had a great time, Lots of trails too to ride your bike alot of activities

Staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. Large unit, very clean. Only a few minutes from Lake Tahoe. Rental includes use of exercise room & equipment (including bikes, fishing equip.), hot tub, wi-fi. All the stuff that most places charge extra for. Even free DVDs!

it was great!

Great one night stay at Squaw. The hotel was great and the village had everything. Beautiful location and great views!

Accomodations were OK and we thought to be a good value until we checked out.We found out then that we were responsible for a sizeable resort fee. When we booked in we were told that we would be responsible for telephone calls and for any used recreation equipment. We used neither but still owed a fee by caustic checkout clerk. Obviously, they did not make us aware of the full cost of using their facility when checking in.
