This is the first place we checked in in our trip which includes 4 other hotels. We were surprised to see the place. It was spacious, clean, cozy with cabin cottage style. The place had all we need for a comfortable stay. It is close to the shopping/ dining area. Our room also had a beautiful view of the mountains. We regret not booking another night there. We would like to go back to this property in the future.

Stayed there between summer and ski season. Excellent value. Not particularly crowded. Easy drive to lakeside on the quieter north side. Staff helpful and friendly. At the foot of the ski runs literally at the base of the mountains. And on the edge of a great golf course.

Wonderful place for a summer vacation

We absolutely loved the Red Wolf Lodge. Our one bedroom apartment was huge, beautiful, and had a full kitchen and even a balcony. Spotlessly clean. We also made use of the free bikes which saved us a lot of money vs renting them; and there is a nice bike trail that starts right on the property. The Palisades has a beautiful hike right on the property called Shirley Canyon which was awesome. We felt so comfortable here we felt like we could live there full time. The price we paid was also quite low considering the quality. Highly recommended.

We had a nice 1 bedroom unit on the 1st floor with a firepit right outside our room. 3 hot tubs and lots of deck chairs & tables. The only thing we wish there was a swimming pool

End of Summer Escape

This was our second visit to the property. The interior of the rooms is a cabin vibe. The rooms are clean and everything was in working order. We explored the amenities including the outdoor games of corn hoke and ping pong. The clubhouse had a fantastic kitchen, lounge and sitting area. It also has a fire pit with a sitting area. The property sits at the base of the ski resort which is probably perfect for the skiers in winter. The property offered free bikes and beach chairs which we did use. It’s located close to the shops and restaurants in the village. It’s approximately 8 mi from Tahoe City. It was a peaceful location with the beautiful mountains surrounding it.

Great stay any season

Excellent location in Squaw Valley. They have a wonderful bike path which travels down to the Truckee River and onto Tahoe City. The Lodge/Lounge was in great condition and had many amenities. The room was clean and spacious.
