We are from Texas, north of San Antonio, Texas hill country, Canyon Lake area. We were so glad to get out of the heat for a week at Squaw Valley. The property is located in a beautiful location, at the base of the mountain the gondola travels on, large Ponderosa Pine trees are in view on the back of the property. The landscaping of Aspen trees and rock fountains, water flowing, make the court yard a beautiful place to enjoy the cool air in the afternoon.

Enjoyed the beautiful surroundings and the facilities. Staff was excellent. Room was clean and well equipped. Convenient to the Village and all the activities there plus easy access to the nearby towns.

Beautiful, relaxing setting. Beds are very comfortable. Hide a bed couch was fairly old and worn out. Nice accommodations for my husband who can’t go up and down stairs, and the room had a step in shower, not bath. We were disturbed one afternoon by yelling kids and adults right by our room, then again in the evening by running children in the room above us, which was not the resorts fault.

This inn was built for the 1960 Olympics, so it is quite old. But, it is very homey, quaint and has everything you need. Great WiFi, lots of hot tubs, cooking facilities, etc. We were there very early in the season, so several of the restaurants and stores in the valley were not open yet. Imperative to bring your own food or you will be driving to tahoe city or elsewhere for food. Definetely a bike friendly place, lots of places to rent if you don't want to drag a bike there.

Olympic Valley Inn is located in a unusual location for a resort. The rooms are old smelling along with out of date decor and amenities. I would not recommend staying off season as this is a ski resort area.

We have stayed at this resort several times and we enjoy it very much. The buildings are older but they are well maintained and have been updated somewhat. What we really enjoy is the surrounding mountains, and the grounds are kept beautifully. In the past we have enjoyed the fact that you can use the bikes at any time; however, this time they were not available being that it was not the season, very disappointed in that! We really love riding the river trail into Tahoe City but this time we had to rent bikes from a vendor. So beware of what season you book in as some of the amenities may not be available.

We stayed in the Olympic Village Inn for 2 nights over the weekend in April, 2019. We were booked into a unit with a small kitchenette with pull out soft bed, and a separate bedroom connected by a bathroom. It was clean and cozy. Heating was via wall units with fan forced hot air. These units are a bit noisy. Overall, I found the units to be well equipped and we were able to be well rested for our time on the slopes. We did not use the hot tubs, but many did. The room slept 4 (2 children on the sleeper sofa and 2 adults in the bedroom). The bed was a bit soft and it was queen size. Parking was very convenient and close to the unit.

My stay at Olympic Village Inn was much needed respite care after feeling symptoms of nursing burnout. I participated in the free yoga sessions offered here on site. I’ll admit that I’m not a skier ⛷ at all but I wish I took advantage of the ski lift while here. I did ultimately get to do the Aerial Tram. My first impression of my room was that it was super neat and well furnished. If you get hungry, you’ll have to go offsite for food. Door Dash and Uber Eats does not appear to deliver here. However, there is the option to use the Mountaineer App as a local type of Uber. This room was offered to me courtesy of my friend, Todd H., who didn’t get a chance to come up here himself. Thanks Todd! (It kinda felt like taking advantage of a time share🙂) While you’re out here, have fun and most importantly, take time to relax!

We loved our stay at Olympic village inn. Kids loved the games room and all the family loved the hot tubs after a day on the slopes. The proximity to the ski field was great. A shuttle ran most days for guests to use.

We had a great time. 4 of us shared the room with boys on sleeper sofa. Great location and scenery. Just a walk to squaw valley skiing. Liked the design of the Inn. Not very crowded as we went on dec. 16 for 4 nites. Plan to go bsck soon.
