We were told during the confirmation call that the parking garage was closed. It is a significant hike from the lot to the elevator with our luggage. Fortunately we could park fairly close and rolling luggage racks were available. The resort has spectacular scenery and the staff were very helpful. The best surprise was a really great fitness center with hot tub, sauna and steam rooms

Imagine sleeping in loft of the third story condo during a summer heat wave with inside temps in the 90s, while being notified by e-mail days before the stay there is no AC ( with the justification that it’s not common in the area). If that sounds good I recommend this place.

We liked the location. However, there is no A/C and the room would reach the mid 80's. They told us to use the fans, we would open the windows and try to cool it down, but only cooled 5-7 degrees. The screens on the window were bent and barely hanging on, we would have to sleep with the windows open and the cheap blinds would bang against the window the entire night keeping us awake. The mattress on the murphy bed was miserably uncomfortable. In addition, the smoke detectors began chirping at 10pm on the first night (so they aren't changing the batteries regularly) and we had to get on a stool and take both units down. To top it off, the coffee pot didn't work correctly and the coffee would flow all over the counter tops instead of in the carafe.

The property itself and the resort are wonderful. This not a hotel this is private owners condos being rented out by the resort. The website or however you book it is bare bones with little to no description of the actual place. I was staying with 3 people who all wanted their own bed. The picture showed a single and a queen with a pill out sofa. The description said 1 queen bed.

Mountain resort with no A/C and no much food choices near by during summer.

We stayed one night here when we were snowed in at Kirkwood and weren't able to stay another night in our Airbnb condo because it was going to be used by the owner (not sure they made it up). We quickly booked a room with the Kirkwood Mountain Lodge. Unfortunately, electricity went out briefly and blew up the boiler so no rooms had hot water. The staff was very nice, calm, and tried to accommodate everyone as best they could. Our room was a nice studio with a beautiful view of the mountain. My husband and nephew enjoyed the hot tub. We were happy to have a parking spot in the garage as it snowed several feet of snow.

Stayed in The Meadows room on the resort, 1 queen bed with fireplace, access to a small back patio, bathroom was very clean with nice shampoo/lotion/soap. Didn't use the jacuzzi, but had access to the jacuzzi. Front desk staff was very nice, even though we had checked in so late. Walking distance to the resort, which was nice. It would've also been nice if they allowed parking after we had checked out, since we ended up skiing the day we checked out.

Front Desk closes at 5 pm; good luck checking in later No restaurant services No room service Facility not a hotel; it is a bare bones skiers lodge

We booked this last minute on our way to Tahoe...awesome deal!

Had a wonderful experience. Didn't realize the room we stayed had full kitchen. It was a pleasant experience. It would have been nice if that was mentioned on the website. We would love to stay there in the future.

The resort had no record of our reservation - they said their staff hadn't gotten to inputting the emails reserving the room yet. They did find a room, but it was a subdivided larger unit so our room had no heat. It was below 40 degrees. Eventually, the staff brought in space heaters that made it tolerable. The room itself was kind of dingy, but we were there to ski, not hang out in the hotel room. All this I would have forgiven because the location is so great (super close to 2 lifts) - until I came home and saw on my credit card statement that Kirkwood had billed me even though I already paid for it through the on-line booking site. While we were there, the staff was really nice and the location is great - but a run down room without heat in the middle of winter certainly isn't worth paying twice for, no matter how close to the lifts it is.
