Our room was comfortable and clean. We loved using the common room with fireplace. The owners were on site and very helpful. Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed three nights. It is a nice hotel to stay. The room was big with the high ceiling. The room and bathroom were clean. The mattress was comfortable but the bed sheets were old and did not smell fresh. We got the vibe of Victorian style. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas season. The price is too high for this type of hotel.

Pros: I liked the location and free parking. It definitely had an old feel, but the room was nicer than I thought it would be. It was less tacky than some of the photos online. The bed was tempurpedic, so it was comfortable! Free coffee in the morning! Lady at the front desk was friendly. Cons: I found a few hairs in the bathroom. There were blinds missing in the bathroom and no curtain, so people could have seen me naked. There was annoying music when I was trying to go to sleep that I had to drown out with my own music (bring ear plugs). The hot tub area in the basement had a weird vibe. No elevator, so hope that you don't get put on the top floor.

I love staying at this hotel. One thing that I noticed (but not until the end of the trip) was that they didn’t have recycling bins in the rooms or tissues. Other than that I enjoyed the room!

Great location in Lake Placid. Rooms and beds are pretty simple and basic.

The hotel, staff and bistro were great. We stayed in room 210 and it was terrible. Mold in the tub, stains on the sheets, paint peeling and chipping on the walls and window sills. Also the room was cold (two windows were cracked).
